Time to revive this topic with a classic.
Remember that ridiculous James Bond bridge jump (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6iksKTURlA)? Remember how fake it looked? That's not because is was fake, that's because it was slowed down.
It was apparently the first car stunt originally conceived on a computer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_with_the_Golden_Gun_(film)), for lack of people that want to develop stunts like this by way of trial and error. The movie producers patented the manouvre just so nobody could use it in a movie before they did. And it ended up looking like that.
So the whole thing is like the "Thomas Salto" of car stunts: impressive feat, used in a ridiculous way (http://www.cracked.com/article_18996_5-reasons-gymkata-funniest-movie-80s.html) (number 3 on that list).
TL;DR: Up!
Slalom blocks! (https://youtu.be/gyV_NeeSVIQ) (Presumably fake, but amusing nonetheless.)
