Impressive again Lewis Hamilton.
It was surprising to see Ferrari unable to match McLaren after what they made on 1st tests in friday.
They said that there was a motoric problem with Raikk?nen's car, but they found it worthy not to change the motor, rather go for a lower performance in today's race, but avoiding a penalty for next race with this. I wonder if it's true, but yes, Hamilton beat both Ferraris. And I would really like to see a nigger victory in Bahrain! :)

B- I think title is harder. If McLaren is good enough to fight for the title (It seems they will so far) Alonso will be the world champion as he has more experience and maybe Hamilton will fail in critic situations.

I like Hamilton as well. I said it earlier in this topic that he's my favourite driver already. I'm also happy about his performance and I see what it means to F1 history, but I feel there's no reason to say everything he does well just because he's the first ever nigger to be in F1. His team would deserve it, I wonder how they are doing this after not winning any grand prix last year... I don't think McLaren being fast from one year to another means they used Ferrari's info. Teams develop technologies to be faster next year, sometimes they failed (see Renault this year or Williams when they tried that awful front wing, or many other teams in many other years), sometimes they don't, like McLaren did this year (and did not when Mika left and car wasn't fast enough to beat Ferrari which had improved a lot)

Well, last race will be exciting if Alonso manages to get the pole and win the race, and Ferrari is fast enough to bother Hamilton or Alonso.
It seems McLaren will dissapear next year and split in ProDrive (with Hamilton) and Mercedes (with Alonso). I'll stick for the team that keeps McLaren historical colours. If none of them does, I'll go for Hamilton.
I'm happy to see that championship title will be decided in the very last race, it makes the championship even more interesting.

Nothing strange ? It was nothing strange in Lewis failure : only his and his team mistakes. It was 3 or 4 laps that his tyres were completely bad, and when Lewis and Ron Dennis finally understood that it was too late. With such tyres, he couldn't join properly the pitstop part which was still completely wet. Just the stupidest way to loose a potential world champion title IMO.

I wasn't talking about the accident, I was talking about the historical moment of sport when the first ever nigger collided with Nico Hülkenberg on a rainy Brazilian Grand Prix when Michael Schumacher completed his last grand prix before retirement.
But I think it wasn't really Hülkenberg's mistake. Or at least it shouldn't have been punished - is it something special when somebody skids on the wet road during a car race? The problem was the overlapped driver's presence, but that was bad luck, not a mistake to be punished. It would have been good to see a Hülkenberg-Hamilton top2 yesterday.

When Hülkenberg started the overtaking procedure, I was absolutely sure about the accident. Forever Hülkenberg anyway! ;D
I hope Mercedes will be crappy in 2013. Hamilton has to show something in a weak car, else his results from the past will be considered as "driving the best car" factor.
I feel absolutely the same for Räikkönen... they both should sit in Mercedes in 2013... sadly, Räikkönen won't...

But I think it wasn't really Hülkenberg's mistake. Or at least it shouldn't have been punished - is it something special when somebody skids on the wet road during a car race? The problem was the overlapped driver's presence, but that was bad luck, not a mistake to be punished. It would have been good to see a Hülkenberg-Hamilton top2 yesterday.

Sure, it was just a race accident. I hate the current view of stewards about punishing every little mistakes and "mistakes". When X at 300 kmh tries to overtake Y at 290 kmh, strange things can happen. And not only by will... (yes, I know, the speed is significantly lower at the beginning of those S curves).
I think Drive-through penalty comes because Stewards understand Hulkenberg's move was too risky and could have been easily avoided. It's like in law, when someone has no intention of harming anybody but does so by doing something dangerous. For example the law doesn't say Max speed allowed on the street changes if it snows (it rarely does here) but if you cause a crash because you're going at 40km/h on a snowy street, you are to be blamed anyway.
I think everybody watching the race knew that was going to end badly, cars where drifting all over the track in many corners. Hulkenberg should have known that and prevented it, but didn't. There's no intention, but there is negligence.

OTOH, there were many overtakes at the first corner, and any of them could have ended badly through a small mistake by the overtaking driver. The message here seems to be "if you crash at someone, take him out of the race and are lucky enough to escape, you will be punished no matter what", which doesn't sit well with me. The "race accident" category CTG referred to is being quickly driven to extinction...
(Though you do have a point in saying that everyone watching could sense that it would end in tears... :-X)

That's true, but Hulkenberg tried that when the track was at its worst moment of the entire race... Also, we know it's not the same if any top dog tries it because they have more talent + better car so risk is significantly lower.
I don't agree with the penalty either, just trying to reason why it was given...

At this point, I'd say there simply aren't objective grounds to dispute or begrudge Hamilton's greatness, and I don't think it's my fanboyism speaking here. He should be, at the very least, a strong candidate to any all-time top 5 greats list.

Somehow I stopped paying attention to F1 in the early 00s though, and most names I remember are probably from the 90s ;D
