I'll organize a mini tournament for you in the following few weeks (with similar rules) but UnskilledStunts Rapid idea is still in the pocket, it will be in 2008.
1st week: applications
2nd-Xth (X depends on the number of pipsqueaks) week: matches versus eachother, winner gets 2 points, best time of the round means +1 point
Champion: the pipsqueak collecting the most points from these matches (no knockout phase)
Okay, Chulk is in. Application deadline: Sunday, midnight.
Here is the list of confirmed applications ("dynamic" editing ;D):
AbuRaf 70
Chulk
CTG
Dottore
Krys Toff
Mark L. Rivers
CTG
Cars of each rounds (counting with 8 pipsqueaks)
Round 1: Jaguar XJR IMSA
Round 2: Lamborghini Countach
Round 3: Audi Quattro
Round 4: Acura NSX
Round 5: Melange XGT-88
Round 6: Ferrari GTO
Round 7: Porsche March Indy
Tracks will have about the same length (50-70 seconds). If pipsqueaks will have equal points then time difference will decide (like goal difference in football).
I want to play it.
1 track per week versus 1 opponent, right ? Ok, then I don't want to face Mark at the Indy track, nor face Zak at countach track, nor face CTG at NSX track, ... ;D
How will rounds be decided? Like FIFA's World Cup? Hope there are not Cold and Hot balls! ;)
Rounds? Easily: everybody will play with everybody else, you can't avoid any of the opponents. Anyway I'll randomize the rounds.
Quote from: CTGRounds? Easily: everybody will play with everybody else, you can't avoid any of the opponents. Anyway I'll randomize the rounds.
Goal was not to avoid an opponent. But playing versus Mark will be easier (or less hard, choose what you prefer ;D) with Audi track than with Indy track for example, that's what I was meaning.
No problem anyway, I'll race whatever the opponent and the car. ;)
Weekly races doesn't sound that fitting for me at the moment... Better don't count me in :-\
I'm sorry to hear it but I absolutely understand. :(

Mark hasn't confirmed yet although I expect confirmation from him. Maybe Duplode, Super Brian, Werda, CTG... ::)
Quote from: CTGYes the XY vs Mark with Indy match will be cruel. Unless another Indy specialist (Dottore, Krys, AbuRaf) faces him there.
I'm not such an indy specialist to be honest. With ISA/IRC/WSC rules I can match, but with free rules I'm not so good... ::)
I'll try to make tracks with low time differences: Indy track will be built on water OR it will be an easier powergear track.
What about scoreboards :
- updates manual every day ?
- replay sending form like ZakStunts or WSC ?
- blind race and results at the end of the week like SDR ?
Scoreboards: I'll update as soon as I recognize a replay in my mailbox. Usually I'm at home between Saturday morning and Sunday evening (no internet), so I can only update the weekend replays few hours before the deadline. Apropo deadline! Races will run between Monday 0:00 and Sunday 23:59. To make the contest more fluent, I'll always publish the next track on Fridays.
I got a question: what if the number of pipsqueaks will be odd? In this case you will have a joker opponent to make it even, let's call him Skid Vicious or whatever: CTG with auto gears, 10 minutes RH (sure 2 points for all of you). I hope we will have 8 or 10 pipsqueaks and not 7 or 9.
Else, one of your ghosts can join. :P
Or I can try to convince one of the Warner Bros team member to join (200% sure to win for everyone, even ye old JTK ;D)
OK, count me in.
But keep on mind I'll try to change my nickname... "Indy-man" is a bit tight... ;)

That's what I said with Skid Vicious or whatever... ;D
It's so bad to change names... Mark L. Rivers is fair enough.
Maybe I'll use 3 letter abbreviations on the quick scoreboard of the main page (like in F1: MSC, RAI, ALO, etc). Of course you can suggest better forms...
AbuRaf 70 = ABU
Chulk = CHU
CTG = CTG ;D
Dottore = DOC
Duplode = DUP
Krys Toff = KRY
Mark L. Rivers = MLR
CTG = NAV
Duplode? Will you join? :)

Okay, I get it. :)
Spy photograph of the first track in the center of the Czech Beer Empire: Plzen (the world famous pilsner beer)! ;) Car will be Jaguar XJR IMSA.

