However, custom cars much more often keep me away from racing.

I forgot to mention that Melange is an exception of course, it still remains the best custom car. Skoda Felicia Kompressor is another exception, but it's not been used as a competition car for long long years (that's a pity).

Well, since the car bonuses determine the car of the track, there is no real advantage. Now I foresee that probably I have to design a track for an unwanted (custom) car.

QuoteSorry I really don't like this track. See you next month....

We won't see its effect at the ratings of the track...

How to take phenomena like this into consideraton when we compare track ratings in the end of the year? Last year I also faced situations like this: I could not rate the track because was not good/enjoyable enough to be raceable. (However, custom cars much more often keep me away from racing... but this is only me...)

I think rating one's own track exerts less error factor than this effect...

And a gold medal today! Hungary is 18th on the medal table! Almost as good as at the Summer Games last year, when Hungary was 15th in the end.

Now two bronze medals for the Hungarian team. Nice for a nation which is only known for summer olympics success, but it could have been more, however, Sándor Liu Shaolin was deprived of his gold medal by the cruel/biased judges today (btw he is half Chinese, half Hungarian, but a Hungarian citizen).

It seems that international travel is becoming easier, and I will probably go to some new countries in 2022. It's time to prepare a list of the countries I've already visited!

Countries where I spent at least a night (sleeping on a bus/train does not count), with the number of nights:
Hungary: ~11000
Norway: ~3500
Germany: ~35
Slovakia: 22 (+countless day trips, so I have certainly spent more time in SVK than in FRA or ROM)
France: 24
Romania: 23
Greece: 13
Sweden: 13
Italy: 11
Poland: 11
United Kingdom: 11 (of which England: 8, Scotland: 3)
Denmark: ~10
Czech Republic: ~10
Austria: 9
Israel: 8
Oman: 8
Slovenia: 8
Albania: 7
Netherlands: 7
Spain: 7
Portugal: 6
Argentina: 5
Belgium: 3

Country I visited for a day trip:
Croatia

Countries I 'visited' only for transit:
Latvia (transfer between flights, not leaving the airport)
Saudi Arabia (stopover on a flight, I did not leave the aircraft)

Countries I have only flown over:
Bahrain
Belarus
Brazil
Bulgaria
Cyprus
Iran
Lithuania
Morocco
Qatar
Turkey
Ukraine
United Arab Emirates
Uruguay

And maybe worth mentioning the countries I have seen from outside, standing close to their border:
Egypt (~30 m)
Jordan (~1 km)
Monaco (~1 km)
Ukraine (~1 km, but it is also in the 'flown over' list)

I have stats a bit different than these, but I'll also list them.

I have a rank which resembles a medal table. A night spent in a country counts as a 'gold medal' (sleeping on a bus/train or in the car doesn't count), a daily trip (which means an intentional visit in that country, even it is not more than 1-2 hours, but no nights spent there) counts as a 'silver medal' and a transit counts as a bronze medal (return transit doesn't count as a new 'medal'). Countries which I've flown over don't count, but I'm also noting them. I don't have the cathegory 'seen from outsite'.

So let me present my table, even if it is not as glorious as Usrin's one.

1 United Kingdom   16   0   0
2 Romania   14   1   0
3 Bulgaria   14   0   0
4 Slovakia   13   89   12
5 USA   13   0   0
6 Italy   12   0   0
7 Croatia   8   4   1
8 Slovenia   7   1   1
9-11 Greece   7   0   0
9-11 Montenegro   7   0   0
9-11 Portugal   7   0   0
12-14 Czech Republic   6   0   0
12-14 Spain (including Canary Islands)   6   0   0
12-14 Norway   6   0   0
15 Poland   5   8   0
16 Turkey   5   0   0
17 Denmark   4   0   0
18-19 Cyprus   3   0   0
18-19 Sweden   3   0   0
20 Austria   2   2   2
21 Germany   0   2   2
22-25 Albania   0   1   0
22-25 Belgium   0   1   0
22-25 Bosnia-Herzegovina   0   1   0
22-25 Switzerland   0   1   0
26 Serbia   0   0   3
27-28 France   0   0   2
27-28 Netherlands   0   0   2
29 North Macedonia   0   0   1

Countries which I've flown over:

30-33 Canada
30-33 Iceland
30-33 Ireland
30-33 Morocco

Greenland can also be mentioned, though it is not a sovereign country.

And let me add a map of Europe where I illustrate these, see attached.

Legend:
red - regular visit ('gold/silver medal')
yellow - transit ('bronze medal')
light blue - only flown over
white - untouched

Sputnik V with a third, booster dose of Western vaccine will make me available to visit a lot of countries, so I will try to collect more 'medals' this year. However, no new country is planned at the moment. Moreover, I only plan the third shot of vaccine around April/May since I had a coronavirus infection in late October-early November 2021. I do not have a certificate of recovery since I did not have a positive PCR test, only a positive rapid test, which is not eligible for that.

For me, Lotus 3 had been in the second half of the 90s the split screen multiplayer par excellence.

All of the mentioned games were played by me in the second half of the 90s. I had my first PC in June 1996. (Between 1988 and 1996, I had a Commodore 64.) FIFA '94 and '96 were also influential.

Ok, so it is probably the very same game I used to play more than 25 years ago. I remember troubles in jumping, too, and also skating was difficult (short track still did not exist, afair). My favourite was biathlon...

Almost sure that this is the same game. The speed skating was also very difficult, yeah, because at some corners, even if we controlled the athlete to the left, it hit the wall at the right. If we slowed down, we managed to avoid the crash, but our time became weak...

Btw some other favourite early DOS games (apart from Stunts, Summer and Winter Challenge): Scorched Earth, Lotus 3, Brett Hull Hockey '95, CD-Man (a PacMan-clone), LeaderBoard Golf...
