I'm in, check your mailbox, please... ;)
I will. Tonight, when I'm home. :)
Not only Stunts 1.0 this year then. Good, I suck with 1.0 and the car crashes when landing on jumps.
;) Well, then show us your skills and prove that you can be faster than Jacky! 8)
top time is f**k fast,
i hope i didn't do that bad for my first try
grtz
Well, I'll take a look at the replays this evening and update the scoreboard. But according the leading time - watch the winning replay after this track is ready raced and then you'll learn (I do learn from each replay, how unbelievable fast and short-cutting one can drive through the tracks).
Oh well, and SuperBrian also sent his first replay, there we go, six pipsqueaks allready at the scoreboard! 8)
Quote from: JTKthere we go, six pipsqueaks allready at the scoreboard! 8)
At least seven pipsqueaks when next update will be made : I sent a replay. ;)
Yep - and there you can see a glorious pipsqueak from France on top of the scores! :)
Quote from: JTKYep - and there you can see a glorious pipsqueak from France on top of the scores! :)
Yeah ! But the hardest part is not to be on top in the middle of the race. The goal is to be on top at the deadline...

I'm agree... ;)
So let's see what happens when maybe CTG, Zak and - with repaired hands - Bonzai Joe enter the contest (I hope they will). 8)
Ah- AbuRaf70 races to second place again - how ambitious will he get this season?
Not very bad new Duplode's autogear time... ;)
Oh damn ! AbuRaf took the lead !
AbuRaf is really an Indy master now : his SDR victory proved it, his Kalpen leading confirm it.
that realy is a very sharp time indeed,
:-X
This is getting interesting, 8 pipsqueaks from 8 countries and fierce battling ahead. 52'05'' is very tight already... now let's wait Mark beat my time and join in the fun! ;)

Well, you have only to wait next Kalpen's update... ;)
Yep - Mark cracked the 0:50:00! :o
:o
uberfast
- 50"
:P
...and old AbuRaf was even faster! :)
Well, we have "found" definitely a new great Indy pipsqueak: well done AbuRaf70! :)
Anyway when JTK will check again his mailbox, first line of the scoreboard will change again... and maybe this time for a more long period... ;)
But only when you do not send a replay for last year's contest track ctr2006e... :-\ :)
*newbie realization no. 1*: Shortcuts need not to destroy a track, they can simply recreate it!
Also, if Mark is really up to cut down significantly from 48'90'' :o that early, we do need to pursue efforts on making he not look as fast as he actually is on the scoreboard! :P

I have sent you the right replay yesterday morning... ;) Anyway, it's not my guilt if Kalpen's tracks have not very different names... :D
Alright, today is moving day! I already installed all e-mail-adresses, so maybe some e-mails have gone lost since yesterday - please re-send your replays when you sent them yesterday! The page will be up again this evening (I cannot do this from work, of course :)). Tomorrow morning everything will be fine, again. 8)
DONE! Everything should be fine and updated now! 8)

Up and running! Uh, just a tiny detail - JTK, could you please switch the transmission type of my last entry on the scoreboard to manual?
Quote from: DuplodeUh, just a tiny detail - JTK, could you please switch the transmission type of my last entry on the scoreboard to manual?
I prefer that. I was wondering how you managed to be that fast with auto gears. :o
mine too please ;D
@ Boussini + Dupolde: Sorry, changed!
Please welcome another very new pipsqueak coming from Australia, who just entered the Vintage Stunts Racing Competition: Lukey07! 8)
Kalpen comp manage to bring new pipsqueaks, that's cool.
I don't know how you manage to always be on first page of Google results about word "stunts" while other Stunts websites are far far away in Google classification.
If you have a "secret", tell it to Zak in order to have the Stunts portal in the top 10 results too.

There is no secret - kalpen.de was hosted by a friend of mine and he once tested a deep search engine submission tool for no costs with my domian (which not only makes me having good results but also means spam, spam, spam in my e-mail inbox...).