Slightly hesitant due to possible lack of time... but I won't miss it! After all, USC deadlines will be postponed for a reason :).
8 pipsqueaks, cool! :) Werda sent a negative confirmation, I'm still expecting answer from Super Brian and CTG.
CTG said a polite no for USL due to exam season, so it seems we will have 8 pipsqueaks. As I promised, I always publish track on Friday, but race starts only after Sunday midnight.

So the first track, Plzen (Jaguar XJR IMSA):
Quote from: CTGAs I promised, I always publish track on Friday, but race starts only after Sunday midnight.
Good for me as I can use my very old computer only in the week-ends to have a good Stunts racing. So I prefer sunday midnight deadlines instead of friday midnight deadlines.
Indy track : Mark vs Doc, hard duel planned.
Yes, maybe the hardest behind Mark vs CTG. ;D (Modest function OFF)
There will be really many great matches. But on the other hand I wonder if you agree with best time of the round bonus or not. See the poll.
Good! No Mark in indy, no CTG on Acura. Though I haven't beat CTG with Jaguar IMSA, not even once since I join the community. There's always a first time they say, maybe now is that time.
You can try, but I won't be polite... ;)
Organization of the league ?
Only in the forum or a website is planned ?
On Sunday... :) It's transformed from the planned UnskilledStunts Rapid site (see in that forum).
It's blind racing till the end of the week, right? Where do we send the replays? riverkiller?
Not blind, only the weekend. But I guess there will be only my time on Fridays, maybe AbuRaf's...
Replay sending? you forgot to answer that...
Sorry, sorry, sorry... e-mail, as usual. The same e-mail. ;D
Good to know. I think maybe many had the same doubt
Yikes, I get my baptism of fire! ;D For starters, I'm already looking forward for the debut vs. Mark - at least the car is one I have hopes of not lagging too much behind....
Dear opponents! Site is so-so ready, just type the USC thing... :)

Tell if there's something wrong with the site, I'll try to fix on Sunday. Now I'm too tired. :)
Now I only have to say cheers with a Pilsner Urquell! :)
Start!!! 1:07.20 as basic time from me...
Tight match between Chulk and me, maybe I should answer his great lap... Other matches: Dottore leads the round - his opponent teammate is hiding. The oldie derby is still silent, while Duplode showed some skills to be afraid of him: he can be dangerous even for some lazy top dogs, so Mark mustn't sleep!!! ;)
You have already answered, Mark woke up from his nap and CTG showed his full potential. Nice race between SS guys!
It's no use to predict final results of the whole tournament but I think the champion can be Mark, Chulk and the winner of the Silver Spirit derby.
We can get some conclusions from what CTG said:
1- CTG really thinks he can't win or he's just being modest
2- SS derby is the most exciting of this 1st round!

I won't fight for the final victory. About the second sentence, the Chulk vs CTG match is better on paper. If you (and me) can do 1:03 or better than it will become reality.

Why is that? Don't feel motivated or you don't want to win your own contest?
Second option. So expect some surprising result from me... ;) (modern Robin Hood thing: I'll try to beat better pipsqueaks and let the points to the weaker :))
OK. So I'll now after sunday how high is your consideration about me.
It's Friday: time to publish the next week's track. After a great beer trip in Plzen, let's fly to another continent for a good cigar: Havana, Cuba. Attention, you have to use the evil Lamborghini Countach on this track! :D
Update of Plzen final results is coming soon, be patient. I didn't improve. ;)
Not enough tight matches at Plzen... I really missed the milliseconds war! Let's hope next round will be tighter.
Here are the Plzen replays!
Nightmare car...
Not only for you... Zak and BJ are loving it, CTG works fine with it (he won with it against Renato Biker in USC's last season), everybody else just suffers with this piece of .... But a good driver has to handle every situations, so keep racing and try to beat your opponent!
Mark: send a finished replay! ;)

I'll update later (only tonight) because I'm quite busy with useless works... :(
Nice track, well adapted to the car and its particular characteristics.
Expected winning time for Havana : around 1'03, maybe less. But it will require perfect gear change and knowledge of the car. Zak would have won this round if he had join I think.

