Well then, I'm home this weekend. And the next. Oh, the one after too? Maybe it's time to organise a live race, even multiple live races!
Let's start with Sunday 22 March, 20:00GMT! Who's in?
For those who are new, read about the "Le Stunts" format (http://forum.stunts.hu/index.php?topic=2801.0) that we usually follow.
Yeah. That would be great. It was a lot of fun last year!
But this sunday i would like to give watching this a try:
https://corp.formula1.com/formula-1-launches-virtual-grand-prix-series-to-replace-postponed-races/
With the lil girl for me it would be a bit difficult to be present at an exact time and date... :-|
If there's quorum, I'm in. Otherwise, count me in for next week or just whenever you can. I'm also at home for quite a while!
Sounds like next week might see more participants, let's try with that :)
Next week or something sounds nice.
Is one of you making a short track? Or shall I?

Always happy to race on an Overdrijf track, go ahead! ;)
I'll be happy to join next week and if you need another track, count on me for that too. Last time, I think we had two or three races. It was good. Let's try to set a date and time in advance so that we have an agreement and make sure we don't need to re-postpone :) In my case, the weekend is OK virtually at any time as long as I know in advance. Weekdays are better in the evening or in the morning, because I'm still working in the afternoon, but... if I know in advance that there'll be a race, I can change my working time for that day.

I'll post the track Friday, giving everyone two days to have a look.
(Note: I split the previous race into its own topic (http://forum.stunts.hu/index.php?topic=3614.0))
I missed the last race, let's have another one! I'm available any EU-time evenings, or we could do next weekend ;)
Next weekend sounds good for me! I could be available on non-weekends, but the timing should be very good or I should know in advance where. If there's agreement about a day other than weekend, ask me with time, and I'll see if I can manage to be there at that time. But a Saturday would be ideal, and Sunday is #2.
Maybe squeeze in a quick final live race in the Christmas days just so we can say we did three of them this year? ;)

19th or 20th of December? Who's in?
lifts hand
I think I'm available 19th and 20th. *Raises a bit of an unsure hand*
Count on me, guys! :)
As usual, my availability for a precise time and date depends on various unpredictable factors, so I will probably know at the very last...
I'm in! The 19th or 20th of December sounds good to me!

What's your timezone? We often race around 20:00GMT.
My time zone is GMT+10. If it means that more people can participate, I'm happy to get up early! :)
Oh, that's going to be quite early for you, KyLiE! Anyway, I'm more comfortable on the 19th, but if it's to be the 20th, count on me too
If it's on the 20th I could participate as well.
Got to work the 19th.
Although I don't know if family matters are in my favour (we went in corrona lockdown today)
There are different options (https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meetingtime.html?iso=20201219&p1=152&p2=5&p3=196&p4=50&p5=136&p6=213&p7=51), but the best one seems to be "evening in Australia, morning in Europe and South America", which you can see in the attachment.
That could be Friday evening/Saturday morning, or Saturday evening/Sunday morning. A bit early for those in South America, or is it doable?

GMT -3 morning is doable for me, even if it's early -- just let me know the time slot in advance so I can set my alarm clock :D
Morning! :o Is there a thing called "morning"? Ha, ha XD Yeah, well, I'd have to start drifting my brain's time-zone starting tonight, as I'm usually an owl that goes to bed at 4am or 5am and sleep till midday. There are still a few days ahead so I can do it. Besides, it's not the same waking up early to work as waking up early to race! :D
You guys do whatever suits you best. I'm usually up late at night but like I said, I'm happy to get up early for a race.

I'm actually kind of blocked on Saturday evening, it's a Christmas kind of thing.
But the comfortably late Central European morning suits me just fine.
Also, is anyone working on a track yet? Or do I need to bring the quarantine rooms back out? ;) It looks like we did room 7 and 9 on that previous session. (http://forum.stunts.hu/index.php?topic=3614.0)
I'm not working on a track 8)
(just like to state the obvious)
But as I have never participated,
Can someone please give me a quick rundown of what I can expect?
I remember something with lap times but I didn't get the meaning..
(Still not sure if I can make it)
::)

We race on a looping track without going through the finish line, for a fixed amount of in-game (8m) or real-life (12m) time. The winner is the pipsqueak who has travelled further, counting laps first, and track tiles in case of draws. More info in the sticky thread (http://forum.stunts.hu/index.php?topic=2801.0).
At this point I would propose Saturday 19th, 11:00 to 12:00 GMT, which means:
- Melbourne - Sat 22:00-23:00
- Adelaide - Sat 21:30-22:30
- Perth - Sat 19:00-20:00
- Budapest / Rome - Sat 12:00-13:00
- London - Sat 11:00-12:00
- Rio de Janeiro - Sat 08:00-09:00
- Buenos Aires - Sat 08:00-09:00
I have not prepared a track, happy to drive on any Overdrijf-experiment, or other. Take ownership, and post the track on Friday morning in this new thread (http://forum.stunts.hu/index.php?topic=3629.new#new) :)
I can prepare a track :)
Any car restrictions?

Great, thank you Cas!
If anyone else wants to make one, feel free: sometimes we have time for a second race :)

One car only, usually. Track designer's choice.

The time slot is fine; I'd only like to double check the date with you all. The only "hard" objection so far was from Daniel3D, who will be working on Saturday. Cas said he prefers Saturday but could make it on Sunday. Overdrijf mentioned not being around on Saturday evening, but that a morning race would be fine -- but also on Sunday? (As for me, I'm okay with either day.)
I'm happy with either Saturday or Sunday. It doesn't make a difference for me. :)
Sure, you can count on me too. And I already have a track! Maybe I'll make another one, just in case :)

I have a late afternoon/evening shift.
So I should be able to be there.

Then I'll will need to practice. 95% of the time I drive the Indy or the McLaren... So my driving is rubbish with the others...
Okay, I guess we're set for Saturday, then :)

On a tangential note, thinking of the recent conversations about versions lately, I suggest we stick to Broderbund Stunts 1.1. (Granted, we could in principle pick some other version, though the slow replay management of the 1990 versions could cost precious seconds under our usual rules.)
I have the ZakStunts 2020 edition as separate install ready to play 8)

Yup.
Cas, are you OK with the track? Happy to supply one if you are busy!
Ehmm. What time zone does CAS live?
If still New Zealand then it's about 7 in the morning.
(Might have been better if he posted the track before he went to sleep ;D It won't make a difference to me. I'll probably be last anyway. It's the fun that's important)
Should be South America, so I have posted a track in the other thread (http://forum.stunts.hu/index.php?topic=3629.new#new). We can use that for the "warmed-up" race, and Cas' for the second one ;)
Fine by me. 8)
Hey, guys, I'm here! I forgot I should post the track earlier. So here it is!
So, why New Zealand flag instead of Argentina?? ;D
The only other country where I have lived is NZ and they treated me well there. I haven't been treated well here, so I thought I'd better stop representing Argentina, ha, ha.
Fair enough!
