Individual CTG vs Alan Rotoi 12-0 seems a football match between Australia and Samoa :D

CTG vs Argentina 38-0. 2013 wasn't the year of Meganium... :D

And a sad fact: this one was the first ZakStunts season without Bonzai Joe.

Yeah that's a bit sad. I guess I could have made a listfiller at some point. It's not like I spent the entire year doing only important business.

It may happen, but the competition is still on so you can fix it easy :D

2013 wasn't the year of Meganium... :D

Although Biker won the championship, the depressing South American dominance of the last few years disappeared after ZCT 136 (Argentina couldn't win a race since May 2012).

It's a pity that I left only my listfiller on the table @ZCT140... without that, the stats would look much nicer.  :D

I guess everybody had at least a single weak race. Even Biker (ZCT 138) and me (ZCT 148).

Standard deviation of individual rankings is added to pipsqueaks completing at least 3 races.

No, Gagarin was a Soviet astronaut in the early 60s.

A few numbers about replay sending habits...

Number of replays in the last season: 797
Number of days when an active ZakStunts was available: 345 (2.31 replays/day)
Number of days when any replays were sent: 186

Number of replays on each days of the week:

81 - Monday
153 - Tuesday (without the rampage day mentioned below, it's only 92)
99 - Wednesday
125 - Thursday
142 - Friday
99 - Saturday
98 - Sunday

Average number of replays for each days of the months:

8.58 - 1st (track was active only in 3 months)
8.40 - 2nd (5 months)
7.25 - 3rd (8 months)
6.58 - 4th
5.50 - 5th
2.83 - 6th
3.00 - 7th
2.42 - 8th
7.42 - 9th (but with an incredible CTG rampage - 62 replays! - in December; calculating with the "effective" replays: 2.33)
1.75 - 10th
1.83 - 11th
1.75 - 12th
0.33 - 13th
0.42 - 14th
0.50 - 15th
1.17 - 16th
0.25 - 17th
0.58 - 18th
0.50 - 19th
0.25 - 20th
0.00 - 21st (WOW!!!)
0.92 - 22nd
0.50 - 23rd
0.50 - 24th
0.75 - 25th
1.25 - 26th
0.33 - 27th
1.67 - 28th
1.45 - 29th (11 months)
3.27 - 30th (11 months)
14.71 - 31st (7 months)

The different length of the months could be a bit disturbing (28-31 days/track), so the stats were "normalized" as follows: I took the first 14 days and the last 14 days of each races - the rest of the days were handled separately (only 9 days in the whole year, with 7 replays...). So, let's see a little bit different list:

8.58 - Day 1
7.58 - Day 2
3.25 - Day 3
4.75 - Day 4
3.92 - Day 5
8.42 - Day 6 (without December: 3.33)
1.92 - Day 7
0.92 - Day 8
1.25 - Day 9
1.58 - Day 10
1.17 - Day 11
0.92 - Day 12
0.67 - Day 13
0.17 - Day 14
------------------
0.78 - "middle days" (as mentioned above)
------------------
0.83 - Day 14B (=14th day from the back)
0.42 - Day 13B
0.67 - Day 12B
0.00 - Day 11B
0.33 - Day 10B
0.67 - Day 9B
0.33 - Day 8B
0.75 - Day 7B
1.00 - Day 6B
0.75 - Day 5B
0.58 - Day 4B
1.42 - Day 3B
2.58 - Day 2B (first quiet day)
10.42 - Day 1B (second quiet day)

As you can see, only the first 6 days and the quiet days are over the average.

What will we see, if the races are divided into quarters? One quarter is more or less a week, so, for the simplicity I will call them a week. The differences in number of sent replays are shocking:

470 - 1st week (59.0%)
80 - 2nd week (10.0%)
37 - 3rd week (4.6%)
210 - 4th week (26.4%)

Quite a strange pattern...Btw who do you think the most active pipsqueaks were in each periods?

1st week

146 - CTG
76 - Renato Biker
42 - Akoss Poo
40 - dreadnaut
34 - AbuRaf70
24 - Duplode
22 - Alan Rotoi
20 - Friker
19 - ADPunk
17 - Chulk
9 - Zak McKracken
7 - SuperBrian
5 - Mr. P.C.
5 - Usrin
2 - Miro
1 - dstien
1 - JoSi

2nd week

17 - CTG
12 - Renato Biker
12 - Duplode
11 - AbuRaf70
6 - Alan Rotoi

Replay distribution for each week per pipsqueak (sending at least 10 replays, in percent of his own replays):

