Concept of a fast tournament for the best pipsqueaks of USC ever:
Date: April-May 2007
Invitation list:Former champions1 Dottore
2 Bonzai Joe
3 Gutix
Former season podiumers4 Krys Toff
5 Akoss Poo
6 Alain il professore
7 CTG
8 CTG
Race winners9 Renato Biker
10 Usrin
11 Mingva
12 Dark Chaser
Most active (but not race winner) USC drivers13 Diesel Joe (18 races)
14 Zak McKracken (15 races)
15 CTG (13 races)
16 Mark L. Rivers (12 races)
17 Werda (12 races)
18 AbuRaf 70 (10 races)
Competition will start at least with 10, maximum with 12 pipsqueaks. The mentioned list means priority too (and will be extended if I can't persuade 10 pipsqueaks).
Group phaseLike in football: pipsqueaks will be cathegorized in groups, due to their priority rankings (2 groups). Everybody will play a match against everybody else in the group. Each races will last for one week. Winner of the matches will earn 2 points, draw means 1 point and loser gets nothing. The best performance of each races will get 1 bonus point. Missing a match would mean -1 point penalty and 2 seconds worse time than the worst in that round.
Sudden death phaseGroup winners are qualified automatically to semi-finals. 2nd and 3rd place participate in "quarter-finals" - winners of these matches will fight with the group winners for the final. And of course the winner of semi-finals will play the last match against eachother... :)
To make it clear (I guess my words were just in mess), here is a model contest:

Since the end of IMSA Cup, we need a tournament like that.
Count me in.
Fine! I just talked to Dottore on MSN and he said yes too. It means already 3 pipsqueaks. :) (On the other hand Akoss Poo said no answer but I guess he won't participate).
I'm also in.... Very complicated rules, but as long as you keep score, I guess we're alright :)
Not that difficult, system is very similar to water polo European Championship... :)
Design is almost ready... ;)
(Of course I won't use V?c track and Carrera - I just needed the pics inserted in the table... :) )
:) The usual black design. :)
Basic concept is good but I have some idea how to improve it. Do you accept some piece of advice from me?
Tell. Or send.
What about track names? You can suggest any towns from the world. One of them will be Izevsk (Russia) for sure. :)
Another participant: Werda confirmed his start.
will participants race with the Skoda Rapid? :) (one of my fav cars :))

Why not using dead people names for track names ? Like Anna Nicole Smith or Lolo Ferrari. Dead blonde chicks with false tits are good names for tracks : false huge tits are hills, ass and pussy are tunnels, jump will be done over the mouth and the nose, ...
Edit by CTG: This is a serious topic!
Sorry, I had to. I don't like kidding with dead people even if they were whores.
USR idea frozen, postponed to 2008 (after the 5th season of USC).

Why ? Not enough confirmations ?
No, I just recognized that I won't have time for it - but regular USC can run without problem and with less update.
I like the idea! Implement it as soon as you can. And of course count me in!
Yes the XY vs Mark with Indy match will be cruel. Unless another Indy specialist (Dottore, Krys, AbuRaf) faces him there.
Damn, splitting topic fucked up the whole thing... Of course the last two post would be USL topic.

NEW CONCEPT!!!
As I cancelled USR, I decided to make a bit different weekly event. We have never had a real team contest ever. Now I offer a chance to race for eachother - without individual scoreboard.
Idea is the following: 8 pipsqueaks ---> 4 teams. Not conventional teams - pipsqueaks would be divied in two caps (WRL rankings) and selected by a draw (one from top4, one from 5-8). Every team would play with the other one twice (every pipsqueaks vs every other pipsqueaks) and collect points.
Pointsystem:
3 pts - both team members could beat their opponents
2 pts - one member wins, the other loses and their summarized result is better than the opponent's
1 pt - one member wins, the other loses and their summarized result is worse than the opponent's
0 pt - both members lose
Maybe it sounds a bit difficult, so here is a sample contest:
1 - Inavoeg
2 - Mark Nailwood
3 - Roy Wiegerinck
4 - Akoss Poo
5 - Doelloos
6 - Leo Ramone
7 - KHR
8 - Mingva
Selection by a draw (for example via YouTube): Roy & Leo, Akoss & Doelloos, Inavoeg & KHR, Nailwood & Mingva
ROUND 1
Roy vs Doelloos 1:10.55 - 1:13.40
Leo vs Akoss 1:24.90 - 1:10.80 ---> 1:1, Akoss & Doelloos have better sum time result ---> 2 pts, other team 1 pt
In round 4 Roy will play race versus Akoss, Leo versus Doelloos.
Inavoeg vs Mingva 1:10.10 - 9:54.45
KHR vs Nailwood 1:20.00 - 1:20.05 ---> 2:0, Inavoeg & KHR 3 pts, other team 0 pt
...
6 rounds, everybody played with everybody else but his teammate. No individual rankings, just teams. ;) Do you like it?
Original idea. I like originality. But why only 8 pipsqueaks/4 teams ?
Sounds like fun. But team-making should be well considered, maybe not just random...

Because I guess there's no more than 8 pipsqueaks being able to race weekly... :(
I like the randomized teams, but who will handicap players?
So... from now the first 8 applicants can participate. It will start at the same day with the new USC track in January. ;)

I don't really understand your question. As I said before, randomization will be solved with draw (two caps with 4-4 little pieces of paper, draw, recorded with webcam and published on YouTube). Luck has a little role in this case but I guess first cap pipsqueaks are quite equal (possibly four of these pipsqueaks: Bonzai Joe - as a former USC champion he has the law to be first cap pipsqueak without WRL ranking, Mark, Dottore, Chulk, CTG, Duplode, Argammon, CTG), while second cap has a good balance too. What's more, teamwork will mean a lot - fast first cap pipsqueak with less sense to find tricks + good trickfinder oldie with worse WRL ranking can be a winner combination.
I was asking who will decide about a pipsqueak's skill? Who says which pipsqueaks belong to cup "a" or cup "b"? Who will decide cups conformation? (This last one should have been the original question, as it's the clearest one) ;)

I think CTG will do according to his WRL + best results achieved at USC, like he said about BJ.

Maybe I didn't understand very well. Will USR for teams start next January, while ISM will be in its topical moment? If it's so, sorry but I don't think I'll participate, I won't have enough time...

That's very true, CTG - as you are concerned about pipsqueaks lacking time for weekly races, you'd better postpone it a bit...
I agree with Duplode and Mark. Maybe it can start on February?

Hmmm then let's say it will start few days after ISM final.
Idea cancelled... or let's say postponed to an undefined date. :)
I have to work a lot in the following weeks/months so I can't afford to spend too much time on different competitions and it would be very unfair against my future temporary teammate.
Quote from: CTGmy future temporary teammate.
Mmmm... Work teammate or the re-born of Unskilled Drivers with a new member ?edit : forget it, it's the teammate of USR as mentionned in previous posts. My mistake.
