To sort on:
creator,
date of creation,
car brand,
car type [ normal | sport | race | super ] car.
And pictures

That table does need some extra structure to make it easier to navigate. I'll look into it when I get to clean up the code that generates the site.
As for multiple versions, I feel that might end up being a bit confusing. In general, I'm more inclined to defer to what the creators believe the final (or current) version of the car should be. That said, keeping track of the different versions sounds like a good idea, ideally by recording hashes of each version's files somewhere.

If you create such system, please share it with CAS. If he wants to include it in the sle/game it's a good thing to use the same. Makes synchronization easier..

Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 3 "Viola" is arrived, but upload it as a standalone car, so don't replace the Evo 2 like Ryoma did
There's also a Lamborghini LM002 revamp, which is tuned to be faster than the vanilla car, and uses car0 instead of car1

In addition to a few more of Ryoma's new cars, in the latest update I have uploaded four of the old-school cheat cars (Coronet Pulsar, the old Knight Rider, Niva and Skoda), which over the last several years hadn't been available as single car downloads.

Actually, I made a circuit of 16 tiles in order to measure the 1000m accélération, 0-60mph and brake from 60mph.
For the brake, I measure the distance between 2 trees and for the accélération, I used the replay chrono.
I play on the parameter of weight..for example, the 328 is too light. I will show the results when finish before update the RES.

Be careful when playing with the car weight, as you might end up e.g. accidentally giving your car power gear (http://wiki.stunts.hu/index.php?title=Power_gear_bug). Besides that, all weight does is affecting acceleration, so if the value you had in mind can't be used due to wrong power gear characteristics you can always pick a slightly higher or lower value and adjust the torque curve proportionally.
Interesting page. But except the 328 (and I have to investigate more), the values of the the weight will be modify by one or two points.
I will make some changes on the Bugatti.: I tried to put a line to make a difference with the side glass (one part is opened the other not). But it does not work. So I will remove these line and play on the color.

Probably not; I didn't actually manage to do further work on it yet. I guess I'll change tack and begin with the RES, as that might be a more effective way to push me towards the line.

I'm declaring bankruptcy of the Southern Cross car collection in its current form. Not just I have been failing to keep track of new and updated cars, even if I managed to keep track a list of 100+ cars with no categorisation, sorting or searching would be quite unusable. As a stopgap measure, I plan to replace most individual download links to zip files of car packs, so I can quickly make it sure all cars are available in their current versions. I will also begin work on redoing the whole Southern Cross site, as the current code for generating it is nearly unmaintainable, and in the process I will figure out a more usable way to make individual car downloads available.

Packs of Max 15 cars or so.
We could start with creator packs.
And one with older creations combined.
Ryoma's collection would have to be split into pieces.
Just Ferrari would be 3 packs..
I was planning to create an webshop for cars. So you can browse and filter and create your own carpack.
But I lack the time, skill and place to do so.

Yup, something along these lines, though initially I'll likely not impose a size limit, so that I can make everything available as quickly as possible. To begin with, I'm thinking of a Ryoma pack (essentially the full Mega zip, plus some explanatory notes), a smaller pack with the cars from my testing thread (redundancy is probably okay for the moment), a pack with all custom cars ever used at ZakStunts, and a few individual downloads for cars that fit none of the categories.

It didn't advance much since all those months ago. I have been procrastinating this one for long enough, and also it would be a waste to leave a perfectly good Ryoma dashboard unused... so this month, once and for all, hopefully :)
