This is my new site all-about stunts and COMPETITION!

The site it's in spanish because its main focused is to the spanish parlant people from the different abandonware communities. It's a very amateur competition but there is a space for the stunts community itself!
The season stars the 1st of August and there will be a monthly track until the end of the year when the season is over. Then 5 tracks for the season 2003.
The site is under construction until 1st of August but you can take a look and download August track in "Circuito del Mes" (Month's circuit). Its name is "Melee".
Also you can visit the "Trucos" (tricks) section. If you'll find it very interesting ;)
I hope from this project to make bigger the stunts community and maybe catch some regular pipsqueaks. :)

Very GOOD news!!! Second day of competition and I already have 7 new pipsqueaks! and one is from BOLIVIA!!! I can't believe it. I already see the counter and it says 466 visits. :shock: :shock: :D

Actually I updated it but I didn't uploaded. Because I did the last update in two parts and the second wasn't uploaded. It's only Countries points and Phatt Scoreboard.

Liga de Stunts 2005 season probably won't be opened. It is because La cueva de los Cl?sicos (abandonware web) is closed and we doesn't know when it will be reopened. I need "la cueva" to advertise 4dsL without this advertising it won't have the same success as before. So the start will be delayed. Sorry.

I should tell you something shocking: CTG is a ghost. I know he appears on the Cemetery Hill of B?csa at midnight when there's a Full Moon (or sometimes at New Moon, like in this month). Before disappearing in the morning twilight he makes a good replay, and gives it to Varga Peti, who lives nearby, and likes sending stupid comments to the forums and producing shitty replays (for having something to post before getting the ghosts' replay).

I guess there were much more ghosts than we would think. I have a strong fear that it's so simple to run a ghost here, and there were so many pipsqueaks who we had no info about.

When looking for a team name (before choosing Damage Inc.) CrashTest Dummies was a suggestion I made if my memory is right. this was when my avatar was a crashtest dummy guy. :-D

CTG didn't like it. I suggested Damage Inc. and CrashTest Dummies and CTG prefered Damage Inc.
And "Damage Inc." was both a remembrance of our 2 previous teams for CTG and I : Unskilled Drivers for CTG, Orion for me.

What do you think about another 4dsl season? I'm thinking about an A4dsl "Advanced 4d/stunts League". Because 4dsl always was a beginners competition with very easy and fast tracks for indy. This time would be focus the pro racing.

Don't do it a competition fro pros. You had success with easy tracks and novice drivers. Is your site dead? Won't we see the same old design of it?
You are right! But look, I have no time to watch 100+ replays per month + dayly update... it's a very hard work. I only want to make a small competition with friends. Being only one competition (zak's) maybe I can reopen 4dsl for the last 6 months of 2009.

I took Stunts Oracle site and changed for competition. This is a very very easy design, I don't want anything hard to do :D If you don't like it, I'll change it :)

Jaja, so you did get my mails! :D I had no motivation to join the community or pursue the issue further back then, but I always wondered why I never made it to the scoreboards - at least now I know I was officially DQF'ed :D

4dsl tracks were built in a big terrain as you can see in the image the first 6 tracks. All the tracks were consecutives and were conected by the terrain.
I'll keep this landscape in 4dsl 2009. Every new track will "unshade" a new piece of the big terrain.

