Tonight Belgian beer trip continues with Corsendonk Pater-Dubbel. ;)

Corsendonk (BEL, 7.5 % alcohol): fine belgian dark beer taste (not very unique but very delicious), only that little plus is missing... Mark: 8.5/10.

Do you take price into the analisys when you give your score?
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)

Never. Most of the great Belgian beers are quite expensive.

Chulk

And which beer has the best price/quality in your opinion? Because I'll rather drink an 8 point beer costing 2 US$ than a 9 points costing over 3 US$...

I agree with Borsodi... But I did taste a 0,5 l 5,5 rating beer for 0.28 EUR in Berlin once...
But we can't be quite sure.

BonzaiJoe

And don't get me started on the beer in Sturovo!!
But we can't be quite sure.

What's Borsodi price/quality? Of course they'll be very expensive to me as Warsteiner (which I consider the best) less than 1 US$ here. So are other well-known beers (like Heineken)

I'm thinking about creating a fair system to rate beers on the price/taste scale. The question is that how much money is worthy for a +1 mark beer?

Some good examples for very worthy beers:

Borsodi (HUN, 4,6 vol. % alcohol) 0,50 Euro 7/10
Soproni (HUN, 4,5%) 0,50 Euro 7/10
Soproni 1895 (HUN, 5,3%) 0,60 Euro 7,5/10
Dreher (HUN, 5,0%) 0,65 Euro 7,5/10
Zlaty Bazant (SVK, 5,0%) 0,60 Euro (in Hungary, the cheaper version cost that value, in Slovakia, the better one, but you have to go to Slovakia for it) 9,5/10 the better one (12% on the Slovakian extract scale) 8 the cheaper one
Pilsner Urquell (CZE, 4,4%) 0,85 Euro 9,5/10
Carlsberg (DEN, 5,0%) 0,80 Euro 9,5/10

and let's not forget about:
S?rk?ny (HUN, ?%) 0,35 Euro 5,5/10 :D :D :D

Most of the tested Belgian specialities are around 2.00-2.50 Euro/0.33 liter. My absolute favorite Hoegaarden Grand Cru is about 1.80 Euro/0.33 liter.

CTG

Best choice: Schlossm?hle 0.12 Euro/0.5 liter (never tasted, it's a legendary crappy liquid)... ;D