42 seconds...? I think you are wrong...
Anyway, there are still 20 days to deadline... so you can find a bit of patience and demonstrate your affirmation... ;)

There's a new and good spam filter at my new provider's.
BTW Jacky, Zak, CTG, where are your replays? Yet another newbie entered the contest! :)
Where? In my Stunts directory (unfinished). I'll send it in as soon as I break the 45 seconds limit.
Hello to the pair of Australian newcomers - and please note, one of them is a brave BB1.0/CC0.9 pipsqueak! Congratulations to Boussini as well for completing the switch to manuals...
Quote from: CTGOh I have no patience to powergear... Track can be done in 42 seconds.
:o good time to start our bets, right? Seems we have a movemented week already...
thx duplode , but i'm still miles away from the 1'00" mark
powergear can be mnaged from the firts jump but i'm not skilled enough to pull it off ;D
any tips welcome though, ;)

Quote from: BonzaiJoeIt's very unlikely that I'm going to race. I wish I could though...
Still some prblems with your hands ? :-\
Or alcohol problems. :P ;D
No, it's the arms... ZCT72 was hard on them, and part of the reason for it all.
:-[ :'(
It's really a pity you couldn't race, I'm talking seriously. :-\
I hope there will be a chance for you even in this first race. And I hope you will be able to do your best. Above all for you. And secondly... well, I'm really motivated to succeed you for the final title in Kalpen... but without you it wouldn't be the same thing... ;)

What happened to your amrs BJ?
Thank you Mark L.! Chulk: I got something like car pool tunnel syndrome in both arms, and it's still not quite over. These days are the first time I'm typing again after 3 months...

BJ ist talking about the
carpal tunnel syndrom, which really hurts (I had it once, too, and couldn't type for three weeks...).
What syndrom you're asking? Take a look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpal_tunnel_syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpal_tunnel_syndrome)
Haha, car pool is just a mishearing gone into some sort of slang... Funny. I didn't think it made sense either, thanks for clarifying, JTK.
Crashing with your Indy into someone's pool, that's the very well known car pool syndrom. ;) Anyway: Get well soon and train your nerves by racing lightely. Maybe you'll invent another racing style?
CTS is almost CTG. But Bonzai Joe is back! ;D

I think his illness is a late side effect of our arm wrestling match at WSM 2004. ;D
Nice pics, Krys, hopefully not of your own cars... :D

Three days to the finish...: no one is trying to take the lead? :D
OK, this wants only be a reminder of deadline... ;)
Yes, no replay from Zak nor Jacky nor CTG... :-X
Tonight is Pop Idol evening for my wife. So it will be racing day for me. So, expect a replay. ;)
Replay sent yesterday evening. Will there be scoreboard updates until deadline JTK ?
Congrats to Mark for another Kalpen victory. I'm happy for reaching 2nd place. And nice podium for AbuRaf.
Website update is not completely done yet, replays are still those of last 2006 track...
I spent a lot of time trying to do the bloody 180? powergear turn without penalty (due to not passing throught icy section). I had a buggy replay with the car making a 540? turn and going in the air to the finish line, but sadly it crashed on the last elevated road. And trying small moves left or right make the car react completely different... Damn, I can't wait to see Mark's replay !
Did anyone managed to avoid the dirt left corner and keep powergear without penalty or falling into the water at the section after cork/loop/cork/tunnel ?
I couldn't do the icy part with power gear so I didn't send any replays, but I raced so expect some replays from me next time!
Quote from: ChulkI couldn't do the icy part with power gear so I didn't send any replays
Bad excuse : it seems only Mark did. Was he the only one to send a replay ? ;D

I attempted a lot, trying to jump to the left on the hill but I didn't succeed to manage it... anyway... that dirt left corner is the only tract of the race I did without powergear... ;)
Btw, as I said some days ago talking with CTG, winning time is not resulted 42"... :D ;)
B?ff, grats to the podiumers! Too bad I didn't find time to race the last days, a podium would not have been unrealistic. 8)
Well, congrats to Mark for his KILLER time, and to Krys and Abu as well! As for me, I'm very flattered with my position... Eagerly waiting for Mark's replay, and for CTG's comments ;).

About CTG's comments, I just saw he commented other topics but not this one, so... But maybe he's waiting the replays... ;)
My comments? Why? I haven't raced on the track - I was just bluffing! ;D
Whow, whow, whow, what a race! 5 new pipsqueaks, Diesel Joe is back and finally a (very bad) sign of life from KHR - and nobody even scratched at Mark's marvellous time! Here are the best three times 1/5:
1. Mark L. Rivers 0:39:50
2. Krys TOFF 0:46:50
3. AbuRaf70 0:48:50
ctr2007b will be published soon! 8)