You mean weirdest, don't you ? ;) Good luck then, because even with DOSBox racing under Vista (which is not perfect) I already easily overtook CTG's 1'08 time. 8) And I'll probably improve again in the week-end with pure DOS racing on my daughter's computer (am I kidding or not ? ;D ).
edit : perfect palindromic post : it was number 3003 !
CTG vs Mark seems to be a big knockout at the moment... I think winner will go under 1:00.
CTG already under 1'03 ?! OK, I was too shy in my prediction then.
That's a very good time, even I'll have problems to beat it. ;D AbuRaf is quite fast too, he's bloody motivated and wants to leave the last place.
My 1st lap was over 1:16. No case in sending it. I'll send as soon as I'm under 1:08 or so.
!hint: shorter is not always better... :)
Well... 1:00 is not a dream limit anymore. ;)
Another !hint for Countach newbies: if you are over 150 mph you mustn't press accelerator button on ramps, hillside, loop, etc. Try it and you will see why...
CTG : I sent to you a replay yesterday evening but got a feedback this morning telling me that your server refused my mail ?! ??? :o (not "mailbox full" info or so, it just told me that message was refused >:()
Time was 1'07"90, I send it to you in MP right now. ;)
edit : damn, with SMF we can't add attachement to a MP. >:(
I'll try to re-send the replay from my job mailbox then. Tell me if you get it or not please.
I got it, monsieur Van Houtte. ;D
Back to first hint, I guess the straight part (loop, slalom, ramp, cork up/down) is faster than the other one. Unless you make a very lucky jump on the banked corner and a magic carpet on the grass after it.

8), indeed... ;)
And back to the Countach, I feel "anti-power gear car" is the perfect designation...
"anti-gas pedal car" would be more accurate! :D
I've just make less large my gap from CTG (CTG, check your mail! ;)) and now I'm going to work for my goal, that is my best...
Reply to website news: CTG, I don't think there should be Online Help here (and for the rest of USL) beyond those tips. The gaps are large mainly because most people either hate or are not used to the car, and the ones who have less trouble with it are getting great times faster. Car differences are, after all, part of what makes each of those matches so peculiar (as most drivers are expected to have deep trouble for at least one race)... in other words, give us more three days ;)
Okay... but my hints will stay in the forum. ;)

I think Duplode means that an help in firsts 3 days is quite inopportune.
As I told in the recent and old past, I'm sure agree with him. I think that a race is a "place" where challengers can measure themselves each other, and I think that the large part of them want to reach their best not thanks to an help from ouside, but finding it inside them, availing all own experience and ability, striving to find the best way. But when an help is available, the race is wrested, because a driver thought that others will see it, and so, if he won't see it, he will be disadvantaged, racing with an "handicap". And when the race will be finished, all best drivers, the winner too (even if maybe he didn't see the help...), will have to thank (silently) the "helper" for their results.
I don't like this. I prefer congratulate the winner after the finish of the race, when I will see his replay and I will see what he has made his great result, learning so for the next race.

I see your point. Let's say I'll modify the YouTube online helps to F4 view without dashboard in USC, no help for USL. :) Or the other possibility: I'll publish my video helps only in the last few days of each USC races. It's quite important for some slower or less experienced drivers to learn the right way. You still have the option not to watch it. And who said that my ways are the best??? Surely you can improve with other tricks too.
Deadline: sunday. You have 2 days 13 hours and 40 minutes left. :)
OK, so no deadline extension.
Next week's track is available here - prepare with your Audi Quattro for a great challenge in Dubai (ZCT 13 retro version)! Bonzai Joe's winning time from 2002 (1:02.25) will be the ethalone.
Clarification of the rules: there are no official quiet days, I just said there won't be updates on Saturday and Sunday (usually), because I'm at home. This weekend I stayed in Budapest so I have the internet connection and the possibility of update.
What a contrast between Audi and Countach! Too bad I, in all likelihood, won't be able to race Dubai seriously untill near the end of the week...
Quote from: DuplodeWhat a contrast between Audi and Countach!
Sure, Audi is easy handling car for everyone while Countach is a deliciously difficult car dedicated to experts ("experts" means under 1 minute at Havana track). ;D
It will be hard for me versus CTG I fear... ::)

I was a bit in doubt.. until I've seen the small line at the bottom.... :D
Anyway, if you talked seriously I could not say to be an "expert".... as you will see my final result sent few minutes ago... And maybe because I chose the "slow left way", as CTG defined it on USL site... ;)
Update only tomorrow afternoon, I'm very busy now with real life work. I'll send the new track soon (in half an hour).
Slow left way is very fast! :)
Maybe I was wrong... but I used the easier straight...

