Chulk

I had actually tipped for a Neds 2-1 victory but 5-1 is really unexpected. As was Casillas performance, very far from even worst Real Madrid games
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)

CTG

5/7 from Stunts mini-league predicted a Dutch victory, so it wasn't that unexpected. Only the difference in the result (and in the gameplay).

BonzaiJoe

You did? Oh dear. This looks to be a hard World Cup for me. Mexico played so much better than I'd expected, too.
But we can't be quite sure.

Today:

Colombia - Greece: a relatively strong team without their best attacker (Falcao) vs the weaklings with traditionally good defence. It might be the first 0-0 of the world cup.

Ivory Coast - Japan: both of these countries are good enough to be in the best 16, but neither of them seems to be interesting enough. Few goals, maybe a draw.

England - Italy: the best game of the day - on paper. England is considered a bit "weak" at the moment, while Italy's best attacker is an unpredictable monkey nagger. But I think the difference of styles can make this match enjoyable. Dunno why, but I bet on England.

Uruguay - Costa Rica: another whitewash?

BonzaiJoe

But we can't be quite sure.

What about Uruguay vs Costa Rica?

Just added. I forgot we have 4 games "today".

Colombia - Greece ... It might be the first 0-0 of the world cup.

Damn, quite a good start with a fast goal + counterattack. I hope the rest of the game will be similar to that.

BonzaiJoe

Based on this game I think I will be supporting Colombia in this world cup, as well as Ghana. Sorry Duplode, Rotoi and Chulk. Had to make a neutral choice  ;)
But we can't be quite sure.

Chulk must be really angry now, he said 2-0... :D

Disappointing URU so far... (btw have you already noticed the high number of invalidated goals at this world cup?)

Overrated, I'd say. Uruguay (hopefully with Suárez) v. England in a fight for survival should be a cracker though!

alanrotoi

Will be Suarez the goalkeeper this cup too?

It's not really likely, but I hope Uruguay will survive Argentina at this World Cup.

(Suarez is a great forward. Not a good guy, but a good player who dies on the field for his national team. He made a good decision in 2010 when he acted like a goalkeeper.)

CTG

It seems Japan vs Ivory Coast was the most dividing match so far: 2-2-2 tips for all the possible results.

Today:

Switzerland vs Ecuador: have you ever seen a good match from the defensive Swiss team? Now it's really time for a 0-0.

France vs Honduras: France is in good shape even without Ribery, Honduras is not stronger than Jamaica (demolished by France a few days ago). Easy victory for the Europeans?

Argentina vs Bosnia: one-sided match in the air, with a gaucho goal festival.

Like/hate list of participants:

1 Belgium
Brussels and Brugge are great places, I love Belgian beer/chocolate/waffle/pommes frites, Spa-Francochamps is the greatest F1 track, Jean Claude Van Damme is the best B category action hero ever. ;D And their team is damned strong, built up from nothing.

2 Uruguay
Suarez is the CTG of football pitches, Forlan is the record holder of goals/season in my FIFA games, Godin helped a lot in ATM's championship title (and almost in the CL final). I can't forget their performance in 2010.

3 Spain
They would be still first without some burned out oldies.

4 Croatia
Friendly nation in the neighbourhood. I like their team since the Suker era.

5 Ivory Coast
Probably the best African team, Drogba is my favorite black player.

6 Argentina
They aren't in TOP3 because of the Rotoi factor. :D

7 Russia
Russian chicks are hot. And you cannot hate the nation of true alcoholists. ;D

8 Chile
Their games are worth to be watched.

9 Bosnia
Surprisingly I like the attitude of sport teams from the Balkan (unless they play water polo versus Hungary).

10 Ghana
Another strong, non-monkeyish African team. I have no problem with N people in general.

11 Italy
Could be in higher position without the monkeys: Balotelli and Akoss Poo. ;D

12 Germany
Colorful team, colorful game, but still: they are germans.

13 Brazil
Overrated Neymar, team is pushed by the refrees... but they play nice football.

14 Costa Rica
Their enthusiasm can compensate the lack of skills.

15 Japan
The best Asian team at least for 20 years.

16 Colombia
They would be in top10 with Falcao.

17 France
I can't hate them as much as I did in 1998 and 2000.

18 Ecuador
Neutral, maybe a bit saltless.

19 Mexico
Chilibeansland with tequila and lazy beer thiefs.

20 Nigeria
This team is far from their golden generation of the 90s.

21 Honduras
Neutral.

22 Australia
Boring.

23 Switzerland
Even more boring.

24 Greece
Unable to watch their games.

25 USA
Nobody likes the yankees.

26 Netherlands
Arrogant aryas.

27 Cameroon
The absolute soulless monkeys.

28 Portugal
cr

29 England
British football is damned far from my taste.

30 Iran
Terrorists.

31 Algeria
Terrorists.

32 South Korea
Remember 2002.
