Title: ZCT 150 - Doupe
Post by: zaqrack on January 04, 2014, 11:35:36 PM
Maybe a bit too hard for a January track but since we don't really have newbies anymore, I don't think it is an issue :)

Based on the name, Duplode should win it.

Btw 150th race is another nice anniversary. It would be great to persuade some big names to come back (Alain, Ayrton, Gutix, Roy, etc.), at least for this track.

Hmmmm... Quite a good track! The guest designer of February will have a hard time to produce the same quality.

Well, today I downloaded the track. Considering to my occassional participation in the past years, I am not sure that I will race this season, at least not for the overall best position. But this track is a good one - or it seems to be a good one after first try.

Last night I came back to home early so I turned on the pc but I had no internet conection. Its translation is I played Stunts and I found this track excelent. I didn't use checkpoint system yet, so I think this 5 days warm up for Renato is a slower time in two weeks for me. From now I need checkpoints if I want to reach Renato's time. This tells me something: Renato's time isn't a hard one and I probably can do it faster but... but will come his reply... and it will hurt :D

1, Biker's current time is a good one, but not a winning replay.
2, No, you can't beat it.
3, But I can.

ON topic: Rotoi should give a challenge to the biker.

This is the 28th day of the month. It's time to say THE SENTENCE: this is my final result, I won't improve. ;D

Unexpected podium from me. It's the first time I'm there without any checkpoint system. I didn't improve my performance so it implies you were too lazy :D

Maybe. I haven't had a finished lap until Friday afternoon. And I started driving with replay handling only on Thursday afternoon.

After a quick analysis of 3rd-6th replays, I could conclude that

- Rotoi and SB managed to drive the tricky parts faster than Chulk and me
- I was suffering with a wrong trick at tricky section 1 (tunnel, hill, banked road), which cost me the 3rd place
- Chulk and me started faster, while Rotoi and SB was slow at the beginning (couldn't do faster or didn't notice the importance of the long speedy section after cork)
- especially Rotoi did fantastic tricks
- I managed to reach the highest speed in the middle after banked road (despite wrong trick before), others, especially SB was not fast enough
- SB managed to leave tricky section 2 (second hill trick with banked road) very fast which meant him a lot
- Chulk did not find the proper shortcut at the end.

Exactly my thoughts except for the final cut which I knew. I had an unfinished faster replay (about 2s faster than Rotoi's reaching 2nd tricky part) but couldn't complete that part successfully and always lost a lot of speed. It would have been a good result starting the season
