And it would still be a strange table where it matters if you were number 3 or 4, but doesn't matter at all if you were number 4 or 76
But we can't be quite sure.

Argammon

Does the original table solve those problems?

So I wonder why you and Alan jump on my small tiny table suggestion while not commenting the original table, but never mind.

It was just a small suggestion for an alternative table and I don't really care to much about it.

But it kinda reminds me of the old point system "discussion".......

Mislav

BJ, what is P1 track, yes I didn't know that one. Sorry Roy:)

And about alain, I don't read any of his comment for a long time now :) so nevermind

BonzaiJoe

Argammon: I don't care the least about these tables, make them whichever way you like. We have season's standings already, these are just other scoring methods.

Mislav: P1, P2 and P3 were bonus tracks in the summer of 2002. In the overall standings they counted as 1 race altogether, but of course all three were races. Roy won P1, Mingva won P2 (Skoda track) and Usrin won P3. P3 was a really special race, where you had to use auto transmission, and had to drive 3 laps. I think tracks and replays must be available somewhere.
But we can't be quite sure.

Sorry I didn't explain. I was speaking about akoss' table.

They are at 2002 section of ZakStunts, click on the 2002 year at the top of ZakStunts page, just above the banner Mislav.

Is someone updating Akoss Table' How old is it? When was the last update made?
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)

CTG

Quote from: "Argammon"I would suggest to use the following system:

First place: 3 points, second place: 2 points third place: 1 point.

The reason is clear :) For example Akoss should not be behind Fdz 2 single wins...

I am to lazy to compute that kind of table....

And maybe someone could add the number of races raced....

Check this:

1   Bonzai Joe   9   11   6   55
2   Alain   8   8   8   48
3   Roy Wiegerinck   11   2   0   37

Last column means the points. I also have it in F1 pointsystem but please check it rather at my site... :)

Mislav

CTG, I agree with your last medal table, in my opinion that should be the official "ZakStunts Hall of fame" scoreboard!

vamologocomisso

well, if this is a racing competition, I think the system CTG said (with f1 system points) should be the correct, because if you consider a competition like olympics, only gold medals count (1 gold better than 99 silver), then silver, then bronze...
n?o me sinto inspirado para escrever nada de impacto, para que todos digam: "Puxa! Que demais!  :)

BonzaiJoe

So this means that on the whole, Fdzierva is a better driver and more important and historical Zakstunts pipsqueak than Akoss Poo? No...

3-2-1 is a great system. I even think they used that once in the olympics too. Of course this is just a medal table, so it is not supposed to be representative of anything really, so I don't think it's much to use to argue about the scoring system. We can argue about the scoring system for Zakstunts, but a medal table is a medal table, based on the traditional rule that the first 3 pipsqueaks get medals. (maybe because that was all that could be afforded back in the day)
But we can't be quite sure.

Argammon

Yes you are right, the original medal table worked gold:3 silver:2 bronze:1 point.

The reason they changed it was that usually the Soviets usually had more silver and bronze than the USA while the Yankees had more gold medals.

And somehow they managed to pull the right strings in order to change the system to the stupid one we still have nowadays!
