Be "Smart"!
It's time to present the new dazzling challenge living it inside your Melange! :) You know the car, it doesn?t need presentation: speed, grip, steering. In a word: smart. You know what kind of driver SDR needs: fast, able, imaginative. In a word: smart. You don?t know this track. But don?t you imagine how could it be? Yes: ?Smart?! 8) Enjoy with the 2nd track entirely dedicated to NORH drivers! :) Start is behind the corner: 1st May at 00:00:01!
Track is available! Gentlemen, start your engines! ;)
This track has typical "Mark-ish" elements and has a good rythm. Car is well apropriated for the track. Well done, I enjoyed a lot to do noRH race on this one. Be sure I'll race it again.

I'm very happy to know your comments. When I designe a NORH track, I always try to make it thinking to the emotions that an engaged driver can feel driving is car as fast as he can. ;)
Indeed a very neat track, Mark. By the time I get satisfied with a NORH replay on it my keyboard will have been already punched to death, but oh well...

Head, heart, ability, firm nerves and... patience! ;)
A "Smart" duel: I and Krys soon on the track researching the right strategy! :) For the moment I get 1 bonus point resulting 2" faster than Krys (0,5 bonuspoints), but maybe leading time is too much fast to be easily lowered at next checkpoint... ::) So Krys will have more possibilities to get a whole bonus point next Sunday! ;) Anyway, we sure are waiting Chulk: what kind of time will he reach at his outset...? ???
I would like to send a video on this before Sunday's checkpoint (at last I found time to setup DOSBox!). If my motherboard does not bust up till then (real possibility...), there's a fair chance of me getting a decent (for last place, that is!) lap.

Damn. I keep fingers crossed hoping it won't happen to you.

Wonderful news!!! :) :) :)
I hope you succeed to make your lap that it will be anyway a great lap! :)

Maybe for you... but maybe not for a new possible player of NORH races like Duplode... :)

Sooner or later, it will... It stops about a dozen times during boot/XP loading, then runs for some 3-6 hours before freezing/rebooting or going to a blue screen (I've seen about a dozen diferent ones too), and then remaining very unstable till the next day. At least I can borrow another PC at home, so my situation is not that awful if I get to backup in time and get used to a daltonic monitor (Stunts looks rather sad with gray grass, I tell you).

I know the feeling. I had that same problem with my old PC (grass & water where confusing!)
2nd Checkpoint
Chulk irrupts on the track with a very fast time, but not enough to catch a whole bonus point: I succeed to stay ahead him lowering over 1"50 my previous time! 8) Great outset by Chulk who stops the chronometer at 1'03"80. Predicting a strong time by Chulk and to avoid he could catch too much bonus points, I had lowered yet my time twice: before 1'03"55 and then 1'02"90. ;) Good time for me, enough to defeat the Chulk's attack, but not enough to conquer other bonus points: in fact for only 0"35 I didn't succed to lower my time over 3%, and so I must be content only to limit the score of Chulk. ::) And now it's beginning a new week of race. It's appeare impossible for me I could conquer other bonus points. :-\But sure this is possible for the others, leader permitting, sure...! ;)
Wow! It seems like we approached winning time quite soon in "SMART". Probably winning time is 1'01"XX. So bonus points are almost impossible to catch for Mark. And other drivers won't get many as there is a very low chance for 2 drivers to overtake Mark's time. Of course I'll race hard and try to lead next checkpoint in order to get another bonus point.
Damn ! I raced a few yesterday and I had a 1'03-1'04 time possible but sadly I crashed in the left wall of the very last tunnel due to slide on the dirt road last corner ! :o :'(

Yes, it's not a very hard part but being only at few seconds to the finish, adrenaline makes it more difficult, especially if the race has been fast until here...
3rd checkpoint
Five times in a week, a result like no other since a long time! :) This is the first comment of this week, but it's not the only one to be mentioned, because we are all upright for others two great news: standing ovation for Chulk and his stratospheric 1'01"00 :o and a festive welcome for Duplode, new absolute entry for SDR and NORH race! :) :) :) Yes, the argentinian specialist has been really great, realizing a monster-lap 8) which gives him another whole bonus point and the provisional (definitive?) lead, great! But really a big acclaim too for the brazilian driver who has sent two video in last week reaching a very good 1'05"60 conquering the provisional podium: we sure will hear again about him on this stage! ;) But we have to talk now about two other improvements even if not very large: I lowered my time until 1'02"65 and Krys TOFF until 1'06"10. Both chase the opponent ahead them: will we succeed to catch them? How will it be the final classification? Sure an intense week is waiting all engaged drivers! ;)
"Fantastic" 1:11.20 sent to Mark... ;D
Wow, unexpected twist! ;)
Also, lack of concentration is a pain (though influenza doesn't hep much, I reckon). Guess I'll have just a single last chance before deadline...

Come on, Duplode! ;)
Finish!
A great race constitutes a great garnish for the winner, Chulk, again on the tallest step of the podium! :) Great victory for the argentinian champion who don't need to improve his monster-time in last week: first in every intermediate, fantastic 3rd section (as last race)! 8) And now only 1 point divide him from the vertex in general classification! But behind the winner, all 5 drivers (CTG joined in last week, a very pleasent surprise!) maked really a great race: only 4" between the 1st and the 5th! 8) On the podium, with Chulk, me (2nd, making a very big effort to approach the leader until 0"60) and a big surprise, Duplode: wonderful performance for the brazilian (2"65 his final gap and fastest 2nd section) who conquers his first podium in his first race, a new Lewis Hamilton! :) :) But very good perfomances for Krys TOFF and CTG too, with the french driver who succeed to beat his old hungarian teammate for only 0"40: great challenge and big show between these two great drivers! :) And big show in this NORH race thanks to the participation of all fantastic drivers who are keeping alive this specialty! We hope that all them will take part at next dazzling challenge on board at their Porsche 962: "Abandon"! See you soon with a short description of the track which will be active from the 1st June! ;)
Nice result from Duplode. And :P to CTG. :D
Brillant race, congratulations to all involved! Aside from Krys vs. CTG, the deciding sector was the third one, simpler more pressing in terms of clean cornering... Oh yes, the last-grasp attack of CTG vas very bold 8), reagrdless of actual position!
T?ff was underestimated by me... GRRRRRRR... prepare for the revenge Monsieur Viagra!!! ;D

You underestimate me again : I don't need any pill. ;D :P
Congratulation to Lewis Ham... Duplode! Hope to see you more in NoRH. The contest needs another pipsqueak to fight fo rhte victory.