I always talk seriously ! :D ;D
Answer with the final result update. ;)
Left way is easier but you need magic carpet to avoid losing time with the corner before the pipe. Straight way is longer but brings high speed. I tested bith and result is the same, except that straight gives more speed which is useful for the jumps that follows (I reached 240 mph with my Countach).
Final replay sent to CTG, let's sleep now. ;)
Yes he was serious! Great victory for Krys Toff! Thanks to a classic but a bit forgotten type of shortcut...
CTG vs Mark was the best match of the round, the Italian pipsqueak lost just by some milliseconds against the Countach specialist Hungarian.
Chulk is down, he has no points yet. Somehow he has to push harder because his next opponent will be Mark L. Rivers.
About the multiway choice:
Straight: Krys (but he won with the great trick in another section), Dottore, CTG, AbuRaf 70
Left: CTG, Mark, Chulk, Duplode
I think we can say the two ways were quite equal.
:o :o :o I'm speechless...not expecting such a spetacular loss :D
Not that it matters anymore (Krys' flying lap put it all into perspective - waiting for the replays!), but I would find it hard to locate any time difference between both paths. Even if one gets to cut the loop at ~160mph without losing speed (any replay?) I would say the straight way would be still around 3 secs longer, and that's roughly what one could recover by being at top speed where the tracks rejoin. Is my analysis correct?
Congratulations to Krys for his big shortcut! :)
I was exactly 2" faster than him at the last jump of last long straight but his last part has been wonderful. I tried to make it in last week, but after 2 trials I thought it was impossible... All experience for next time.... ;)
Congratulations to CTG too! :) Our races were very specular, maybe his double jump on the hill before the pipe (I made only one jump) has given him the 0"35 that he mantained for all the rest of the track...
And now I retrieve Chulk... Well, let's see what I can do with a car I don't know so much... ;)
Quote from: DuplodeEven if one gets to cut the loop at ~160mph without losing speed (any replay?) I would say the straight way would be still around 3 secs longer, and that's roughly what one could recover by being at top speed where the tracks rejoin. Is my analysis correct?
I think all pipsqueaks that took the straight line did this. I did.
And yes, you are correct : I tested both ways and they were equal in the end when reaching the long straight with the jumps.
With the left way and a magic carpet on the grass before the pipe, left way is faster. Else, they are equal, even with jumps on the hill border (I tried that too).
As my goal was to get the max speed possible to perform my magic carpet shortcut, I choosed the right way. If you are only at 230 mph, magic carpet is slightly too short and you end in the river. I had to be at 240 mph, and right way was the best to do it. ;)
For all those who didn't know the car well before this race, I'm sure you learnt a lot. CTG gave advices (mainly regarding accelerator management) and I showed you that at high speed you can do magic carpets with Countach... If you are an expert. ;D :D Next Countach race at ZakStunts will be challenging for everyone now I think.
Thanks for the congrats, now it's a duel between CTG and me. Hard fight expected, but I fear to loose... ::)

Amazing replay by Krys! Sorry I haven't raced at my best last 2 races but I've had some problems (many problems actually) for the last 2 weeks and had to race at a friend's house. Anyway, I've re-installed everything and it seems to work perfectly (at least for now) so I'll do my best to beat Mark (with the car I got my first podium in Zakstunts) or else I'm out of chances for the championship.

By the way, Audi's handling is
so sugar-coated you often do not even realize you lost 20mph on certain corners, only to ask "where the skid I lost 2 seconds?!" by the end of the lap.

