I somewhat prefer 12:00 UTC, but can also do 13:00 UTC.

Those are all pretty cool. I've particularly enjoyed the Robert Kubica's Grand Prix version  :D

And here is the ZCT273 update of the ratings! In this round, Argammon spectacularly reappeared on deadline day to reassert his lead, becoming only the fourth pipsqueak ever to reach 2300 points! New medallist Mark Nailwood, Spoonboy and Zapper have also reached personal best ratings. Below is the updated evolution chart:

Quote from: taufan99 on April 26, 2024, 12:32:57 PMAs well, feel free to take my tracks and consider which one(s) to use then.

Round 5 of R4K is being held on Mandalika!  8) I have just posted my first replay at https://www.raceforkicks.com/index.php?page=race&race=2024-05  ;)

The F40 at +4 was the second best car on ZCT272 by a quite narrow margin, which suggests that, as long as it isn't a PG race, it will likely win easily at +10. If the track is actually as I'm imagining it to be, that sounds fun!  :D

I sense there will be plenty of sliding into gaps, so maybe Lancia (Delta) or F40? (Or even non-PG Vette, though that seems unlikely given the bonuses.)

Nice find -- I get something of a Trackmania vibe from the clips, albeit with more austere Stunts-like aesthetics. Everything hinges on how the gameplay feels, of course. I'll check the demo next time I boot into Windows.

Quote from: alanrotoi on April 19, 2024, 11:04:19 PMThis month seems to be a different type of race, not only the unique track element.

Yeah, the race has been evolving in interesting ways! Also, I'd say the track is very well suited for the LM002, so it's a fitting venue if that car is going to break its long streak of near-misses!

Quote from: mrdries on April 13, 2024, 09:51:50 AMFeel free to add them.

Added to the section on u/d corks  :) It's indeed very useful to have all of these documented and available for browsing; thanks a lot!

Yeah, that would be a fun event! (I'm now daydreaming of a full-blown greyout feature, in which going faster you go through the loop, the longer and more intense the blurring becomes.)

It would be higher than that for 6g -- 89.8 mph -- because centripetal acceleration grows with the square of the speed.

We gotta divide rather than multiply by 3.6 when converting to m/s. That gives a speed of 109.5 m/s and thus, by the formula above, a (still quite scary!) acceleration in g of 1223m / r.

What is the radius of a Stunts loop, though? Let's stick with the basic conversion factor for the in-game physics: 1 track tile = 1024 3SH units = 205 feet. Like most roller coaster loops, the Stunts loop isn't perfectly circular; however, the upper half is close enough for using the extreme z coordinates (that is, along the direction of the track) for the radius:

That means a radius of 449 3SH units, or 89.89 ft, or 27.40 m. The acceleration, therefore, would be an extreme 44.64 g!

The ratings have been updated for ZCT272! Two personal best ratings in this round: Spoonboy (a +50 change brings him to a very busy slice of the table!) and Zapper (second round in a row). Below is the updated evolution chart:

To be fair, the LM002 has a significant advantage there due to its good grip on ice. To make it thornier, switch to the Carrera or, harder still, the Thunderbird. (I think I have a reliable strategy for the former, but couldn't make it work yet for the latter.)

Quote from: Cas on April 08, 2024, 08:50:28 PMIf you enjoy track making, we can find a slot for one of your tracks to be in a race. In ZakStunts, we normally reserve these slots at the beginning of the year, so they're all taken this time, but in Race For Kicks, we still can make it. Only you have to take into account it's OWOOT (see https://wiki.stunts.hu/wiki/OWOOT) when designing the track. In live races, maybe, you could also get to post a track, although those are special too.
I'll consider, but no exact promises as I've also been busy modding other games, alongside real-life responsibilities and such. Sounds like an interesting challenge, though, if not a bit complicated (due to the jumps and bumps in track variations that I know of).

Designing for OWOOT races is arguably an easier way to get started, as the rules mean you don't have to plan for shortcuts or the wilder tricks. By the way, your Mandalika track from the opening post is a nice one! It's well-paced, and has some tricky combos that help to keep it interesting all the way. Here goes a Jaguar no-shortcuts demo run  :)
