Title: World Stunts Meeting 2005
Post by: JTK on August 17, 2004, 11:42:39 AM
Zak, we need a new thread called World Stunts Meeting 2005 now.  :)

When and where shall we meet again? Jacky, did you already ask your parents for their house in Aarhus?  :D
Or KHR, what about your parents' house? Or France? Or ...? Or ...?

:?:

If it is like this year, that is me alone at home with wife and children still away for holidays, I can have people at my home. Many rooms with real beds for sleeping instead of sleeping bags  :D (remember it Zak ?) but only 1 computer. :?
Problem is that Paris is not really close and there's nothing special to visit...

Well, I thought Aarhus was the final destination :?:  :!:  :?:

If this does not work - my place is possible, too or maybe at JTK?s :?:`

The thing is THAT we meet!  :!:  :!:

So long, KHR

Aarhus, Kiel, Trilbardou or anywhere, I will be there, I'm almost sure. I can't miss a World Stunts Meeting. I think it will be even more better than it was! :)

I'm dying to see Rotoi in Europe next year!!!!!!! :D

I'll start to save money from now. So main objectives this year would be:
- New computer ($450)
- Cable internet connection ($30/month)
- Vacations in summer ($70/$100)
- World Stunts Meeting! ($2700?) :?

BTW Excellent pics Akoss!

Well, KHR, if you keep your children far away from Akoss    there could be space enough.

And what about Aarhus, Bonzai?

Oh yeah they would do horrible things to Akoss if I ?d set them free.  8)

As long as Akoss brings tons of chocolate for them I might get them calm

so long, KHR

Well, I haven't quite found out about my hosting opportunities, but I think it may be possible. I just don't think it would be a particularly good idea. Firstly, while Aarhus may be bigger than Trilbardou, and quite a nice place to be, there is nothing special to see here either. Secondly, I am the most northern Stunts driver, and my town is the generally most distant from everyone (except of course the South Americans). Thirdly, I only have one computer capable of playing Stunts. I may be able to mobilize another if I can persuade some of you to bring some parts, though (mainly a screen).

So all in all, I am an option, but I should think there are better options.

Quote from: "Jacky"Aarhus may be bigger than Trilbardou
Every town is bigger than Trilbardou. We are only 520 people living here.

About location for Stunts meeting, I think Germany would be good.
Germany is about equal distance for all European pipsqueaks : France, Denmark, Hungary, ...
Now, where in Germany is the question.

Well... we're working hard on it... What about near Hameln (eng.: Hamlin)? KHR and me will tell soon, if it is possible.  :)
Title: Hameln
Post by: Krys TOFF on August 25, 2004, 04:13:05 PM
Hameln possibility with road travel :
Aarhus - Hameln : 547 km :D
Trilbardou - Hameln : 723 km :)
Budapest - Hameln : 1073 km :?
Hendaye - Hameln : 1535 km :(

Title: World Stunts Meeting 2005
Post by: JTK on August 30, 2004, 12:40:32 PM
O.K., that is our offer:

We could meet at KHR's place, that is a small village called Hemeringen, 10 km near Hameln. There ist space enough for some people to sleep in the house, also there is space for tents in the garden. We could - of course - do live races, and best of all: Race on wide screen (diagonal 2,3 meters :!:  :!:  :!: ), because KHR built a beamer on his own.

Only there is not that much possibilities for activities as in Budapest around: One could go th Hameln one day (and watch the Pied Piper (Rattenf?nger)), there also is a summer sledging run nearby, we could walk or cycle through the mountains, there is an old castle nearby, we could go by ship on the Weser river. We could also go to Hannover one day. Maybe Satanziege and/or Diesel Joe also have some ideas.

The cost of living will be of course a little bit higher than in Hungary. Cooking for all is possible. And if some people, especially from Germany come by car, we could use them, instead of the not that good and expensive public traffic in the area.