Bonzai Joe's time will be dead, I'm almost sure. Although it's a really strong lap.
I can't open my mailbox since last evening, be patient if you sent any replays. Now I'm going home and will be back around 6 pm on Sunday.
About my time: worse than expected, somehow the delay of keypress is longer with the new keyboard. :(
Update is coming soon, new track too. Final results of Dubai will be published tomorrow afternoon as I'll have a nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy exam at 2pm and now it's time to start learning. :D
Next week challenge: Pretoria with Acura NSX. My test lap was 59.55, winning time will be around 53-55 seconds.
It's my second race with Audi, the first after a long time. I think I can improve in the future with it, but I want to tranquilize Chulk about is sure victory against me in this race. I can have some regrets about last race but not for this one. And (modest mode OFF) I think I won't lose more than a race in last 4 rounds... (modest mode ON)... maybe... ;)
Hmmm... you mean you are going to lose against me, right? ;D
Prediction from me, absolutely unmodest: I won't lose any matches in these series. ;D
(kidding)
4th round: Acura, CTG - quite easy win I guess, Acura is my car (am I Joe Stallin? :D)
5th round: Melange, Dottore - cruel game, chances are 50-50 (maybe 51-49 for me, Melange is one of my favorite cars)
6th round: Ferrari, Mark L. Rivers - black hole fight, I don't really know Mark's GTO skills, let's say 50-50 again
7th round: Indy, Krys Toff - damned hard match with a great opponent who will be motivated by many things to beat me with a weak car of mine. I think this one is the hardest from the 4 rounds, I give 60 percent to Krys victory.
Last minutes question: Mark or Chulk? Krys of CTG? We will see soon... (update about 20 minutes after deadline, I skid on learning)

Well... It will depend of the track I think. ;)
Results and replays are uploaded, analysis will be done tomorrow night.
Oh damn it Krys, your last replay just arrived but it was sent after midnight as far as I see in Freemail. But as it doesn't change anything in overall, I'm going to accept it. Be careful with deadline next time...
Why 1'03"15 for me ? I did 1'02"80... ::)

Oh right : I sent it at 00H01 says my mailbox. I should have not written a message and just send the replay. :D
68 seconds late - a bit longer than your replay. Maybe you raced after deadline without RH and sent immediately to me... ;D
Krys had quite "easy" opponents so far. Let's see what he's going to do with Chulk, Mark, Dottore and CTG. ;D

Easy or not, I beat everybody with Countach. :P
So I may do it again with another car and... With some luck ! ;D
Good luck to it but from now you have less chance.
Acura is my weapon, Melange is one of the most popular cars (many specialists), Silver Spirit is good with GTO, Mark is the number one with Indy. If you can win any of these then do it. ;)
Too bad I couldn't really have a chance to push it at least to 1:04:XX. This weekend was dedicated to setting up a new PC. As you might imagine, is
not going fine :P

Sounds realistic because:
a, Krys Toff is good with Acura (usually)
b, Krys Toff is good in milliseconds war (usually)
c, Krys Toff is an old sex addict Frenchman and testosterone increases performance (always) ;D
Don't expect a lap form me anytime soon, as I still have to learn how to manage NSX PG properly...

mass spectrometry
Without any rigour, it's blasting a molecule into smaller charged bits, then "weigh" the fragments and infer what the molecule was like originally.
Like, what's the likelihood of finding a fellow chemist in a ~40 member community? :D
Akoss is close to chemical sciences too. No surprise, we were at chemistry faculty in the secondary school. :)
Back to Stunts: I don't think Pretoria winning time will be lower than 57.00... (and I hope nobody will finish over 1 minute)
LOL ! I love your "Shameless Krys" sentence in the USL news. ;D
:P (I'm also 0.05 seconds ahead of CTG, tactics...)
By the way I sent an e-mail to all the participants about a possible server error and alternative link: http://unskilled.tvn.hu . I also registered a new forum for emergency case: http://forum.sg.hu/forum.php3?azonosito=unskilled

- I can't be faster,
- Chulk is sure to win,
- Chulk will win,
- Chulk has already won,
- ...
Is it credible ? ;D

Oh, then I must be missing something really obvious, as I'm still
nowhere near 1 minute :P. This sounds like a reprise of Z75 for me, except this time I'm sending a time anyway...
The obvious thing you missed : use manual gears, then gear up to last gear when entering the loop => powergear (that's the main feature of NSX).
Same thing for 2nd loop (except if you manage to keep powergear from the start to the finish... ;D)
I will test that now... looks weird at first, as it seems rather difficult to reach PG normally (i.e, at the big jump, as revs need be a lot high), but should work!

