But we can't be quite sure.

Europe: 14 points?

Maybe even more, thanks to the stupid rule when there is a tie for the best tip.

Yes, we could have 70 points or something. Maybe we should form that rain man team after all. I think you feel like me. It bothers me immensely that the rule is like that. Not because it really matters - after all it's just a small detail in a fun game. The results will probably be more or less the same. It just bothers me because in principle, it's illogical, unfair and nonsensical. It's like a puzzle with one piece turned sideways.
But we can't be quite sure.

BonzaiJoe

Imagine if they had that rule in Formula 1. Teams would make sure their cars passed the finish line at the exact same time, and pipsqueaks from different teams would make secret money deals to wait for each other and finish at the same time.
But we can't be quite sure.

I'm thinking more or less the same. Yes, even if it is a small game here, I would insist on that for each question, the same amount of points (1.00) should be handed out. It also bothers me that on a football match, if the score is a draw, only 2 points are handed out instead of 3. The same for NHL overtime games. The same here. Illogical, unfair, makes space for possible cheating.

However, it's still an individual game. :D

There is a valid reason for it. It's supposed to make teamd risk a bit more because winning one game and losing the next one is better than getting a draw in both.
Maths and logic are not the only valid reason to do something. Often an easier method is preferred over a more accurate one if the difference in accuracy is not relevant to the final outcome.
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)

I thought about when the one who asked the questions and evaluate the answers may cheat.
