Cybertruck is actually SLOWER than LM002, even the "triple engine" version. Edit: new specs on wikipedia, TriMotor AWD can reach 130 mph.

Oh, that's boring :(   Or better, the LM002 was ridicolous! :D

I want to see Tesla Cybertruck in Stunts. Easy to create in Stressed... ;D

Indeed it would be interesting, I'm imagining a much faster LM002, but with terrible cornering. And maybe no gears?

Can engine sounds be customised? Could we get an odd and low electric motor whine?

Chat - Misc / [spam!] Ork Manager
November 14, 2019, 09:14:21 PM
A friend of mine has been working on an online managerial game. Sort of fantasy football, but with odd monsters, and extra strategic layer which lets players barter, design weapons, use team supporters to conquer cities, and...

It's a large thing, and he has started a Kickstarter to make it a full time project, and hire someone who is not color-blind to improve the design :P

If you are interested, or know someone who might be, have a look and spam around!

Oh, that's very interesting. It's the same system that evolved to become the transmission used in small scooters.

Yes - it will be opened for traffic at the end of December. The air was super clean, quite humid and a bit warmer (12 degrees) than outside. Like in a natural cave. With the absolute lack of wind, it felt warmer than ideal for running, even wearing only T-shirts and shorts.

Uhm, I've been in a few caves and I wouldn't enjoy running there. Moreover, running in an underwater tunnel means it's all downhill at the beginning, and all uphill at the end :P

Accomplished. The new record is actually -292 m, I rather trust the organisers of the race than Wikipedia.

That's very cool! Was that before the opening to traffic? How's the air down there?

I drove through the tunnel to Magerøya, in Finnmark, so I suppose my low altitude record is -212m. Max altitude should be ~3400m on the Jungfrau, CH.

Racing Games & Other Competitions / Re: SI6IL
September 24, 2019, 10:50:59 PM
I got everything installed and ready to play si6il, and then actually started with the original episodes :-)  I'm a third through the first one now, and I don't think I've ever played the fourth one!

I also had a lot of fun with Duke Nukem, because the Build editor was so easy to use—easier and more stable than the ones I had for Doom. But over time, from a single-player point of view, I think Quake is the better game, followed by Doom and then Duke Nukem (last, in part because of the humor).

Even multiplayer became less user-driven: with old games you were usually able to create a server, or join one, which was not under the direct control of any company. Now, several games allows the player only to connect to an official server, removing the chance of personalizing the gameplay.

And then the official and single server is turned off, and goodbye game.

For an interesting take on the issue: https://locusmag.com/2019/09/cory-doctorow-drm-broke-its-promise/

Do those NoRH replays (not just the ones I mentioned) still exist anywhere?

Nothing that I can see among the website files. If they were submitted through the website, Zak might still have them in the old mailbox.

I'd really like to register and compete! Do you know what could be causing the errors?

Whops, there were two issues with numbers in the username, and with password length.
Thank you for finding them :P

You should be able to sign up with your favourite username and password now!

Happy day-after-your-birthday Cas! ;D
