Poll
Question:
The usual dual-way problem... Which line would you allow from the published map?
Option 1: None of them, dual-way switch should not be allowed at all
votes: 5
Option 2: Only the white one, that's a challenge
votes: 2
Option 3: Black & white, the other three are technically the same... erm... actually the black, too... but it looks a lot a better
votes: 0
Option 4: All, except the red
votes: 1
Option 5: FREEDOOOOOOOM, all of them
votes: 0
The usual stuff...
1:41.70 - Porsche Carrera 4
1:29.55 - Lancia Delta Integrale
1:28.25 - Lamborghini Countach
1:22.20 - Jaguar XJR9 IMSA
1:17.90 - Melange XGT-88
1:15.95 - Lamborghini LM002
1:12.30 - Acura NSX
1:10.60 - Porsche 962 IMSA
1:05.20 - Lotus Esprit Turbo
1:04.50 - Audi Quattro Sport
1:04.50 - Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
1:04.50 - Ferrari F40
1:00.60 - Ferrari GTO
58.25 - LWT-ZR1 GT3 Mark II
57.70 - Porsche March Indy
48.80 - McLaren Honda MP4/4
The three different lines are excellent and well-balanced. But still, the usual dual-way mistake... ::)
I didn't drive that way though, dual-switch but no 'wrong way'.
I've carefully read all the rules, but nothing restricts dual-way possibility using. As for the track design, it is an unlucky one...
But as in ZCT136 (http://zak.stunts.hu/index.php?page=results&season=2012&track=C136) (thread (http://forum.stunts.hu/index.php?topic=2806.0)) the straight "drive until first junction, reverse and go back to last junction, then drive through line" solution might be a bit too cheap.

Nope, sorry, but I'm sure you'll find it.

update...
Pink: Indy way
Yellow: IMSA or Indy (or Carrera?)
Red: forbidden fruit
White: Biker
This track would be well at home in the 2002 calendar... lot of tracks like this in that year...
update again...
Pink: Indy way
Yellow: IMSA or Indy (or Carrera?)
Red: forbidden fruit
White: a noble option
Black: Biker / CTG
See the poll (only the confirmed votes should be accepted).
My choice: no switch at all.
There, now you got it :) My line was the black one.
I'd have banned though, it would make the race quite boring, just like red and the similar ones.

Just like Biker's, Poo's and mine (now :D).
I voted for no dual-way switching, even though banning it now is not a great outcome either. As long as red was banned, I'd rather abstain - but that would be an useless choice, so...
I would vote "only white" and "none", but as I only get 1 vote I'll go for "only white" as it looks "acceptable" somehow

The best solution is to avoid dual-way parts in the first third of the tracks.
Should we declare such an unwritten rule (or advice) for track designers? Unfortunately both Zak and me used to fall in the same mistake every year... ;D

we should code it into the track validation routine in Stunts :)
I generally find dual-way switching thrilling. It should be banned on this track because it kills the race, but only as a 'special rule'.

That was exactly my thought. If dual-way switching is banned on this track, it should only be a 'special rule' for only this track.

Of course, dual-way switching is part of Stunts. That, however, shouldn't mean we have to lose good non-switching dual-way tracks like Z127 and Z146. There is no general solution to this issue - for instance, I speculated about the possibility of having a rule such as "it is forbidden to drive in the wrong way through the shared sector (i.e. the one with the start/finish line) to dual-way switch)"; under a strict interpretation, however, that would make my Z79 lap illegal, not to mention it wouldn't affect many of the problematic cuts in the tracks we are discussing.

Maybe as a warning - "This track may require
ad hoc rule changes" :) If we could modify the pathfinding routines, the pipe dream would be an option to add penalty time when dual-way switching, turned off by default.

If there hadn't been for him, you'd do exactly the same. It probably hurts, but nobody can catch the pipsqueak named 'Renato Biker'.

I just need a new lap - but I don't have time and motivation to complete it before the quiet days.
Ouch, I found a way for motivating. Just read the shoutbox messages from a track you liked. :D
So, who will choose the straight way? It's clearly the fastest, if you can do the banked road - hillside - cork up/down part without 18 seconds penalty.

RPLInfo was my fault, it should be working now. I haven't touched the "send replay" page though, but the QuietDays function said
no for some reason. Replaced, should work now.
Thanks! Of course I did not use the hidden replay option, it was just a notification to help others. ;D

You did it.
I mean it was the same as before. I said: "Mingva's profile has more views" then you clicked 2000 times in yours to have more. Now I say "downloaded 0 times" then click and download it.
What drives you to do those things? :D