So, what do you think of this?
Title: World Stunts Meeting 2005
Post by: Akoss Poo a.k.a. Zorromeister on August 30, 2004, 01:16:27 PM
Wow, it sounds really good. To be honest, I don't really like cultural programs, sightseeing, so maybe it will be even better than it was in Budapest. Especially if Krys and Alan comes, too. :)
Title: World Stunts Meeting 2005
Post by: DieselJoe on August 30, 2004, 01:27:55 PM
Hey, that would be about 70 km from here - that sounds great for me! :D If nothing serious happens, I will come, of course, too! By the way, I would come by car. Most of the way is simply along the B1, so I should be able to do it in Powergear!

About activities... although you can see a lot of south-east-asiatic  tourists here, I don't think Hildesheim should be that interesting... :? Other ideas... I'll think about it
Title: World Stunts Meeting 2005
Post by: satanziege on August 30, 2004, 02:01:32 PM
Pretty cool ;) I don't think that there are many things that would keep me from coming this time.
If it survives so long i'll come by car too (so by now there should be enough places in cars for everyone ;) )

I'll think about activities too. Thanks already to you!

Post by: BonzaiJoe on August 30, 2004, 07:56:14 PM
Sounds good to me too. I don't think I will come by car, but I definitely will come. Although I really liked to see Budapest and do things there, I think being in a small village would give us more time to play Stunts, which is also great :D. I will be very disappointed if Alain doesn't come next year...
Title: meeting 2005
Post by: Krys TOFF on September 06, 2004, 11:14:41 AM
Around 700 km for me (half the distance that was for Budapest for me) so I can do it by car, even if I'm alone (it's always better when there are 2 persons, to avoid sleeping when driving. ).
So, if date is not in july : I WILL COME ! :D

For Alain, distance is a problem. But, if he goes to Paris (by train or plane), I can take him and we can go together with my car. Alain, is this something possible for you ?

It's good to hear that Satanziege and DJ will come. What about Argammon ?

Also, we should try to contact dutch pipsqueaks, even if they are not active anymore. It's not a long distance for them, and it would be good to see them too.

Post by: Aussiechris on November 11, 2004, 12:37:49 PM
G'day guys,

Im an aussie who will be spending 2005 in the UK. I would love to be involved in the world stunts meeting if you have room for another driver. Introduced to stunts at an early age, the game means a lot to me and while i am a little rusty, I am willing to help out where I can. I am not too great on my European geography (should have payed attention in school) so let me know as more happens.

cheers,

Chris

Hello Chris, it's great to hear from you!

I am quite sure you can come to the meeting, and we're all looking forward to see you (although of course KHR has to confirm this - he's hosting it). Hameln is in Germany, so you will have to fly or sail from the UK to mainland Europe, and go by train or car to Hameln (if you look at a European map, it is near Hannover, in the middle of Germany (slightly to the north).
Just check this thread for news and updates about the meeting. In the meantime, you can exercise your Stunts skills in the competitions! Everybody is welcome, and it doesn't matter if you're not the best in the world, not everybody is. Go to "http://stunts.mine.nu/" to see some competitions. My favourite is Zakstunts. Looking forward to seeing you on the scoreboards!

Greetings from Bonzai Joe

Welcome to the community Aussiechris!

Is there any night club to pick girls in Hameln? I don't have any german girl in my list :) (well my ex-girlfriend was Tieffemberg, full german blood but she doesn't born there ;))

Uh - ah, well, I don't know really, maybe KHR does. But normally in German night clubs German girls are very seldom - most of them come from Russia and so on.

I -really- wonder about the prizes some of you mention here.I seriously doubt 2700$ from argentinia or 300$ from lithuania.Do I get a small discount if I show you ideas to come by less than the half? Be imaginative ;)

krys: if you come by hendaye, be sure there is enough room for you and your family in my home. its a vacation city, and you are welcome. i hope we can meet one day, and i hope we will meet this summer in trilbardou, hendaye or at the stunts meeting.

we have plenty of time to think about your offer to share the car charges for the stunts meeting. lets think about it.

hanovre is 1520 kms from hendaye.

And thinking it over.I don't want to hear his stupid comments either.

But I will give ya a tip:If you play the same lottery numbers each week it does NOT increase your chance to win. What a stupid idea Alain.

But let's see about my mood in July...

Yes, you deserved it: valuation was counted without my participation. I finished 2nd in that season but removed myself from the list, so Alain was 2nd and you were 3rd. The same system will work for the last season and maybe something different in the next one.
