Is the teamwork "working" these days? I mean, do the teams exchange the replays or discuss about shortcuts, tricks, etc?

Well, I say. Join a team and find out 8)
I can only talk about last year (not the current season), and I would say "yes" -- but a lot depends on your team mates.
But there's been fewer end-of-race surprises compared to, for example, 2012-2015. I can't think of a recent race where a whole team landed a podium with a different, unexpected car.
I do plan to get back on a team next year!
