Haha excellent! Thanks for checking 🤣

Duplode

To be fair, the LM002 has a significant advantage there due to its good grip on ice. To make it thornier, switch to the Carrera or, harder still, the Thunderbird. (I think I have a reliable strategy for the former, but couldn't make it work yet for the latter.)

Quote from: Cas on April 08, 2024, 08:50:28 PMIf you enjoy track making, we can find a slot for one of your tracks to be in a race. In ZakStunts, we normally reserve these slots at the beginning of the year, so they're all taken this time, but in Race For Kicks, we still can make it. Only you have to take into account it's OWOOT (see https://wiki.stunts.hu/wiki/OWOOT) when designing the track. In live races, maybe, you could also get to post a track, although those are special too.
I'll consider, but no exact promises as I've also been busy modding other games, alongside real-life responsibilities and such. Sounds like an interesting challenge, though, if not a bit complicated (due to the jumps and bumps in track variations that I know of).

Designing for OWOOT races is arguably an easier way to get started, as the rules mean you don't have to plan for shortcuts or the wilder tricks. By the way, your Mandalika track from the opening post is a nice one! It's well-paced, and has some tricky combos that help to keep it interesting all the way. Here goes a Jaguar no-shortcuts demo run  :)

@Duplode, thanks a lot for both the Mecha-Kucha track fix and your Mandalika demo run! I'll check these out soon.

taufan99

@Cas, what do you think of the Mecha-Kucha track? Do you think this is eligible for Race for Kicks, or should I make yet another one instead? Mandalika might be okay for use either way, but I'd be happy to hear from you, sooner or later.

Cas

@taufan99, I made a small modification so the track could run and I tried it. I found it very entertaining, with changes between rally-like and more race oriented sections, so the style is good and compatible with OWOOT, but it's a little long. I recorded 5:13.25 on it with the Jaguar, NoRH, somewhat free-style. I'm uploading the replay. Depending on the car you're considering for the race, I'd say for R4K, it's best to do something in between 1:30 and 2:30. This doesn't mean we can't take it as it is anyway. We've had long races a couple of times!  8)  What car are you thinking of for this track?

Ah yeah, I admit I was kinda overboard doing the track, hence the name. For RfK I might give either a recreation of another Indonesian racing track or an original track with some consideration. Or I can give two (one for each category), but no promises.

Cas

The style of this track is very good, though, and as I said, we have raced long tracks before.

I'm aware of that. Either way, I didn't design the trick with any particular car in mind, so it's more of a skill challenge to me. Celica Integrale might be half-decent, though.
As well, feel free to take my tracks and consider which one(s) to use then.

Round 5 of R4K is being held on Mandalika!  8) I have just posted my first replay at https://www.raceforkicks.com/index.php?page=race&race=2024-05  ;)

Cas

Just posted a replay of my own as well and verified the ones so far!  It's a nice track :)

Thanks a lot! Yeah, I've realized since a few days ago as well.