Reaching PG this way whatever your speed is a specific feature of NSX, for other cars you have to be at certain speed minimum.

My pleasure.
It was no interest for the race to let you not knowing this feature of the car. I strongly suggest you to check winning replays of previous NSX races at ZakStunts or USC and, why not, join a team.
Indy also has this feature Duplode. And if you want to see how to get PG in a loop at the very beggining with Ferrari GTO, check the attached replay from Alan Rotoi.

Damn, it's kinda hard to get convinced the yellow car is a Ferrari! Great handling there. And ;D at the triple loop...

My online dictionary English-Italian gives me 14 traductions for "skid" and 12 of them are equivalent to "slide" or similar. Other 2 meanings doesn't seem hilarious or indecent even if CTG's comment is quite explicite... Sorry, I improved significantly my English in last year making it almost decent, but I still don't know all idiomatic terms... ;)

Mmmm, how do you usually say ? Oh, yes : "I was not lying, I was kidding". ;D
After 4 rounds it seems that three pipsqueaks (Dottore, CTG, Krys Toff) have a great chance to win the title and another two (Mark, CTG) has do his very best to keep this chance too.
Dottore's opponents: CTG, Krys Toff, Mark L. Rivers (my tip: 2 victories, 1 loss)

I must say I like the setup/rules of the USL. Short races, only 1 week, head to head :D... All nice!
Will you start another one, once this one is finished?
Yep I will but with a bit different rules. See UnskilledStunts Rapid topic. ;)
Just seen it. According to those rules I won't get an invitation as I am kinda low on the "priority list".

Well, Mark and I have 3 hard duels remaining. CTG will have 3 easier duels.
Except if Chulk is back at his best for this week's round, CTG will win his 3 remaining duels => 5+6 = 11 points. So, CTG is will be a podiumer of the contest. Victory will be between Dottore and CTG, depending of the one of them winning their current duel.
I don't see CTG loose versus any duel, except maybe versus Dottore.
But maybe I'm wrong... And bonuses may change the classification, that's important too.
LOL! Your opinion is a bit sharp.
1, I'll have three hard matches, everything is possible from 0 to 9 points (the same for you, Dottore and Mark).
2, Chulk and Duplode can be really dangerous on CTG, I think at least one of them will beat him.
Finally I leave the seventh spot! Too bad I could not shave another tenth in order to get a point, but anyway it was a good race. Now, the current track looks quite funny...
Funny? The shape? :D
What about a scoreboard update CTG ?

Maybe I will. But I ask Krys Toff to find a good song for it (winner replay will be archived in a YouTube video).
Are you thinking on archiving every winner replay?. Another thing, what about the comparison in last Acura track in Zakstunts you talked about then? Are you still planning to do it? I really hope you are.

No, only the Yokohama winning replay because already 3 pipsqueaks said it's a great track.
Acura comparison, ZCT75? I don't remember saying that but after so many posts it's really possible to forget things. :) No analysis before next Tuesday, I'll have Chemical and biosensors exam on Monday.

General info
I'll go to for holidays the last day of USL : the 29th of July.
So my last real day of race will probably be 27th, as 28th will be to prepare the departure.
I already loose the last duel then... :-\
Too bad... I wanted to demolish you with equal circumstances. ;D (kidding)
Okay let's say our match finishes on 27th July midnight (I'll send you my replay) - and the last 60 hours of the race will be "quiet days". Is it okay for you?
General info 2
I'll start for a short holiday tomorrow in early morning.
CTG, would you publish the track of next week until this midnight? If you won't, maybe I can't race against you... The duel is written yet, but I would try to stay near you... Just to make your race not too much boring... ;) Anyway, probably I'll send you only one time at the ned of next week... I won't hide me, simply I won't have a continuous internet connection... ::)

Oh my God, I forgot to make a track and I'm quite busy now... :( It will be done for the next morning.
Here is the next week's track, use the Ferrari GTO on it.
It ends tonight...

