As far as I remember, I've never been really drunken outside Hungary.

Places where my mood was enhanced by alcohol (had more than 1-2 beers):

- Stavanger, NOR
- Charleroi, BEL
- Lisboa, POR
- Ternitz, AUT
- Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár), ROM
- Štúrovo, SVK
- Bratislava, SVK
- Hoštovce (Bódvavendégi), SVK

Last night: 0.5 l Hubertus (something like Jägermeister, just better), knockout.

Recent beer tests:

Erdinger Weißbier (GER, 5.3%) - well, Paulaner and Löwenweisse are better, though they are cheaper, 6/10
Erdinger Dunkel Weißbier (GER, 5.3%) - it rather tastes like a dark beer instead of a wheat beer, 5.5/10
Erdinger Schneeweiße (GER, 5.6%) - more tasty than the basic one, 7.5/10
Rocky Cellar (HUN, 4.0%) - one of the best cheap beers, 5/10

Do you still like it? I tasted Dreher Bak in December, also after a long (ca. 2 years) break. It was a bit disappointing, not as delicious as I remembered... But it has to be tested once more before changing its points.

Btw, newbies from "the world's northernmost brewery" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_northernmost_items#Other):

Mack Nordlys Mørk Pilsner (NOR, 4.5%): 5/10
Mack Pilsner (NOR, 4.5%): 6/10

BÖFF!

Well... it's not as good as it used to be, but still the best Hungarian beer. Belgium is another league.

NEWBIE!!!

Wells Banana Bread Beer (ENG, 5.2% alcohol, 699 HUF/0.5 l): surpringly good light beer from the UK, with detectable banana taste in the background. Although I don't want to add fruit tasted beers to the official list, I would give quite a good mark (8.5/10). Testing continues in the evening - probably with worse beers.

CTG

Berg König Premium (AUT, 5.0% alcohol, 189 HUF/0.5 l, Aldi beer): well, well, well... strange one. I can't name any special weak point (no metallic or rotten feeling, no weird backtaste), but the overall taste doesn't really fit me. Fair enough to drink it in the summer, but I would not recommend it instead of Borsodi. Mark: 4.5/10.

CTG

McEwans Export (SCO, 4.5% alcohol, 749 HUF/0.5 l): the sweet nothing. Beerish taste without power, turning into sweet after swallowing. Not a bad one, but really... is it worth to buy such an ale for ~2.50 Euros? NO! Mark: 5.5/10.

* CTG is drinking Borsodi at the moment.  ;D

Well, due to very favorable prices in the Spar supermarkets (and due to the fact that there are no more Iron Maiden concert tickets available, and I don't have one), I decided to try some special Belgian beers.

Three bottles are in front of me:

Corsendonk (BEL, 559 HUF/0.33 l, alc. 7.5%, extr. 15.4%)
Kasteel Rouge (BEL, 559 HUF/0.33l, alc. 8.0%, extr. % no data)
Duvel (BEL, 559 HUN/0.33l, alc. 8.5%, extr. % no data)

Well, after buying a shitty Puntigamer in the Ötschergräben, Austria last October for 3.40 EUR, these prices sound really good.

Nice choices! Kasteel Rouge is probably the best fruity beer I've ever tasted.
