Title: Kassa (USC 48)
Post by: CTG on May 23, 2007, 09:19:32 AM
Krys Toff, Porsche March Indy - great combination of designer and car. Prepare for the high speed and powergear control!

As usual, spy satellites captured the line of the track. ;)

I think the current league leaders will love it - and since there's no Bonzai Joe and Dottore, more and more drivers have the chance to win!

When there's no BJ, Ayrton or Gutix, Indy + powergear = Mark victory. But I think Aburaf can be podiumer in this track as he did with kalpen2007a. He is good now with the indy.

I expect a great race from Krys Toff and CTG too.

Due to the sudden start of UnskilledStunts League, summer races of USC will be about 40-50 days long. It makes the situation easier, you won't be that pressed with deadlines.

Good to know. I was wondering how to keep up with Zak's, USC, SDR (Both RH and NoRH), Kalpen & Stunts league.

On the other hand that two USC tracks will be quite short (under one minute) - less work. :)

Do like me : I race WSC too, and I can race them all. Only 30 minutes to 1 hour per track per month, that's enough to reach correct tresults and not too much to make me feel tired of Stunts. All those who stopped racing : Alain, Alan Rotoi, Gutix, Roy, Argammon, ... Progressively they got tired of Stunts. That's because they were spending a lot of hours for each race. I do that very very rarely. Last month I spent 2 hours just for Kalpen track, and more than 1 hour for SDR noRH track just for the last week ! A record for me since mid 2003.

When I joined the community, I raced a lot. 2 or 3 hours per week. 3 competitions (ZS, ISA/IRC and StuntsLOL in these days). It was mid 2002, and it lasted until mid 2003 when I started to feel tired of Stunts. Instead of continuing racing like Hell, I decided to slow down and left Orion team at the end of 2003. I decided to race all tracks for the fun and focus on the tracks only when I want, only when I like them. Else, 30 minutes per track is enough per month. Even for winning like I did at SDR last month.

Stunts must not be an obligation. As long as it stays a fun, then it's the best game in the world. Happy racing everyone. :)

I totally agree with you Krys. I race for fun, and only race hard when a I really like track (Like Z75). The competition I spent more time in is SDR NoRH because it's pure, non correction racing!

Argammon, ...

Nope, he raced only 1 minute on 2 minute long tracks and did all the tricks. ;D (Argammon was the biggest liar so far, I guess he really spent heavy hours with single tricks, such as Alain ;D)

And the track...

Track name: Kassa (for the slovakian minority: Kosice)
Track designer: Krys Toff
Car: Porsche March Indy
Difficulty: 3/5
Predicted winning time: 50.00
Deadline: 22nd July 2007, midnight

I don't have time for a site update before I leave but here is the opening result: Mark L. Rivers started with a great 1:00.25! I haven't seen such a great beginning for ages (in USC), I guess it will be hard to beat.

This morning, it hasn?t been funny to know that my leading time was been beaten last Saturday in the morning, almost 48 hours before?  So today I?ve raced with an unusual ?determination?. This explains why, after less than 3 days from start, I?m already under predicting winning time?

Btw usually I can't update between 10 am Saturday and 6 pm Sunday because I spend most of my weekend at home where I don't have internet (weekdays: university, hostel).

Krys: you have the right settings now, why don't you fight for the podium? You are powergear master, aren't you? (And you have to show up something better than your first three races performance :))
Title: Re: Kassa

Bad news: my replay can't be recorded, the usual wet Indy track thing happens (remember Usrin's Plus 3 from 2002): car crashes or falls into water, but rewinding from the end of the replay the bug disappears. I think I'll cut the video from the two parts.

Usual reply...
And now you still have 39 days to overtake me...  But I'm sure you won't wait so long time, even if your up arrow key has some problem...  ;)

I don't stand a chance against Mark or CTG with Indy here. I'll fight for the podium to stay ahead in the overall standings.

Incredible time from Mark, I mustn't hide my very old 46.xx anymore. How could he cut the slalom-corner-bridge corner part?!?
Title: Re: Kassa
Post by: CTG on June 13, 2007, 11:01:01 PM
Okay I won't beat it now. Official reason: I have no time/mood/will to overtake Mark.

