Title: Track converter and viewer
Post by: Matei on May 28, 2024, 05:47:38 PM
They are in the attached file, instructions inside (as I understand, everyone here uses GNU/Linux).

MD5: 231ff697b37cb3e1cf3b815e2a128fad

And what do you know, these tracks already work with simcar-5.2.0, from here:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/simple3d/

No rocket yet, but if you set the parameters of car1 to some unrealistic values, it might make a few jumps.

[edit]When I try to download, it says "File not found", but the file appears to be there. If it doesn't work I will put in on my site, but it's not quite 100% ready yet.[/edit]

I see "downloaded 4 times", which suggests it might not work, but I guess the administrator(s) of the forum should have access to the file. Where is everybody?

Download works fine
QuoteWhere is everybody?
It's a weekday before the end of a ZakStunts race.
Those with time are racing, others are working.

Off course, some may be just ignoring you. Still, 6 downloads already. Not bad in such short time in a small community.

Most of the downloads are mine, because I checked to see if it works. Could be 4 or 5, I don't remember, because I mostly saw the error message, but I also managed to download it a few times.

No, not everyone uses Linux. Myself, I like Linux, but it hates me. Keeps breaking down on me because I think in a Windows system way. Not ideal but that's what I'm used to.
So I stick with windows for the time being.

QuoteIf we use my game, which, with some help from Mr. Cas, will also feature tracks from Stunts soon.

It does now. I understand that no one likes me here, the reasons being explained, as usual, on my site (https://matei.one/osgod.html#beginning).

QuoteIf the truths are sufficiently impalatable, our audience is psychically incapable of accepting them and we will be written off as [...]

However, this happens to me everywhere, so it's not a problem. I understand that the people here (besides me), not being particularly smart, are not interested in any game in which the car doesn't move exactly like in Stunts and I won't make any more comments on that, but if you want to promote Stunts, i.e. get more people interested, I estimate that a good game based on it might not be a bad thing. Since I will use your tracks, I will give you some publicity. The question is which type of publicity and this why I started writing here, contrary to what I wrote some time ago, because I wanted to be sure. Anyone?

Don't fool yourself because you are not fooling anyone here either. You don't care about publicity or anything else you say, you are here only to leech tracks because you are too lazy / lack imagination to create your own

Quote from: Matei on May 30, 2024, 08:27:34 PMI understand that the people here (besides me), not being particularly smart...
And you wonder why nobody likes you anywhere? I guess you're not particularly smart either

I won't "leech" any tracks, I will give a link to this site, with the appropriate explanations. I'm very careful about how I distribute everything and these tracks, unlike mine (yes, I made a few, along with 2 games to go with them), are not labelled anywhere as free.

Again you choose to insult a whole community. And with such a stupidly wrong statement it's clear who's the smartest here

@Moderator, Please ban this troll. Forever.
I've had enough of his toxic manners.

Much to my dismay, it seems that a few obvious things have to be written down explicitly:

The two threads will be locked for 72 hours, and Matei will be suspended for the same interval. Those actions are expressly for the sake of stopping the cycle of insults and goading. If you feel like restarting or encouraging that, in any way: don't.
