2nd Checkpoint!

Unbelievable standings at CP2!!!  :o :o :o    Three drivers in 0"05 with Duplode and Chulk paired at 1st place and me, 3rd, just 5 centiseconds behind them!!!  :o :o :o   Could we imagine a standings more shocking than this!?  :o ??? :o  Absolutely impossible, above all because this is a NORH race and we are fighting for the title in the last race! But in add to be dazzling, the classification at CP2 means a lot in order to the season! With this result, Duplode and Chulk get both a whole bonus point while I don't get bonus. So the argentinian champion cancels the gap accumulated at CP1 (about bonus point that I got) and he can look to the future with more hope! Chulk's road has been clear traced by now, he has to follow 4 precise steps, 2 for CP3 and 2 for the Finish. Which steps? About next Sunday, Chulk has to reach 2 targets: 1) to lower his current time over 3% (so to catch bonus points) and 2) stay ahead me. In this way, Chulk would get at least 0,5 bonus point more than me, condition needed to rescue the 5,5 points in general classification. If these targets will be reached, Chulk will have other 2 steps to do on the road toward the title for next and last Sunday, that is for the Finish: 1) He must win the race and 2) I mustn't get more than a 3rd place. Even if he can do personally only the first of these last 2 steps, it's clear that the title is not unreachable and not very far. About me, my strategy for CP2 was not good, but anyway not weighty. In fact, even if I reached a lower time, not lower than 3%, the situation would be the same afore described. Anyway I have now a clear aim for CP3: to stay ahead Chulk. If this won't be, I will have a last chance for the finish, that is: to win the race or at least to get a 2nd place. Sure I will aim to close the game next Sunday, but we can't forget that a serious variable overhang on all us and this fantastic final of season, and this variable is named Duplode! And who can say that there won't be other variables as any outsiders? Whatever will be the final result, it will be a wonderful final of a wonderful season, so, stay with us to live the "magic" atmosphere of this great specialty!  :) :) :)

Post it anyway! Now I AM curious! ???

Well, I was sort of confident you would be leading Chulk, despite all the dowplaying by both of you guys...  ;) Nothing like this anyway!  :o Mark's peculiar choice of words, will result good in order of bonus points, now is very clear even if the tactic failed so spetacularly. And now we, as Chulk anticipated, will most likely be crashing for some time against the 1:24 barrier, so I can hope this wonderfully close racing can continue through CP3  8).

Lowering my current time 3% doesn't seem possible so I don't really have a chance to fight for the title (Damn 1st CP!!!). Only chance is
1 - Me
2 - Duplode
3 - Krys (I'll make sure he has a fast replay, even racing it myself... (kidding, Krys can do it with Indy if he tries to)
4 - Mark

But still... this race is by far the best on SDR NoRH history, so having my name in top of it is really motivating!
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)

You are putting a heavy fardel on Krys' shoulders...  :D  (Understand me: not for his skill but for his time to race!)
Even if I hope in a great performance by Krys, I'll "help" him doing my best to avoid that his result will be determinant for the title...  ;)
Even because my main target is sure the title, but I'm not racing for a placement... ;) :)

Well, you're already quite fast guys, it will be hard for me to be in top 3.
I don't have a lot of time to race, sadly.
Anyway, I'll race and, who knows, maybe a good surprise may happen and I may join top 3. But beating Mark with indy, well, THIS will be hard.

It seems you like the track, don't you ? :D

I liked other tracks more but I won them easily kidding ;). The thing with this track is that any of the 3 driver can win and even more exciting, the fact that it's defining the title (Krys and Duplode availing, it will define for me!)

In fact, even if I reached a lower time, not lower than 3%.
Since Mark already said he has a faster replay, what about playing last race with open cards and sending it for CP3? I also have a faster replay, what about you Duplode?
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)

Duplode

Well, at the moment I have a slightly faster replay, nearly a token effort. There is a pretty high probability it will stay like this on CP3... 3% seem quite impossible to me as well, we are very close to the limit.

Well, the fight for the title will finish automatically this Sunday if you, Chulk, won't send a time 3% lower than your previous one. In this way we'll fight only for the win in this race. Instead, if you'll send a time 3% lower than your previous one you will be 1st or 2nd, ahead me, all will be postponed at the last week. In this way, I should publish a time only if I have a time 3% lower than my previous... Mhm... I don't know in this moment if I'll publish a time in this week...  ::)

Chulk

OK, no open card then. It was just a suggestion as I haven't done (but hopefully will) a time 3% lower (that is 1:22.90 at least  :() Nevermind, then.

Next year, there won't be checkpoints and also no "quiet days". Only open cards and pure Stunts noRH racing. ;)

My final time for CP3.... Will it be enough for the title...?  ???  I fear that all will be postponed at last Sunday...  ::)  This it would be an incomparable thriller... but the fear woud increase a lot... and adrenaline too...  8)  Let's see!  :)

3rd Checkpoint!

Chulk and Mark L. Rivers: the season is arrived to its last act and the two great NORH drivers are one more time side by side to fight a fair battle for the final victory!!  :) :) :)  Even if we have to say that it seems I have by now my hands on the title: I and Chulk, in fact, succeeded to improve both over 3% our previous time demonstrating all our engagement, but the argentinian champion didn?t succeed to get more bonus points than me (a whole bonus point for me at CP3, 2 bonus points in total, and half bonus point for Chulk at CP3, 1,5 in total). So Chulk must hope only in a precise final classification of the race to rescue his current gap (6 points, counting the 0,5 bonus points of this race): he must win and I mustn?t get more than a 4th place. And we have to mind that I (like Chulk) didn't miss a podium in all official NORH races, 15 until here.  8)   Really a desperate mission for Chulk. Duplode and Krys have sure the potential to beat me. But did the brazilian find the best line for this race?  ???  Maybe not, seeing the current unusual high gap from the leaders?  ::)   And will the french have enough time so to leave from his current race over 20??  ???  Let?s see. Anyway, we can?t exclude other outsiders. We have a Bonzai Joe (great NORH skill showed in the past) who are exhibiting a wonderful condition in RH race and we can?t forget that another specialist, Zak McKracken, has declared recently that NORH races could be in his aim in this period.  ;)   Maybe it?s better for me not to think to have the title already in the pocket, a very bad surprise could be behind the corner for him?  ::)   So a last dazzling week wait all us who love this great specialty, and maybe also all love the taste of the challenge, so palpable in this great fair battle!!! See you, for the last time, next Sunday!!  :) :) :)

Not sure at all : I'll be away for my job from tuesday afternoon to thursday evening... ::)

Chulk

Congrats Mark, you are the (most likely) champion! I tried to improve my time lots of times but didn't succeed so it doesn't seem probable that I'll win this race, specially minding I'll have very few free time this week. I'll try for sure but I really don't feel like there's even a little chance to fight for the title.
