Uhm... in order to manipulate the wheel from a 3D model editor, you'd need to export it with something special. Stressed and CarWorks don't export wheels to OBJ. Based on the way a wheel is defined in Stunts 3D shapes, it's possible, in theory, to rotate it in any direction you want. That's as far as definitions are concerned. Then comes the rendering. I don't know if Stunts 3D renderer can handle ellipses that are not aligned with the vertical. If it can't, very weird effects would occur.

In my opinion, the easiest way to try this out is to manually change the wheel vertex coordinates and see what happens.

I thought to rotate a loose wheel (placed above a car or so) in an external editor, then load the model back in stressed.
if it doesn't translate well, you can still copy the coordinates,.

#392
Did a quick test.
lost the paint jobs on the model so i quickly put some color on it.

but the wheel renders,
I took the back wheel and rotated it 90 degrees backwards. [edit: should have been forwards]
and placed it on the roof.

so the coordinates are moved, but you can see how they relate to each other,
(stressed had more trouble with the wheel than stunts.)

After editing the original in stressed and adding a wheel to car1, i could really test it.
I don't think i did anything wrong, but the game crashes as soon as the car begins to move.

Or actually the car does.

How odd. I have tried replacing the STLM02.P3S with the 3SH you have attached, and it worked fine here; no crashes. (The flickering of the wheel primitive is a fair bit more noticeable when it is on the top of the car, but I guess there isn't much we can do about that.)

Then maybe it's time to reset my test copy.
To much changed details..

I cant get my test copy back to normal. but the zakstunts copy does run fine.
found the bug, i inverted the wheel on top.

fixed that and now it looks fine.

Wow! So it is possible! Is there a way to do it only with Stressed?

Yes. Open this car as reference and your car.
Duplicate a wheel and change the coordinates to match my version.
Then you have a rotated wheel.
Then all you have to do is move it to the right location.

I made the last version like that.

It works, thank you! Now I have to adjust it. :D

Oh, nice.

I have used little wheels as headlights and an Audi logo before, but I don't think I've put any in the horizontal plane yet.

Ryoma

I tried horizontal for a Ferrari F1 (maybe D50 or D246) for the admission grid.

And?. Didn't it work? What is your experience

I replaced it by a sphere because of the color.
