Krys TOFF

Quote from: CTGOkay let's say our match finishes on 27th July midnight (I'll send you my replay) - and the last 60 hours of the race will be "quiet days". Is it okay for you?
OK, no problem. Else I was thinking of asking a teammate to send you my friday replay only on sunday. ;)

CTG

Oh my God, I forgot to make a track and I'm quite busy now... :( It will be done for the next morning.

CTG

Here is the next week's track, use the Ferrari GTO on it.

Update around 7-8 pm (Hungarian time), I have many private things to do today. Last hours of the race were really exciting...

CTG

Sorry I just came back to the hostel, update will be in an hour. Finish was very spicy... ;)

USL 2007 is over, the official rankings are:

1 Dottore
2 CTG
3 Krys Toff
4 CTG
5 Mark L. Rivers
6 Duplode
7 Chulk
8 AbuRaf 70

My personal opinions about these rankings:

Dottore - stayed undefeated during the whole tournament and won 4 rounds from 7, finished 6 times on the podium, reached far the best summarized time result. He's the undisputed champion of UnskilledStunts events in the last two years.

CTG - more or less good performance, sometimes a bit lazy (like in the last round). With a bit more motivation he would be closer to Dottore in overall.

Krys Toff - one of the big positive surprises of the tournament. He won 4 matches and beated everybody with Countach. His tactics worked fine - it resulted a very nice bronze medal.

CTG - four victories, tight matches and a surprising loss against Duplode at the end. There was more in this tournament for the Hungarian but he couldn't absolve if perfectly - what's more he wasn't very lucky...

Mark L. Rivers - the most popular opponent for the others due to summarized opponent times. He was usually quite fast but couldn't calculate with the strength of his opponents - it caused 4 lost matches, even with his best car, Porsche March Indy. He has the second best cumulative time result but he was very unlucky with the opponent-car combinations. I expected a bit more from him - not in direct performance but in match results.

Duplode - newbie with more and more powerful racing and three nice victories at the end. His evolution was spectacular, we have to count on a great performance from him in other competitions too. Very nice introduction!

Chulk - proclaimed aspirant of league victory in the role of punchbag. Total disappointment, only a single victory against Mark and many weak matches, especially at the end. Negative sensation of the contest.

AbuRaf 70 - enthusiastic racing, quite modest results. He made some good laps and at least he won the last match versus an unmotivated Chulk.

CTG

Of course congratulations to the winner Dottore and to everybody else. Thank you for the participation!

Mark L. Rivers

Congratulations all for their racing and above all Dottore for his great performances.
I just want to say that the contest was quite funny, even if quite grinding having to race hard weekly for 50 days. About the rules, I don't think that Time Difference (sum own - sum opponent) was a good criteria to determine the final rank because time difference is too much affected from different kind of races. In hard tracks it's quite easy build a large gap versus less expert drivers, instead a millisecond race. So I think that, if there's a deuce about sum of points, the only criteria which should be keep in count to determine the final rank should be the result against eachother and the summarized lap times. (Btw, in this way Krys would be 3rd anyway having beated CTG in direct match).
About me, I thought to be able to climb on the podium, even if I thought it would be really hard after I saw since before to begin the opponent-car combination. No Porsche 962 (one of my favourite car, I always obtained very good results with it), Indy against Dottore (really strong with it as he showed in previous races) above all without Powergear, Countach against CTG (a specialist with it), Ferrari GTO against CTG (the worse car for me against a specialist with it).
Anyway, I'm satisfied of my performances. As scoreboard shows, and CTG has underlined, the sum of the time of my opponents is the lowest, while my sum of times is the 2nd behind Dottore. And I think this means something more than my 5th place.

CTG

Bad luck for you... But the most surprising thing was your lost match against Chulk due to his overall performance. My opinion:

1, P962 was left out because one IMSA is enough in 7 rounds (plus Melange).
2, I'm not a GTO specialist.
3, You are wrong, CTG beated Krys - so in your adviced system CTG would be 3rd (I'm going to reconsider this advice for USR 2008)
4, Your cumulated 2nd place is very nice - but guess what happens if I have time to use manual gears versus Krys... ;) (for you: one ranking up in overall, one ranking down in cumulated times)
5, This is a very nice 5th place, with some luck you can win the next tournament.

Duplode

So it's over... good fun in a great tournament, thanks to CTG and to all of my opponents for it's realization and congratulations to Dottore for his utter domination of the contest (his confident use of 3rd gear in Nizza was the cherry on the cake, although I also could learn about proper 1st gear use from Mark's lap...). As for my participation, even though three victories was much better than I would expect, the most positive thing was the learning - every track called my attention to a particular way of improving my times or a unknown car characteristic. Thanks all again!

Just a little additional comment for me, the last one in this topic independently from other replies.
Sorry CTG, but about your reply I'm agree only with the 3rd point... premise included...

CTG

USR will contain a bit different car pack. That's all I can promise.

Chulk

First of all. Congratulations to Doc! He's a worthy champion. Now, I want to apologyse for my results. I know more was expected from me but I was really busy and only raced seriously with Audi Quattro, Countach & Acura. I promise to do my best next time.
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)
