OK here I'll always list the new functions implemented.
you can always access the site at
http://stunts.mine.nu/zakstunts/2005 while under development, whenseason 2005 starts it'll be the default page of course.
Beware, this is a development snapshot, I also test on this one, if its working and then not working in the next minute that means I'm coding right at the moment :)
so until now:
-Lots of background, php engine improvements, I'll spare explaining them.
-site-wide login, you only have to do it once after you arrive. (known: bug after login you have to press a menuitem to be fully logged in)
-You can register for the 2005 season
-You can post news
-You can change your desired resolution (effect: newsbar visible or not on the right side) settings are saved of course and used the next time too when you log in.
next jobs:
- latest replays announcement (either in newsbar or welcome page if in 800x600)
- profile editing
- image upload/replay sending
I'll write here if anything is finihsed and you can use it.
Please do some testing for me, and report bugs make my job easier.
Thanks
This first post will always change according to the latest changes.
Isn't time left until deadline based on clock of user's PC? You should use server time and not user's :P
I'm not Akoss Poo
just to give a name to me: The God... :P

 Bad try, Cax!
Done, tested, working:
after login two new menu items:
view profile (work: 70 codelines)
edit profile (work:160 codelines)
where you can edit or modify! your existing profile.
profiles can be also accessed from the pipsqueaks list.
still missing function here: picture upload/change,
News archive now up and working
66 codelines...
monthly scoreboard is working now, with the same functions as last year, plus in advance:
-new pointsystem as proposed in 2005rules topic (can still change)
-time difference from previous replay sent by pipsqueak (if any)
-time difference from leader
245 codelines.
Good to hear you're working hard, ZakStunts site is improving every year, good job.
It sounds great! I'm already looking forward to 2005
done in the past hour:
- 6 latest times sent now appear live on the newsbar or the "latest news" when using 800x600 (72 codelines)
- newsbar/latest news now uses a different algorhtyhm to step between newsposts, so you can theoretically browse the whole archive by pressing 6 news / 6 previous. However for this there is the news archive up and working :)
-bugfix: from scoreboard now you really can access the profiles
-bugfix: from menu now you can go directly to current/previous track's scoreboard
I'm doing a great progress, season/team championship doesnt need big changes, but since I'm migrating to a more secure php setting (register globals=off, wont explain now :) I have to reformat slightly all the existing 2004, 2003, 2002 pages. Not such a big job, only 4-10 lines in each, still work.
news:
-added "2005,info,control" menu header pics
-added and reviewed all the pages which are in the section" info"
-added permanent competition with
-changed scoreboard background colouring to a "fade to black" scheme. You can check out how it'll look like at permanent comp - default track. seasons results will have the same scheme, maybe with a bit bigger fade interval
not strictly related to the 2005 site, but I have reorganized the forum categories :)
little change: I changed the fade to black color fade order at scoreboards at season&team pages, becasue it looks better like this on the green background. This way its rather "fade to green" :)
whoa!
all the menuitems for 2005, info and control are working now!
tomorrow I'll be at home, and I'll modify the 2004,2003,2002 pages to work with ZakStunts 6.0, and then I'll get back to code new functions (pictures, team handling for team manager, automatic podium, etc), but probably from tomorrow the site will be ready to be released :)
"whoa" is the keyword of all this work. Keep up the good work.
today I converted the 2001,2002,2003 pages to be compatible with the 2005 siite, reviewed the code, uniformized the table looks, so now the whole site looks the same. The whole thing took 4 hours.
There is only on buggy page I know of: 2003 season's results. It's quite mysterious, I'll review it again tomorrow.
the site still has only one color scheme, but with the uniformized tables and looks it's easy to set up color schemes - I'll do it later.
Next job: doing the same conversion with the 2004 pages.
Next job: Sending ZCTs 39,40,41,42,43,44 replays to Bonzai Joe :D
But you really seem to have been doing a lot of work, and it sounds like the 2005 site will be great. Good job!
OK, all the pages are converted now!
You can browse on the 2005 site everything, what you can find on the 2004 site, the only difference is that you can register/send replays and data for the 2005 season too.
So please if you want to browse the site, not sending rpl/news, use this address:
http://stunts.mine.nu/zakstunts/2005 and report me the errors, I'll try to correct them, and so we can face the best zakstunts with the start of the next season.
thanks!
Zak
(I'll keep on working of course, new functions will come :))
next: probably checking if I can make a dynamic podium
I like it very much! Congratulations Zak!!
As I wrote before, change time left to deadline from user's clock to server's. Because now I can easily define hours left till deadline and race one track almost forever :D
Today I had a nice 2 hour long battle with The Gimp, and finally I won, and the dynamic podium was born. Check it out on the 2005 site. All the names and rankings are a product of my imagination and have nothing to do with current pipsqueaks :)
Yes, I know the layout kinda sucks, but it's working, and it only needs 1 min to update it every month. Later when we have standardized pictures about everyone, we can place them below the podium. I'll publish soon a know-how abotu the size of the different pics, team logos, etc.
Usrin: still if you volunteer to make the 2004 podiums, I'll be happy (I'll link the music, only draw the pics.)
Do we need to register again in January?
yes, but you can do it now on the 2005site as well
and please register as "Alan Rotoi"
Zak, I sent an e-mail to you with podium pic :)
Could somebody explain me what is the number between parenthesis next to the times in the scoreboard? At 1st sight I guessed it was penalty time but since my time has it I know it isn't.
Ah wait, my brain is working again... It's how much was improved since the previous replay, isn't it?
I think so
Zak: When will you add the new color schemes?
not likely to happen in the near future - most of us prefer this one.
