Music genres and their connections can be visualized graphically without any problems.

Last.fm users will find this especially interesting, as the website can show -based on your last.fm profile - where your preferences are. Others may also check some of their favourite bands:

http://sixdegrees.hu/last.fm/interactive_map.html

you may also find the non-interactive version interesting with artist names shown:
http://sixdegrees.hu/last.fm/images/lastfm_4096_graph_white_labels.png

Those are cool... if you liked the non-interactive version, you may find this hyperlinked version of the connection map even more interesting: http://pattie.fe.up.pt/i_know_that_artist/

The video makes any comments unnecessary... and the soundtrack is very appropriate too  ::) ;D

If I think over this season, there were only 2 or 3 races when Ayrton's replay seems to be beatable by a 99 percent motivated other top driver.

That seems accurate. Races where Ayrton's lap appear to be beatable include Z80 (as Mark explained), Z84 (if only we got to reach/keep PG after the first loop...) and Z89 (that cork u/d will probably be my one regret for a long while...).

Im looking for some replays from pernament competition. Can someone send me replays?

You could start with Default - many of the top replays for the standard version of the track were made public, as Default was used for Z79. The replays were shipped with Z80 pack, located at http://zak.stunts.hu/arc/zctc80.zip . Those replays will give you a lively display of the wonders of dual-way switching, and then the records on some of the other perm-tracks won't appear to be so unreal...

OK, finally got to do a quick-ish run. Improvements expected... at some point before deadline  ;D And lovely track, Krys!

Edit: Hey, I didn't expect to be leading! Had misread the scoreboard before racing... :D
Edit 2: There's something strange with the leading time accounting - I'm topping the scoreboard but that is not reflected on the LTB counters. Also, I got this strange error message after submission: Column count doesn't match value count at row 1.

I always loved Finnish and Estonian music but this beats it all:

not to mention the dance:

Mind-blowing!  :D How could I ignore these back when you posted? And not to mention you gotta love the phrasing on that second song too - like, how many pop hits titles are quoted?... :D

I think it's called "Camarones" here (Not sure, though). Not a fan of sea product (not even fish). Give me a cow or a pig instead!

Wouldn't shrimp be an alternative English term for this kind of camarones/camarões?
Anyway, I prefer my food not being able to swim or float as well... but I can make an exception for these lil' things on a proper beach setting  :)

This is what Aburaf cooked (barbequed, actually) for New Year. I'd eat that before any other thing! Too bad you will never come to Argentina, you'd really be delighted by our barbequed meat (Asado, as we call it).

that is some Hurka, as we can see on the commercial I linked before here :)
Hurka is great too, but I'd exhcnage it anytime for some seafood ;)

and I ate once Argentinian meat - unforgettable.

Lucky me, having just returned from dinner at a "barbecue house", and now feeling completely appeased and lazy...  :)

Another little thing - I checked the portal and noticed a "high-priority" typo on the news box...

Quote-For pure racist, no replay handling fans Feel The Thrill will start it's new season in January. Stay tuned!

The dual-scoreboard layout looks pretty nice! I was going to object that a 18-month tenure seems too long, but actually that is not a problem - one year and a half guarantees newbies will get at least one nearly complete newbie league season (worst case being nine months split between two years). Therefore, only two questions remain:

  • What happens when the 18-month period ends mid-season? Will the pipsqueak be kicked out of the Newbie League standings or further results will simply stop getting added?
  • What about experienced pipsqueaks returning from long breaks? Will they remain in the Newbie League as well?

Mision Accomplished (How I loved that game!  :'( )

Damn! I planned to wait until 99.99 before sending the time  :D (only in case I could beat it, of course, as I haven't tried the track yet...)
In other news, we have a new NoRH pipsqueak - welcome Goblin! :)

Custom Cars with Stressed / Re: Melange XGT-88
January 07, 2009, 02:02:56 AM
A bit of cross-googling leads us to find this car is a racing modification of the Argentinian Dodge Polara (Alan: please correct us if this is wrong):

Other (old) pics of the standard model for extra inspiration can be found here: http://www.taringa.net/posts/autos-motos/1306591/Test-Dodge-%5DPolara-RT--1974.html .

This 3D model looks cool as well:

A personal observation: I always imagined the Melange not as a full-fledged race car, but more as an classy Grand Tourer, in the style of the 4-seater Ferraris for instance (complete with the rockets and the secret agent gadgets of course  :)). Now I wonder if, exploiting a bit the Stunts low-res models and our imaginations, it is possible to make a race car that looks sleek and elegant like a Grand Tourer...
