Title: The secret of Bernies
Post by: CTG on June 13, 2002, 01:00:00 AM
Is there anybody who knows the trick of Bernies? I tried various things and I'm working on it for months, but I can't understand the 22 secs difference between Bonzai Joe and me. The only thing I know: using power gear is not enough on this track. It means only about 10 seconds... If you know the secret of the track, please help me!

I know

And I suggest a trade... if you tell me (not on the forum)how you got 1.38.90 on Bernies Closed, I'll tell you how I got 1.07.50 on Bernies. Remember, it's US against the tracks!

Well, if it's impossible to do with auto trm. then I'm not very interested in that secret...   And I don't want to loose my first place on Bernies Closed   And what about Skids? There's a little trick on it. Have you found it? (not a shortcut...)

It is impossible with auto transmission...

I think you should try to learn to drive with manual. 15 months ago I would never ever drive with manual transmission, now I always do except if I just want to relax...

I try it since 1998, but I cannot drive faster with it. I'm unable to concentrate on the gears and on the track in the same time. I need both of my hands to steer the car. I wanted to give up auto trm. using so I tried a new style: I used the auto trm. but I pushed the arrows only with one hand... (I think this is the first step if you want to learn how to use manual). This style was much more slower   in spite of the fact that I practised it 2 months long. So it's hopeless to learn manual for me... : -->:">

I use the right hand for speeder, brake and right turn. I use the left 2nd finger (the one beside the thumb you know  ) to turn left, left little finger to shift up (Space) and left middle finger to shift down (Enter) Maybe you should try that also

Is it possible to setup the keyboard? Because the gear-lever is the A and Z button on this PC...
