I really really like this game, and it deserves a topic here, even if it gets no longer than one post. It isn't abandonware yet, as is it's predecessor, so that's a bummer. The game is, as the title says, about motocrossing. Best are the so called Baja events, in which fast paced racing through canyons goes hand in hand with huge jumps and crazy crashes. Especially the ones involving lots of opponents are nice. Too bad that Baja is the weakest point of the AI, especially if you put the random gates option on, but the nice riding that can be done in woods and canyons make up for it. Want something else? Try a stunts event in which the goal is (duh) to perform stunts, or ride in a nationals or supercross event on a real track, the bots are a lot better at this than they are at the other events.
Anyway: I like it. Maybe not quite as much as stunts, but I still like it.

MCM2 remains one of my favorites too.

Many many tracks have been made by people for it. Sadly, almost none are made now as MXvsATV Unleashed game now focus all track designers attention since one year.

Numerous tracks for MCM2 are available at MCM Factory : http://www.mcmfactory.com (MXvsATV Unleashed tracks are also available there).
Sadly, the site has been hacked some weeks ago and it will take a lot of time to have all the tracks back online. I helped the webmaster last week and uploaded 186 missing tracks I had on CDs. But a lot of job remain to do for the webmaster and I can't help more as I don't have the most recent tracks.
An online upload system is present for those who would like to help (see the "MCM2 fans please read me" sentence on the top of main page. Feel free to upload some of the missing tracks you may have Overdrijf. ;)
If you have a lot of tracks to upload like I had, send a mail to the webmaster in order to have ftp password.

One last thing : MicroSoft stopped the online system of the game as the game is considered too old (and also because almost all pipsqueaks are now racing MXvsATV Unleashed). Do you know a way to play online again with MCM2 Overdrijf ?

Create tracks require specific programs and the knowledge of 3D creation and texture creation too.
It's not as easy as with Stunts, TrackMania or CrashDay.
But numerous people did tracks for MCM2, mostly Americans.

Program to create MCM2 tracks and tutorial videos : http://www.microsoft.com/games/motocross2/ (below the MCM2 demo download).

One last info : creators of MCM1 and 2, Rainbow Studios, are the guys who made MXvsATV Unleashed. But as this game is not published by MicroSoft, MicroSoft support of MCM2 live racing became weak once MXvsATV Unleashed was released. Combined with less pipsqueaks online => online racing MCM2 servers stopped by MicroSoft last year. F*cking Bill Gates ! >:(

Some other good websites for MCM2 :
- http://www.mauicool.org/ : tutorials for tracks creation, tracks to download (a "best of", MCM1 tracks converted to MCM2 and website designer tracks) and also new bikes to download, some other utilities like mods (no stunts for IA pipsqueaks for example, useful to make races harder or to avoid IA pipsqueaks crash on some custom tracks) or bikeswitcher to use custom bikes.
- http://www.twisteddirt.com/ : home of a MCM2 racing team, with their own tracks creation for the game. Now they focus on MXvsATV Unleashed but their MCM2 stuff is still available.