53.1 - 17.2 - 7.8 - 21.9 - AbuRaf70
90.5 - 4.8 - 0.0 - 4.8 - ADPunk
65.6 - 6.3 - 3.1 - 25.0 - Akoss Poo
57.9 - 15.8 - 15.8 - 10.5 - Alan Rotoi
58.6 - 13.8 - 3.4 - 24.1 - Chulk
60.8 - 7.1 - 1.7 - 30.4 - CTG ("master" of quiet days - probably the only chance versus RBI)
63.5 - 3.2 - 7.9 - 25.4 - dreadnaut
8.3 - 0.0 - 0.0 - 91.7 - dstien (specialist of last minute racing for fun)
44.4 - 22.2 - 7.4 - 22.2 - Duplode
54.1 - 16.2 - 16.2 - 13.5 - Friker
20.0 - 10.0 - 0.0 - 70.0 - Miro
78.4 - 12.4 - 2.1 - 7.2 - Renato Biker (typical pattern: killer shots in the first days, lazy ending... quite a simple strategy, it's way to easy to fight against that - but only if you are fast enough to catch those incredible early replays)
31.8 - 0.0 - 0.0 - 68.2 - SuperBrian
35.7 - 7.1 - 0.0 - 57.1 - Usrin
60.0 - 6.7 - 6.7 - 26.7 - Zak McKracken

One more thing about pipsqueaks: which day of the week is their "Stunts day" (starting with Monday)?

AbuRaf70
6 - 11 - 12 - 10 - 7 - 8 - 10; quite a balanced one, but still: Wednesday

ADPunk
2 - 0 - 3 - 5 - 5 - 3 - 3; Thursday/Friday

Akoss Poo
1 - 12 - 15 - 20 - 9 - 5 - 2; what a nice distribution!; Thursday

Alan Rotoi
6 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 11 - 4 - 8; Friday

Chulk
2 - 4 - 6 - 4 - 6 - 5 - 2; Wednesday/Friday

CTG
35 - 74 - 27 - 23 - 39 - 24 - 18; it seems to be Tuesday, but without 9th December, Tuesdays are far the weakest (only 13!), so it's clearly Friday

dreadnaut
4 - 8 - 6 - 15 - 16 - 7 - 7; Friday

dstien
2 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 3 - 1 - 3; Friday/Sunday

Duplode
3 - 9 - 4 - 6 - 9 - 7 - 16; outstanding Sunday

Friker
2 - 2 - 6 - 6 - 2 - 10 - 9; weekend flea, Saturday

Miro
0 - 0 - 3 - 2 - 2 - 1 - 2; Wednesday

Renato Biker
3 - 21 - 6 - 23 - 21 - 15 - 8; somebody hates Mondays... favorite one: Thursday

SuperBrian
0 - 4 - 2 - 4 - 7 - 1 - 4; another anti-Mondayist; Friday

Usrin
4 - 1 - 3 - 3 - 1 - 1 - 1; the only pure Mondayist

Zak McKracken
4 - 1 - 0 - 0 - 2 - 4 - 4; Saturday/Sunday/Monday

And last but not least, the visual time scale of replay sending activity during an average race in ZakStunts...

Wow very nice work!

So I race when nobody does. I lead the 3rd week. :o

Very nice!

Makes me think we would need two-weeks long races.  8) ::)

Not a bad idea. A 6 month championship or 24 races per year championship?

Half year championship
PRO
- Tight results
- Easier for lazy pipsqueaks
- Easier for not top pipsqueaks
- Good system for few number of pipsqueaks like now

CONS
- No room for error or missing a race (it may be a pro too)
- No ultra super duper replays because the lack of time (btw it's about years it doesn't happen)

I support this idea!

Check Biker's stats. He can do it even in a one-week race.

Btw I also like the idea of shorter races - however, it would need a double effort from the competition management. It sounds quite impossible, since Zak has a family and an exhausting job.

I am all in for a somewhat bigger change and like 2-week long tracks.

I am moving back to Hungary end of this year, so will have a bit more time. With a bit of extra automation implemented (e.g. auto-downloading and renaming replays according to final scoreboard and automatically calculating new car coefficients) the time for a site update could be reduced significantly from 1 hours to approx 15 minutes. Dreadnaut could surely help with this.

There would be only one constraint: competition tracks. I am unable to come up with 24 (or even 12  :P) tracks per year. Either we would repeat track twice a year - remember we have car coefficients, so it would be a vastly different race even on the same track. Or we can have reverse-driven tracks and of course more guest designers.

That would be a solution. Reverse tracks with different car coefficients, guest tracks, retro tracks, reverse retro tracks, tracks from other competitions, reverse tracks from other competitions.

No repeated tracks, please! Give some more work to guest designers - I guess many of us have plenty stock tracks in the pocket.
