CARWORKS DISTRIBUTIONS

[1.1] - Released 6 August 2022
New features:
    * Added a manual that can be viewed from within the program like
      in Bliss (2022-08-03)
    * Torque values can now be entered directly by pressing Enter or
the space bar while selecting a point with the mouse or arrow
keys in the physical parameters section (2022-08-05)
    * Scaling with Ctrl+S in 3D editing mode is now official and looks
      more natural (2022-08-05)
    * Ctrl+D can now be used in the Dash Manager speed-o-meter
configuration to toggle digital mode or completely disable the
speed-o-meter. The system properly recognises this (2022-08-05)
    * The speed or RPM value for the current spoke is now displayed
in Dash Manager to aid in calibrating the instruments over the
      graphics (2022-08-05)
Fixed bugs:
    * Moving the needle centre of instruments with C was not working
properly. Eliminated this and instead, the needle centre can now
be selected and moved with the mouse and arrow keys like other
      spokes (2022-08-03)
    * Car project files where not being shown when browsing by file.
      Fixed (2022-08-04)
    * Wheel position detection with Ctrl+B was causing cars to crash.
This problem had started when the car shape was mirrored because
it was being shown inverted. Solved now by reordering the
wheels, which broke wheel generation, but that has been solved
too in the same way (2022-08-08)
    * Auto-shade was not working well also since the shape was
mirrored because the normal range had changed.
      Fixed (2022-08-09)

[1.0.4] - Released 23 September 2021
New features:
    * Support for saving PNG files via FBImage/SOIL/stb_image and Jpeg
      via ImageMagick (2021-08-27)
    * Dash manager 2X/3X zoom toggle on all operation modes, including
editing functions, by pressing Q (2021-09-19)
    * The file manager can now browse full cars instead of individual
car files. This can be toggled with a button and with Ctrl+C at
      the file list screen (2021-09-21)
    * Added Car Project file format (".car") that saves all five car
models, including auxiliary, and keeps all car information in a
      single file (2021-09-23)
Fixed bugs:
    * Clicking on drive names in Windows was doing nothing. Now, it's
doing something, but it's still to be tested if it works as it's
      supposed to (2021-08-27)

[1.0.3] - Released 27 August 2021
New features:
    * A default conversion palette is now included and loaded when the
program starts so that it's no longer required to load a dash
file from another car. You can build from scratch (2021-06-11)
    * Snapping step can be changed now with * and / in the 3D editing
      section (2021-08-26)
    * Snapping step and move mode are now displayed in the information
panel, also in the 3D editing section (2021-08-27)
    * Native support of PNG, JPG and GIF among others has been added
      via FBImage/SOIL/stb_image (2021-08-27)
Fixed bugs:
    * Editing car specification text no longer produces invisible lines
      in the text field (2021-06-11)

[1.0.2] - Released 10 June 2021
New features:
    * Support for drives was added to the file manager for OSs other
      than GNU/Linux
    * Dash elements can now be selected and moved with the mouse
    * Added some temporary indicators for loading and saving
    * Added a rudimentary system for loading and saving whole cars
      at once
Fixed bugs:
    * Directory listing was showing incorrectly (2021-06-07)
Known unfinished details:
    * Load/Save indicators may write past the end of the dialog box
    * When loading and saving whole cars, in GNU/Linux, CarWorks always
assumes lowercase for file names and if some files are not found,
      this is not correctly displayed

[1.0.1] - Released on 26 May 2021
New features:
    * Models can be exported to OBJ
    * A new file handling section has been implemented
    * CarWorks now has a text-based configuration file
    * Integration with stunpack and ImageMagick to support more image
      formats and packed car files
Missing features:
    * No warning or error messages when loading or saving files fails
    * Previously mentioned missing details still persist
Known bugs:
    * When loading packed dashboard files via stunpack, images are
sometimes distorted. However, if the file is unpacked before
      running CarWorks, this doesn't happen

[1.0] - Released on 18 May 2021
Some features:
	* You can load and save all uncompressed Stunts car files,
	  including CAR*.RES, STDA*.VSH, STDB*.VSH and ST*.3SH.
	* You can import Wavefront OBJ shapes individually onto each of
	  the three car shapes
	* Paint-jobs can be automatically generated and, to make this even
more comfortable, there is an auto-shading function
	* Wheels can be generated and their dimensions edited
	* Car collision boundaries can be automatically set
	* Car parameters can be directly edited and those related to the
torque curve can be seen graphically represented and edited on the
	  graph
	* Power gear capabilities are automatically calculated
	* Dashboard images can be moved, deleted or exported to files of
either Targa of BMP format. They can also be imported from those
same formats. Masks are automatically generated from the image
	  alpha channel
	* Steering wheel, speed-o-meter and tach-o-meter spokes can be
configured both individually or by generating them out of an arc
	* The gear box and the positions of the gears can be configured too
Known bugs and missing features:
	* Wheels are still not being rendered in the 3D window, but can be
	  seen in the cuts
	* 3D rendering is buggy and still does not produce grilles
	* The main screen and the file handling functions are currently very
	  limited and crude
	* Editing the car information text will sometimes produce invisible
text, which becomes visible after pressing Enter
	* Many things that could be done with the mouse still require the
keyboard and there are many key shortcuts that demand the user to
read the manual to have access to all features
