Nah, I think Denmark will probably win the tournament. We are coming with a strong, underrated team without serious injuries. Besides, Denmark will be playing in Kiel, which is only 60 km from the danish border (and many of the players play in the german league for a living). Almost home advantage.
But we can't be quite sure.

Jacky, I am really sorry - Danish players may be strong but not playing together in their national team. No way. :P

Well the first game was hard - hectcs and lot of whatever made us win against the Brazilians. Good. Not a nice game but a happy ending. :)

It sucked.... I turned on the television for 1 minute and it was 22-18 for Denmark. I thought "oh good, we're going to win", and then it turns out we lost...
But we can't be quite sure.

57 minutes, 46-10 for France versus Australia. This is even worse for Australian guys than versus Iceland. :D

Maybe 12 teams would be enough for the world cup...
But we can't be quite sure.

I'm not so sure : if small teams never have the oportunity to play versus good teams, how will they progress ? ::)

So do I think - it's a great opportunity for not-so-famous-handball-nations to be seen.

Australia 10-47 France ;D
Ukraine 32-29 Iceland :o Surprise of the day !

France is already qualified for next step.
But Iceland, theorically the 2nd of the group before the handball WC started, will probably be eliminated now... Except if they beat France (which will not happen). 8)

Denmark - Hungary 29:30
Hungary - Norway 25:22

Hungary won the group, despite they was only the "third strongest" team when the draw had been made.

Advanced to the next round, we have to face the next opponents (probably): Russia, Croatia, Czech Republic and Spain. Damn, that will be a tough one... I guess we can beat the Czechs, and maybe the Russians, the other two matches will be tricky... The other group is way easier, Slovenia, Poland, Tunisia, Ukraine for the 3rd place... ridiculous... how could they done this?

Ah - Christian Schwarzer will nbe back in the German team today, that means half final at least!

I am very happy to see Denmark agains Norway today, because they need to win to get into the main round. In Kiel half of the Ostsee Hall is filled with Danish spectators, great. I wonder if I can recognize some of the "Borsodis" today...  ;)

Have a nice match JTK. It will be a sharp one like Hungary-Denmark was. Both teams can win.
