Title: Mini meetings
Post by: CTG on November 09, 2006, 05:25:12 PM
If you go to another pipsqueak's country/city: why not to meet at least for a beer? :) Like Hungarian Stunts Meeting in 2003 or the pre-meeting in 2005. Opinions?

Hungarians mini-meetings were daily a few years ago when Akoss and you were at the same school CTG. :D

Summer 2003 : mini-meeting in Trilbardou (France) between Zak and me. First official view of me in Stunts with my now famous Taz t-shirt. ;)

Yes, we had "some" (damned huge amount) live races between 1997 and 1999.

I do. It was planned taht I would go to live in Normandy last year but sadly it didn't happen. But there's not much free space in my home. When Zak came with friends they could have stayed home for the night because my 4 children were with their grand-parents. When we are all home, there's no real free space left... :-\

LOL :D

Anyway, Disneyland is not that great. Wait is too long and duration of each rollercoaster is too short.
Danish Tivoli parks (I know th one at Aarhus and the one at Copenhagen) are shorter than Disneyland but wait until you can do a rollercoaster ride is a lot more shorter. So I prefer Tivoli parks, or Asterix park (not far from my home too => http://www.parcasterix.fr/v2/default.asp select english version at bottom left).

Children prefer to see Mickey mouse and all other Disney characters, but you're old enough to know that there's no magic in Disneyland, just business, like any entertainement park.

OK, I can't make you change your mind if you're such a Disney fan. ;)
But when you have to pay 4 euros a bottle of 20cl of coca-cola (x4 as I have 4 children), I promise you that you'll forget any idea of magic and realize such the business this park is. Every single thing is very expensive. >:(

Yes it is....One of the friends I was there with, can almost eat as much as Jacob, so he spend most of his money buying food :) Though it was expensive I really loved it - "hallo I would like the Pluto Menu!" :)

Have I ever mentioned the mini-meetings of 2008 and 2009 in Kazincbarcika? Maybe not. Probably because it was not about Stunts , but talking, singing, böffing, eating, drinking in the wine cellar of Poo Sr. ;D

When was the last time you met another Stunts pipsqueak (except family members/close friends)?

As far as I remember:

September 2015 - kahdra, Akoss Poo
July 2009 - Zak McKracken
August 2008 - Bonzai Joe, Usrin, maybe Zak's family members (Andi? Umberto Ácsó?)
August 2006 - Lise, Dinmor, JTK, maybe other members of Zak's family (?)
August 2004 - KHR

My list thus far begins and ends with Renato Biker, September 2010.

July 2017 - Usrin (+his wife and son, who also played Stunts on that occasion)
September 2015 - CTG, Böbszlee
August 2008 - Bonzai Joe
June 2007 - Szabee
August 2006 - Lise, Dinmor, JTK
July 2005 - Krys Toff, Diesel Joe, Aignur
August 2004 - KHR
Don't know exactly (2003 HSM, 2004 WSM, 2005 WSM, 2006 WSM): Zak's and BJ's friends, relatives etc. who have ever driven a competitive Stunts track.
+old friends and dormitory inhabitants against who I ever played Stunts earlier, though they never had become competitive Stunts drivers

(...of course I saw kahdra 2 minutes ago and Lupuszka yesterday, but they don't count now.)

I never had the privilege to meet another...
JTK was the closest in a way because it were his high scores I was racing to beat...

Tuesday 16 May 2006, I met Paleke. He came to my place to talk about WSC and I showed him a prototype of Cas-Stunts, that would nine years later result in Bliss Track Editor. Other races I've met were relatives of mine. I've been to Buenos Aires a few times, but they didn't coincide with my active Stunts times, so I could've met Alan Rotoi, Gutix and others, but I didn't. Hopefully, one day.

I miss Paleke. Who can I contact him?

Is every time I see my brother (Manowar) a mini stunts meeting? ;D

I have tried to locate Paleke in the past. He's been to my home back in 2006 and I don't know what part of the city he lived back then, maybe still, but he was here in Córdoba. But I've checked here and in La Cueva de los Clásicos, reading old messages and sending e-mail to old addresses and haven't been able to get to him :(

I know that he visited AbuRaf and SergioBaro at some point. Maybe Sergio does have a phone number or an address that we could use to get to Paleke.

Bare minimum is that both you and your brother say the word "Stunts", for example:

— Hello, Stunts!
— Indeed, Stunts!

That counts as a mini-meeting. Mention "cork" or "Bernie" for extra points!
