Stunts Questions / IQ
November 07, 2002, 07:05:13 PM
Well some clever people said that I have 152, so I can join the Hungarian MENSA club (that's a club for people, who have an IQ greater than 150, and this is the world's 2%).
Maybe I will, but I really dislike swaggering with this, so just handle it as another interesting fact. :)

So Cork's Crew's average IQ is now 155. :)
I hope our average speed will be greater somehow. :)))

Chat - Misc / my name
November 07, 2002, 07:01:17 PM
OK, well you asked for it...

so. I was 13 years old, and in the school we started to make small gropus as usual in that age. We formed a "family" with some friends, it was the Mustafa family. And it was a habit to give ourselves loooong names.
Mine was:

Mustafa Fitoska Tivadar B?lajos?d?nguszt?vazul?szl?luk?csongortaksony

why this one?
guess you know why Mustafa.
Fitoska because when we learned pascal on comp.programming lesson, everyone had a file noname00.pas, but mine was fitoska.pas, so it stuck on me. :)
Tivadar is my chosen favourite name.
And the long one is the putting together of 9 not so common, funny-sounding Hungarian names: B?la, Lajos, ?d?n, Guszt?v, Vazul, Ul?szl?, Luk?cs, Csongor, Taksony.

So, and we were in quite a revolutionary age, so we did some small graffittis in the school & publis transport. So I needed a tag, which was MFT from Mustafa Fitoska Tivadar.

That's how MFT was born. I used it for some years, in computr games, from 1997 on fidonet and shadownet (you may not know these, they were old BBS and remote-based mailing networks, when Internet wasn't so well-known yet, and then I used it from 1998 on the net too.
In 1999 I had enough of it, because it was too short, and we played one day with some friends on IRC, that we took some favourite game character names on us, and spoke as we were them.
When I arrived to Zak McKracken, I just felt that I won't change it anymore. It stayed so, but I also needed a shorter version of it, it was
ZakKrack first, but then I changed to Zaqrack, which is pronounced almost the same, but sounds also more unique.

Now here we are. :)

Competition 2003 / 5 pipsqueaks pro league
November 06, 2002, 10:31:55 PM
yeah, and then the same problem again, that newcomers have absolutely no chance to promote to pro.

It has to be hard for the pros, but it must give chance for beginners too.
That's why I didn't say a number, and it'll be decided in late december. ;)

General Chat - ZSC / Re: How to get through a wall?
November 02, 2002, 11:02:30 PM
Quote from: "Vlad"Hi,
I have download the zct#18 track and replay. And the 3
replay do the exact same things, going through the wall
on the final curve.
As soon as i touch this wall, my car crash. Do i have to
have a certain speed? Is there a key to press?

Thanks.

Vlad.

Go with 60-70mph MAX, but 40 at least.
Hit the wall where two wall pieces are connecting.
DO NOT steer while in the wall, just go.
If you don't succed for the first time, excercise, you'll succeed.
and check out the "Driving School" to learn more tricks, watch winning replays, analise them, learn to use the manual transmission, and drive, drive, drive.

Soon you'll be between the top drivers this way.
:D

Quote from: "Vlad"Hi,
I have try to unrar both NFS SE and Sega Rally. Both are compress using rar. I've try with WinAce 2.11 and rar 2.50.
None of these two can be extract. I'm receive CRC error for every file within the archive.
Is there another link?

I have try to play stunts, but I don't have the manual. So, I don't know how to disable the car security system.

Thanks.

Hi! You have to use WinRAR 3.0 or higher to decomress these rars.
And start stunts with stunts_k.exe, not any other file.

These will solve everything, have a good time. :)

Competition 2003 / two worst races
October 31, 2002, 05:07:40 PM
Of course only 10 best races count in the pro, and if you miss a month, you're in the amateur.

But pleeeease don't forget that if you change your league, all your previous times change, and so all the other pipsqueak's points change.

Competition 2003 / Wishlist & Application
October 30, 2002, 11:28:19 PM
If it looks now that you won't qualify to the Pro League, but you would like to start the season there (I'm sure there'll be some vacancies (I'm not sure that Argammon, Pershing II, Bismarck will start or not)), then write your request here.
And also it looks that you'll qualify, please confirm here that you do want or don't want to start in the pro league

Now it looks that pro league will consist of the top 10 pipsqueaks, but it can change anytime to 12, if I see that there's enough demand for it (very unlikely, because I'll rather make it smaller than the actual demand, than bigger.).

And don't forget:
Pointsystem is the same as F1-2003 system: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1-0-0
if you get 0 points (if you send no rpl, then you get 0!) then you're relegated to the amateur, and 2 winners from the amateur are coming to the pro. You WON'T lose anything, when changing to the pro from the amateur, but read it in the 2003 rules faq, and if spomething is unclear, ask.

thanx.
Zak

Quote from: "alanrotoi"I totally agree. We need one Zak rules INDY Contest. Maybe 'B' tracks in zak's competition 2003 will be like this or France Stunts Championship.

I give 100% freedom on B track designer(s) next year, that which car they allow/disallow on their tracks.

Quote from: "BonzaiJoe"Why not? There is no data at all in the rpl file that shows whether a break has been done? Oh I see... But it was a nice thought :D

If there would I would have written that program ages ago. :))
