Evaluation of cars (normalized for 0% = 1:00.00 case), based on a pure Audi TOP12 in this month:

2:02.45 (51%) - Lamborghini LM002
Unless it's a very fast track or one of the jumps is "locked" for this car, we will have a Jeep race.

1:35.25 (37%) - Lamborghini Countach
It needs a fast track with only a few corners.

1:33.75 (36%) - Lotus Esprit Turbo
Can't score now because of Countach. April?

1:17.90 (23%) - Porsche Carrera
No.

1:16.90 (22%) - Ferrari F40
Not yet.

1:16.90 (22%) - LWR ZR1-GT3 Mark II
No. (How could you give such a long and crappy name to this nice car? :D)

1:14.05 (19%) - Ferrari GTO
PG-maybe?

1:10.60 (15%) - Jaguar XJR IMSA
Only after the fallback of LM002.

1:10.60 (15%) - Lancia Delta Integrale
No.

1:03.15 (5%) - Melange XGT-88
No. (Ivan: don't try to keep it back with listfillers, please! :D)

1:02.50 (4%) - McLaren Honda MP4/4
No. But hopefully we can try it in the first half of the year.

59.40 (-1%) - Acura NSX
Even Joe Stallin would leave it out.

58.25 (-3%) - Porsche 962 IMSA
In the next century.

55.55 (-8%) - Audi Quattro
Finally!

54.55 (-10%) - Chevrolet Corvette
No.

51.30 (-17%) - Porsche March Indy
I can't imagine it. But if Zak is able to build such a track for March, he's my guest for a huge box of chocolate. :D

A long, totally flat track with long straights and some easy corners, with a loop in the first two tiles and only paved road in the other tiles.  :D

I don't think it would work, as McLaren has better acceleration and significantly better bonus. And LM002 has +51%... ::)

If the corners are paved, or let it be icy and sharp, LM002 would slow down in each one, but won't disturb Indy's power gear. Let alone the power gear grass shortcut ability of Indy, which shortens the route. I don't think it would be enough against a 230 mph Indy average speed track.

I don't know about McLaren that exactly, I haven't raced with that car.

Build me such a track. :D (remove McLaren from my arguement, it's really not suitable on a track like that).

Btw LM002 is not the only challenger of Indy in that case.  Btw if you drive the loop a few times in a row, GTO can also reach powergear (Rotoi, ZCT 47 :D).

CTG

Erm... you are almost right. If there's a ramp almost at the beginning (only Indy / McLaren / Melange / IMSA can reach a proper speed to complete it), followed by the loop and the paved parts you mentioned in your version, Indy could win the race.

What do you have against slow cars? :-/ Even Audi is a good car.. not on a crappy track..

Audi is not a slow car. :D

(okay, okay, you mean the flat track speed)

I prefer cars with good steering. I hate struggling with lame cars like Countach... In this game, mainly the fast cars have good steering (+maybe LM002).

But the box of chocolate made my brain thinking (though I'm not Zak), not the preference for a good steering car.

And I would also dismiss the non-original cars from this game (or at least from the competition).

I agree wholeheartedly; the LWT prefix was a big mistake  ::) Please call it ZR1-GT3; or just GT3, as that rolls much easier off the tongue. GT3, GT3, GT3 GT3...

ZR1 flows better, as second letter is not a plosive one as in GT3. I think "zed - ar - one" is easier because joining a consonant ending with a vowel starting is easier that consonant-consonant (which is required twice for GT3 and none for ZR1). Maybe is has to do with me being used to spanish phonetics and the rest find it easier to say GT3 anyway
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)

That makes sense, but unfortunately ZR1 = Vette...

Yeah I know. For me Vette=Vette, but I agree GT3 would be a wiser choice
