My first DOS Game!
F15II will always have a special place in my heart  ;D
I wonder what their aim is, and what could be achieved? Would be amazing to play a community-reengineered version.

Live Races / Re: Live races 2024

Quote from: Cas on May 14, 2024, 07:23:42 PMI'd like to know which options are OK for you guys and how many would be OK with pushing it to the following week so that Spoonboy can join.

Honestly, don't factor me in to the plan. With family around, I wouldn't usually know if I can participate until minutes before the race!
Let me practice with the format on my own schedule first :)

I'll be away all weekend sadly, but will try a dummy run at a set time myself, as practice for when I can next participate!

Looks good for Stratos or LM002! 🤔

Seeing this thread appear reminded me of an issue I saw. @Ryoma, would it be possible to change the needle colour in the Koenig Testarossa??
I'd love to test this car more, but the white needles on white dials make this difficult. Don't want to give you another job, but just thought I'd ask ;)

Quote from: Duplode on April 13, 2024, 06:11:24 AMBy the way, it turns out that the gap jump towards the bridge at the north is not only accepted by the game's track validation, but it also is quite doable even with the LM002!

Haha excellent! Thanks for checking 🤣

Does the raised road need an end ramp?
Maybe try putting an opposite bridge next to the existing one, then a ramp up to the raised road, so it all links together.

You may be going fast enough that these 2 new pieces will be jumped over anyway.
Although, as it looks like you'll be arriving from a snowy corner, that might be a big ask! :D

There are ways to get around some corkscrews (but not the one on the current ZakStunts track ZCT272! ;) ).
Details on @Overdrijf's video tutorials.

Maybe an invisibridge, where you jump and drive outside the raised straight before the cork starts. But I don't think this is possible here, as the cork is at the end of a long raised section that turns a corner. You can push through the Cork wall, but this is very slow and takes a lot of RH.

I am a fan of banked roads. Not sure if they can be placed over water like this. @Overdrijf?

Hi @taufan99 and welcome!
I've just tried it with the Mercedes DTM and I'm enjoying it  :D
Parts remind me of the classic Westwood track, which I use for fun quite a lot.

It can be challenging and fun to base tracks on real circuits. At DOS Game Club, we made several tracks inspired by GP circuits (6/10 so far!).
They can be found here:
https://www.dosgameclub.com/stunts-leaderboard/?page=overview
They are designed to be driven freestyle NoRH, and I think your track could be fun in this way too.

The hard part can be replicating the awkward shapes in real life tracks in Stunts (as your track shows, chicanes make good 'diagonals').
Also, including enough Stunts features to make it challenging, to whatever level you have in mind.
So far I'm enjoying this track's speed and level changes. The blind corners are ok (as long as I remember them!), but ugh no one likes an up/down cork 😅
I'll continue to practice on it - thanks for sharing!

Stunts Chat / Re: 4D Sports Driving Master Tracks I

Having now driven the tracks (with Ryoma's Oxia), I'd say Ploy was my favourite. Fun jumps and a surprise squeeze from a l/r cork into that tunnel!  ;D
The others were fairly so-so, with a lot of small and/or blind corners.
Enjoyed the raised s-bends in Dizzy, might try this in future tracks.

Great reviews - excited to try these with some favourite cars. These tracks are an interesting way to see how Stunts track construction has evolved.
I sometimes like to use more simple tracks like these to 'wind down' between competition tracks!  :D

Stunts Questions / Slow video mgmt
March 01, 2024, 09:37:42 PM
Hi all.
A fellow DOS Game Club member on our irc channel was asking about the "Slow video mgmt on/off" option. Found in Display Options > Change Graphics Level.
I know he runs real hardware (486?) but I'm not sure if he is running Stunts on it in this case.
What does this option do?

In other news, I just tried the game in low (FAST) Graphics mode for the first time  :o  ;D

Team Zone / Re: Teams for 2024
February 17, 2024, 07:08:44 PM
Thanks guys!
It is an honour to be asked to drive with such amazing teammates, and in the tiretracks of giants in our game's history.
@Erik Barros, I'm excited to see what I can achieve with an active team beside me, and how my methods adapt to team play, instead of being a lone wolf ;)
You once told me we must keep pushing. Your words inspired me to keep aiming for my best effort and not to give up. I still think of those words every time I race. Thankyou, brother.
