Why? Just because of the headbutt incident? :D
The others are okay.

He had another incident on the '98 World Cup when he was sent off against Saudi Arabia.

Töfting
That name still sounds funny. If I ever get a pig, I'll call it Töfting. ;D
John Terry !!! I can't stand him. I like almost all other football players.

:D How many times have I told the story about when I played football with him?
Not Maradona...
From Hungarian championship: Vendel Hornyák, the Pigsticker ;D

I think if we don't mean 'jerk' as an agressive/brutal player, Maradona should really be added. That certain handball moment, and especially the heavenly celebration by him makes him deserve a 'Jerk on the football field' title. ;D

Why Maradona? He may have had mistakes outside the field, but on the field he was definitely not a jerk...
Well, you answered while I asked... but I don't think that makes him a jerk. He just outsmarted the ref, I don't think that's being a jerk. It falls under the same category of faking a foul or wasting time when a player is being subbed.
It's just my opinion, what do the others think?
What do I think about Maradona?

When you close the voting for player addition, I'll choose the three names. It will be really hard to choose, however, there are some players on the list who I like. ;D
Maradona is a jerk before and after the 90 minutes. The rest of the time... is GOD.
The jerk of the year is "Injusticia" Ronaldo (unjustice Ronaldo)

I've voted!!! It was difficult to choose, since almost everybody on the list should have deserved a vote. ;D
I would vote for Gravesen xD
I guess Veron was a jerk on the field and Bilardo is probably the biggest jerk in football history...

Hey, lay off the bald Danish people.
I think after his performance in the last round of the Premier League, Joey Barton also deserves a spot in this poll...
I just discovered this butcher... ;D
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerardo_Bedoya
Quote from: wikipediaBedoya has the ignominy of being the professional footballer with the most red cards to his name. In the Bogota derby between Independiente Santa Fe and Millonarios on Sunday, 23 September 2012, he received his 41st red card in a professional game, being sent off for the elbow and subsequent kick to the head aimed at Millonarios player Jhonny Ramirez. The offense also got him suspended for the next 15 matches.
Bedoya played in Racing and Boca here in Argentina. I guess Alan has a nice memory of him as he was in Racing roster when the won the Primera A title after 35 years, back in 2001.
Also, this guy was a bit violent too...

(What he does to Gascoigne is brilliant!)