Real reason: I can't. I know how to do it, but I'm unable to do that damned cut.
Title: Re: Kassa
Post by: CTG on June 13, 2007, 11:25:33 PM
Bonzai Joe: you have to come back, nobody can beat Mark with Indy, maybe only you! :)
Title: Re: Kassa
Post by: Chulk on June 13, 2007, 11:29:46 PM
Maybe Alan Rotoi? I heard he's very good with Indy
Title: Re: Kassa
Post by: CTG on June 13, 2007, 11:32:28 PM
It's more chanceful to see Bonzai Joe racing again than Alan Rotoi. On the other hand Rotoi was the master of IRC rules, BJ is better in powergear handling.

My 46.40 replay, only a single cut is missing (almost done, quite hard without good arrow keys). Check it! ;)

I'll watch it after I give Kassa a track! Looks impossible to beat Mark though
Title: Re: Kassa
Post by: CTG on June 19, 2007, 10:01:54 AM
Not impossible. The cut I missed is hard but  with some luck it can be completed.
Title: Re: Kassa
Post by: Chulk on June 19, 2007, 03:42:37 PM
It seems impossible to me. My Indy skills are not at its best right now. Remember I had Abu's replay for ctracka and couldn't even copy it. Not to mention being faster.

Mark is collecting LTB hours without any fight against us... Bigger question is: who will be second?

If you were kidding that wasn't obvious to everyone. Especially not to the new pipsqueaks who don't know me. I just don't like to be dissed like that....

So, I would be happy if you would abstain from that in the future  8)

I don't think so, Argy's best cars are LM002, Lancia, Audi or Countach, not IMSA cars or indy.
Mark is one of the very few flying indy masters. :D

Maybe my first reply was a bit to emotional :D. Anyways I wasn't like CTG said...

Krys: that is partly right... replace the Lancia with the Corvette or the GTO. The Acura is also ok ;)
Title: Re: Kassa

Only you can make it 1" faster, so don't worry about it. BTW, how many leading hours and bonus did Mark collect already?
Title: Re: Kassa
Post by: CTG on July 13, 2007, 08:45:31 AM
More than 600 ---> +3 LTB. Incredible.

But the sad thing is that Mark's megareplay demoralised other pipsqueaks and turned USC in total inactivity. Okay, maybe it can be explained with the intensive USL contest too. :D

For me, it's due to USL mainly.
I'll have more time starting from next monday, my parents-in-law will leave with my 2 young children.
This week-end will be hard for me to race any competition... :-\

"just lucky"  says the one who had mark's replay all the month and made nothing out of it.

Why the heck do you envy/hate/??? me so much?

Let me celebrate my victory a bit. Of course Mark is a great driver with the indy and the others like Dottore and you are no peanuts either.

But I really don't like all this "just luck" talk. It's below your level.

Think about it...

Thanks for your congratulations, Argammon. I want to report here my comments about your win published few days ago in ZakStunts "Forum":

"Really congratulations, Argammon! I know your skill after reading past races' results, and I'm happy to race against you for the first time... even if I would be more happy if your Indy skill was a bit lower... ;) "

I simply want to add that, after watching the replays, you was faster than me in every section of the race. Your win is really deserved. Again congratulations.

Nice replay from Arg but I must say that Mark did not expect any attacks on this track. Especially not from you who played only once in USC several months ago.

First of all let me thank you Mark. You are really a honorable driver.
BTW, I have read the whole post from Mark before it was edited. (which was about 3 times as long as it is now).

I know you think you overreacted and that's why you editied it. But I think you were right on many points.

And towards CTG. I don't need anyone here to keep me on earth. I can probably judge my skills better than anyone else here. People who think I just raced a selective number of tracks because the other cars or tracks did not suite me.

Yeah some myth are hard to kill. My selections were purely due to private reasons not having anything to do with my stunts skills.

To prevent further misunderstandings. Yes, I acknoledge that there are other top drivers and there have been. But I have been able to compete with them nearly throughout my whole carreer. And if you don't like that I am happy about it CTG.

Sorry for you!
