There's one way to avoid naivety: always assume the worst about others.

For me, the only exceptions used to be my favorite MSN chicks - no surprise, I burned myself with them.

I'll take naivety, then :-) bad thoughts about others will just end up becoming self-fulfilling prophecies anyway.