Update around 7-8 pm (Hungarian time), I have many private things to do today. Last hours of the race were really exciting...
Sorry I just came back to the hostel, update will be in an hour. Finish was very spicy... ;)
USL 2007 is over, the official rankings are:
1 Dottore
2 CTG
3 Krys Toff
4 CTG
5 Mark L. Rivers
6 Duplode
7 Chulk
8 AbuRaf 70
My personal opinions about these rankings:
Dottore - stayed undefeated during the whole tournament and won 4 rounds from 7, finished 6 times on the podium, reached far the best summarized time result. He's the undisputed champion of UnskilledStunts events in the last two years.
CTG - more or less good performance, sometimes a bit lazy (like in the last round). With a bit more motivation he would be closer to Dottore in overall.
Krys Toff - one of the big positive surprises of the tournament. He won 4 matches and beated everybody with Countach. His tactics worked fine - it resulted a very nice bronze medal.
CTG - four victories, tight matches and a surprising loss against Duplode at the end. There was more in this tournament for the Hungarian but he couldn't absolve if perfectly - what's more he wasn't very lucky...
Mark L. Rivers - the most popular opponent for the others due to summarized opponent times. He was usually quite fast but couldn't calculate with the strength of his opponents - it caused 4 lost matches, even with his best car, Porsche March Indy. He has the second best cumulative time result but he was very unlucky with the opponent-car combinations. I expected a bit more from him - not in direct performance but in match results.
Duplode - newbie with more and more powerful racing and three nice victories at the end. His evolution was spectacular, we have to count on a great performance from him in other competitions too. Very nice introduction!
Chulk - proclaimed aspirant of league victory in the role of punchbag. Total disappointment, only a single victory against Mark and many weak matches, especially at the end. Negative sensation of the contest.
AbuRaf 70 - enthusiastic racing, quite modest results. He made some good laps and at least he won the last match versus an unmotivated Chulk.
Of course congratulations to the winner Dottore and to everybody else. Thank you for the participation!
Congratulations all for their racing and above all Dottore for his great performances.
I just want to say that the contest was quite funny, even if quite grinding having to race hard weekly for 50 days. About the rules, I don't think that Time Difference (sum own - sum opponent) was a good criteria to determine the final rank because time difference is too much affected from different kind of races. In hard tracks it's quite easy build a large gap versus less expert drivers, instead a millisecond race. So I think that, if there's a deuce about sum of points, the only criteria which should be keep in count to determine the final rank should be the result against eachother and the summarized lap times. (Btw, in this way Krys would be 3rd anyway having beated CTG in direct match).
About me, I thought to be able to climb on the podium, even if I thought it would be really hard after I saw since before to begin the opponent-car combination. No Porsche 962 (one of my favourite car, I always obtained very good results with it), Indy against Dottore (really strong with it as he showed in previous races) above all without Powergear, Countach against CTG (a specialist with it), Ferrari GTO against CTG (the worse car for me against a specialist with it).
Anyway, I'm satisfied of my performances. As scoreboard shows, and CTG has underlined, the sum of the time of my opponents is the lowest, while my sum of times is the 2nd behind Dottore. And I think this means something more than my 5th place.
Bad luck for you... But the most surprising thing was your lost match against Chulk due to his overall performance. My opinion:
1, P962 was left out because one IMSA is enough in 7 rounds (plus Melange).
2, I'm not a GTO specialist.
3, You are wrong, CTG beated Krys - so in your adviced system CTG would be 3rd (I'm going to reconsider this advice for USR 2008)
4, Your cumulated 2nd place is very nice - but guess what happens if I have time to use manual gears versus Krys... ;) (for you: one ranking up in overall, one ranking down in cumulated times)
5, This is a very nice 5th place, with some luck you can win the next tournament.
So it's over... good fun in a great tournament, thanks to CTG and to all of my opponents for it's realization and congratulations to Dottore for his utter domination of the contest (his confident use of 3rd gear in Nizza was the cherry on the cake, although I also could learn about proper 1st gear use from Mark's lap...). As for my participation, even though three victories was much better than I would expect, the most positive thing was the learning - every track called my attention to a particular way of improving my times or a unknown car characteristic. Thanks all again!

First of all. Congratulations to Doc! He's a worthy champion. Now, I want to apologyse for my results. I know more was expected from me but I was really busy and only raced seriously with Audi Quattro, Countach & Acura. I promise to do my best next time.
No problem, opponents were satisfied with the results (except Mark). ;)