Trucos
¿Necesitás algún consejo? o ¿Pensás que tus tiempos son insuperables? De cualquiera de las dos formas te va a servir leer este apartado de trucos, soluciones y secretos para incrementar tu habilidad de manejo y mejorar tus tiempos. Existe información valiosa en los siguientes párrafos, que después de leerla, ni tus amigos ni Skid Visious se volverán reir de vos. Para la traducción de los nombres de los objetos u obstáculos (cosa que creo que no va a ser necesaria) fijate en la sección "Constuyendo Pistas".
Dividamos los trucos en tres tipos: Básicos, Avanzados y Expertizados.
1. Básicos
RH - Manejo de Replay: Si ves que no puedes mejorar mas tu replay te va a servir el siguiente consejo: Es legal en esta competición cuando estás haciendo un replay y por ejemplo ves que doblaste mal una curva o te despistaste, en vez de empezar el replay de nuevo puedes volver atrás (apretando ESC) para volver a hacer esa curva. Es legal por un simple motivo: el organizador no puede dar certeza si este sistema fue usado o no.
Es bastante útil a la hora de piruetas difíciles y salir vivo de ellas, y para cuando haces todo un replay excelente, sin errores y estás por llegar a la meta y te estrellas. Ese final es posiblecambiarlo y llegar a salvo a la meta. A esto se lo llama Replay Handling o Manejo de Replay. Llamemoslo por su sigla: RH.
- Slalom: Fácilmente podés cruzar los bloques de cemento sin tener que desacelerar o sortearlos. Sólo tenés que posicionar el auto justo en el medio del camino y vas a poder pasar entre ellos, el auto no los tocará.
- Corkscrew right/left: No es necesario dar toda la vuelta para poder pasar este obstáculo. Con solo subir un poco la rampa hacia la derecha y seguir derecho podremos pasar sin estrellarnos.
- Curvas: Para doblar correctamente una curva tenés que evitar que las ruedas del auto patinen o "derrapen" y lo mas cerrado posible. Esto te va a hacer ganar una pequeña fracción de segundo en cada curva.
- Alta Velocidad: Uno de los trucos más importantes y escenciales es el de Alta Velocidad o mejor conocido como Power Gear, Turbo Gear o 6th Gear. Consiste simplemente en llegar a cierta velocidad (160-180 mph) mientras uno está subiendo una rampa o puente y al hacer el cambio a la 5th velocidad el auto acelera rápidamente hasta la máxima velocidad posible (245 mph). Y lo mas bueno de ésto es que aunque dejes el camino y empieces a correr sobre el pasto el coche no perderá su velocidad, siempre y cuando mantengas el "pie" en el acelerador. Desafortunadamente (o no) no todos los autos tienen esta habilidad. Sólo el Porsche/March INDY, Acura NSX (toma una velocidad de alrededor de 200mph), Ferrari GTO, Corvette ZR1 y me han dicho que también el Audi Quattro pro. Con el INDY es muy fácil hacer este truco, pero con los otros va a demandar un poco más de trabajo. También funciona al subir una colina sobre el camino o el pasto, adentro del caño o pipe, en el rulo o loop, en el corkscrew right/left, en el camino inclinado o banked road y en el boulevard o highway.
- Loop: Con el Porsche/March INDY uno puede alcanzar Power Gear sin importar a la velocidad que se va. El único requisito es estar en la quinta velocidad.
- Banked road: A toda pequeña elevación de terreno es posible aprovecharla para dar saltos y que el auto incremente su velocidad en el aire.
2. Avanzados
- Highway: Se puede incrementar la velocidad utilizando las esquinas del bulevar. El prosedimiento es que se tiene que subir al bulevar solo la mitad del auto haciendo un pequeño salto y aumentando asi la velocidad. También se puede hacer desde el centro del bulevar, pero este es un poco mas complicado. Inclusive es posible alcanzar power gear con este truco.
- Doblar en el aire: Un truco importantísimo y no tan difícil como parece. Como sabrán si andando en una recta doblamos bruscamente hacia un costado el auto va a patinar, hacer trompos, salir de la pista y todas esas cosas que odiamos. Bueno acá vamos a tomar esto como ventaja. La idea es hacer lo mismo que antes a velocidad conciderable pero en una rampa. Vas a ver que el auto va a empeza a hacer la patinada habitual, pero al salir de la rampa en el aire se va a comportar de la misma manera. El auto va a seguir doblando por inercia y ésto puede ser aprovechado para hacer atajos, sortear objetos o simplemente doblar mas rápido una curva elevada. También sirve para cuando uno baja de un terreno elevado.
- Loop II: Otra vez acá, ahora para decir que si estás cansado de hacer toda la vuelta o de sortearlo llendo por un costado, no vas a necesitar hacer mas esto. Haciendo el truco de doblar en el aire que nombramos anteriormente en el comienzo del loop y hacia un costado, el auto caerá automaticamente sobre la pista ahorrando tiempo al sortear el loop y ganando velocidad por el salto.
3. Expertizados
- Loop III: La mejor forma de pasar un loop cuando se tiene un poco de velocidad es la de directamente traspasarlo. Anted de llegar al loop se tiene que doblar un poco a la derecha como llendonos a estrellar contra la rampa de bajada. Ayudado por una pequeña aminoración de velocidad se podrá traspasar y seguir camino adelante. Demanda mucho trabajo.
- Alfombra voladora: Conocido tambien como "Magic Carpet", este es uno de mis trucos favoritos. Algunas veces despues de un salto el auto vuelve a dar un salto como de la nada. Lo mas probable es que sea un error de código de los programadores, pero podemos aprovecharnos de él provocándolo. Realmente no estudié como provocarlo, pero lo he utilizado en varias ocaciones despues de un salto viene un salto extra y te puede servir para saltar tramos de agua o algun objeto.
- Traspasar objetos: Fácilmente podemos traspasar objetos como por ejemplo el Corkcrew up/down entre cada chapa en la curva existe una pequeña avertura donde puede pasar el auto a una velocidad maxima de 65 mph, mas de eso haria estrellar el auto. Pero puede llegar a servir para tomar algun atajo oportuno. Tambien se pueden traspasar las uniones entre objetos como una curva elevada y una recta elevada, el tunel (jamás le encontré alguna utilidad), y en todos las convinaciones de elementos elevados. Tambien se puede traspasar el corkscrew right/left en los costados.
- Banked road II: Cuando estamos en una recta en un banked road podemos incrementar la velocidad rápidamente dando pequeños saltos provocados. La idea es simple, manejar muy cerca del borde mas elevado y cuando apena se inclina hacia afuera doblar hacia adentro del banked road. Esto hará que el auto de un pequeño salto y aumente su velocidad. Muy útil.
That's where I learned the banked road edge trick :-)
