what if music albums would have animated covers?

Now I'm not sure if I will ever be able to listen to Parallel Lines without feeling dizzy  :)

I like how Cork's Crew shows up in this graph  8) (Overdrijf, please do tell us if you have a profile there)

I really like that too. I'm a 28-year old slightly masculine woman.
But we can't be quite sure.

In these times of gender mainstreaming my place is clear:  :)

ever heard about Microsoft Songsmith? It's basically a tool to remove uniqueness from music. (actually what it does is to autoamtically write music for the voice of a singer) From one side this is frightening. On the other hand it can be quite funny sometimes, especially if you like covers. :)

Some nice examples:
Motörhead goes easy listening:

Metallica goes synthpop:

but youtube has lots of others... :)

Brilliant! This can be used to show crap songs as crap (such as the Mötorhead one).
But we can't be quite sure.

BonzaiJoe

The beginning of this video is hilarious because it looks like they are wondering what the hell is going on with the backing music  :D

The way the chords are changed is quite strange.
But we can't be quite sure.

Correction: after hearing the Songsmith rape of "Creep", I have realized that this can be used for nothing at all.
But we can't be quite sure.

zaqrack

yes, Creep was disappointing. But I guess this tool also shows that true music geniuses are geniuses for a reason :)

Therion will perform their music this friday in Buenos Aires and I have my ticket!  ;D

In the meantime, eight days until Rush returns to São Paulo. A few hours less right now, actually  :) :)

Like to many of my favourite artists, I was introduced to Sparks by Bonzai Joe. I remember he told me "There is nothing like the Sparks". Indeed, this is true. I liked them instantly, it took me a year to fully discover and truly fall in love their early years (70s) constantly playing their songs on my mp3 player, and only recently I felt myself ready to explore their later works. And I must admit, I find most of their work an act of genius.
And now I listened to the album Lil' Beethoven from 2002. Amazing fusion of genres in a minimalistic yet versatile presentation, an instant place on my top10 album list.

My two favorites from this album as of now:
