Brutal record on Alps with GT1 (I solved the slick problem), although the middle sector was very weak.

Alps 3:02.93 (GT1)

I know, always updating the record list. You can't blame me for killing Akoss' enthusiasm to this game with my better lap records. ;D

(Auvergne and Schwarzwald are my worst tracks...  >:( Too many consecutive corners with walls around it)

Maybe I should make an NFS video for YouTube. ;)

Title: Re: Need For Speed Porsche

Btw hints for those who want to play this game in the future (maybe only Akoss Poo):

"Proper" settings of GT1 (the one I use at the moment):

Ride height: ~15%
Stiffness, brakes and other scales: 50%
Downforce: front 60, rear 20
Tyre pressure: front 45, rear 40 (obviously slicks)

Gear ratio:
1st: -0.10
2nd: -0.15
3rd: -0.15
4th: -0.10
5th: -0.05
6th: -0.25
reverse: 0.00
final: -0.50

993 Turbo seems to be a good alternative (not on damned fast speedways, like Autobahn or Zone Industrielle). Close ratio gearbox is essential on slower tracks e.g. Corsica and Schwarzwald. Optimal settings are similar to GT1 (except gear ratios, you can't modify them here).

Give a try to these parameters and you will beat your old records easily.

I hate both of these tracks. ;D Don't forget to switch off damage, it helps a lot in Auvergne, Monte Carlo 2 and 4 (not so much on other tracks).

"Little" mistake from me, will be corrected as soon as I find the missing data: Monte Carlo 2, Corsica and Pyrennées records were completed on reverse tracks (some of the world records too, the game collects the bkw and mirrored track results on the same scoreboard).

I know that these are the tracks where I have the biggest chance. Auvergne is my favourite, and I'm sure that at the same conditions, I can drive the better lap on that track. Schwanzwald is around the mid on my list of favourites.

I would like to try it, but maybe not on the super slow CPU at home... but who knows...

2:04.68 - Pyrennées (GT1)
2:11.31 - Corsica (GT1)

Weak times from you - are these really the best car settings? Or you just want to mislead me.  ;D

NFS Porsche, one more system requirement: proper reinstallation intervals... on my current notebook, the CPU speed is around a 16 MHz one... it takes 15 minutes for the system to be loaded... but soon I will get a new notebook.

Only a few tries, usually I drive the other directions. As far as I remember, my old records were a bit better on these three tracks (2:03.xx on Pyrennées, 2:08.xx on Corsica, 50.5x on Monte Carlo 2).

I would like a completely blank version. The evolution and the factory driver are always good training before time hunting competition.

But now: 'big task'. 50/400.

As fast as it was throughout years... or a bit faster, because my mother selected 1 category faster internet for herself since then.

Internet connection speed is irrelevant now because the MSN file transfer is limited by other (unknown) cirumstances. We had 100 Mbps internet in the hostel (now 30 Mbps at home), but I could send only 1-2 Mbps with messenger to another computer in the same network.

Driving an 356B or 911 Targa won't help you too much. You can modify the name of the existing characters by editing the .sav (?) file (I have to check it), so you can already use GT1 or 911 Turbo ('95).

Zone Industrielle2:07.31 (GT1)2:05.28 (GT1)1:52.96 (GT1)

Edit #1, 9th April 2013: if I compare Poo's personal records to my top 10 times on every tracks... well... his Alps, Corsica, Monte Carlo 1/3/4/5, Normandie and Zone Industrielle performance wouldn't be enough for the list, while he would be 9th on Cot'e D'Azur and Schwarzwald, 8th on Autobahn and Monte Carlo 2, 5th on Pyrennées and 4th on Auvergne.

Edit #2, 19th April 2013: I was so close to my personal best with 911 Turbo ('00) - and then drove an "almost perfect" one with GT1. Minus -1.7 seconds... :D

Edit #3, 21st April 2013: such an easy new record on Auvergne... 2:46.56!

Edit #4, 22nd April 2013: new settings, new records (Cot'e D'Azur, Pyrennées, Corsica). It's hard to adopt the "reverse" downforce values (40-25 ---> 25-50).

Edit #5, 25th April 2013: hmmm... the hsscoring source is not reliable at all. The 2004-2008 scoreboards are excluded (irrealistic times, like 1:xx on Alps and so), except for Normandie - it seems to be a realistic one.

Edit #6, 25th April 2013: Cot'e D'Azur under 2:07.

Edit #7, 26th April 2013: MC2, 51.06

Edit #8, 28th April 2013: MC1, MC3 and Alps records.

Under Windows 7 I had video troubles (triangles, triangles everywhere!!!) which were solved by switching to software rendering, IIRC. Any luck with that? Or does it just (cowardly) refuse to start?

1) Just a link which works.

2) CTG, i will not pay my precious money on a douchebag!

3) I don't like torrents. Just a more better format like .exe

I will not accept any of this downloads with this formats:
.rar (accepted only if open and doesn't have password.)
.zip (accepted only if open and doesn't have password.)\
.torrent
