Mine in chronological order:
-Street Rod on C64 (always a bit after school, it was a very long time ago.)
-Super Mario Land 3 on NES (played it through about 10 times, each one was continous 5-8 hours)
-Transport Tycoon Deluxe on PC (I had a year, when I played it almost daily, maybe more than stunts, lots of training, strategies, and competitions, love this game)
-Civilization series on PC (1-8 hours many times)
-Might and Magic 6 on PC (about a week playtime, I`ll start MM7 in the summer. >
-Stunts on PC (I guess more than a month from my life.
My brother is playing a game in championship managaer 3 season 01-02, it`s his third game he began, he began it in november, there is a counter in it, and it shows he had played more than 6 days (only playing time). Incredible...
I`m sure I spent more time playing with computer games, than with learning. ))
And even more I spent riding my bike.
Zak
Yes Sir
TransportTycoonDeluxe is a great one, especially with the update where you can have almost 40.000 vehicles!!!
Civilisation 1,2 also not bad.
Another important game was GrandPrix 1,2,3 and Insane(=cool OffroadGame, where you can also drive a WARTBURG and many other ones www.invictus.hu (you see a hungarian game and not a bad one)).
Naturally Stunts.
In the last time ActionSuperCross(renamed to Elastomania(www.elastomania.com)or look at Zak's GamesSection) it's really cool.
But at the moment a new star under the games is born to me: TRAIN-SIMULATIONS, especially TRAINZ (www.trainz.com) I just have a Demo at the moment, but when it's released i think i'll buy it. If you dont have the money for model-trains, this is a great alternative.
But i still wait for a real driving simulation (this means exact graphics, driving behavior(I dont want to accelerate from 0 to 100 in 3-5 s, I want to need 15-20 s like in real life, i want to drive not only ferrari and lamborghini and stuff like that, i want to drive my loved Golf II Turbo Diesel), and i also want to have real crash and damage behavior, and i want to be able to use all functions of the car by myself(light, wiper, radio, seatradiator,... like in TestDrive3)).
Don't waste your time, play more games instead.
The VERY best of them:
Stunts
Civilization I
Civilization II
Monkey Island I
Monkey Island II
King's quest, Space quest, Larry, all of them
Starcraft
Colonization
Need for Speed 3
First of all I have to tell you that I don't have an own PC so I couldn't play very much like, but I spent more time playing then learning- like Zak (Hungarian students are too lazy? ).
My favorites are:
Transport Tycoon Deluxe (once I played 18 hours without having a rest!)
Mortal Kombat II (Baraka rulez!)
World Cup 98, FIFA 2000 (Unfortunately I couldn't play enough these games)
Lotus (easiest simulator game)
Age of Empires (THIS IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!)
and of course STUNTS!

Transport Tycoon Deluxe (once I played 18 hours without having a rest!)
TTD is still addictive, 18 hours record is almost broken. 20 hours with smaller eat/drink/WC breaks. ;D
I hope you did that with OpenTTD which is a lot more fun opposed to the original!
- Stunts 1.0
- Stunts 1.1
- Virtual Skipper
- The longest Journey, Syberia, Paradise
- Worms III and IV,
- Warcraft 2
- Rampart
- Ports of Call
- Wing Commander
- Happy Computer People
- (...)
8)
No, it was the original.
I think everybody spents more time playing than learning until you reach a certain age (about 22 or 23 years old maybe?)
- World Cup Soccer in NES (playing with my 2 brother we spent every weekend night when I was about 8)
- Stunts of course
- Command & Conquer: Red Alert (I once played from 9 am of Saturday to 4 am of Sunday (with small pauses to go to the bathroom) when my parents where on holidays and only stop to watch Japan F1 GP which was just starting, and ate something while watching it as I was starving!
- Papyrus Indycar racing (I love it!)
- Monkey Island I (I don't like MI II that much)
- Mortal Kombat II in SNES (I fought against Noob Saibot 5 times with Sub-Zero and twice with Kitana)
- I'm now playing Age of Empires III, The WarChiefs expansion (I really liked precious AoE but I couldn't play them in my old computer :'()
- And finally Street Fighter II Champion edition is the one I played most in arcades.
Well, I have a lot of games to mention.
On C64 (1988-1996): Night Mission (great pinball game always played on family parties, Commando, Loderunner, Krakout P (with my father), Gianna Sisters (probably my favourite one, with friends, alone etc.), Buggyboy (often with classmates), Slapshot Hockey, USA Football (I don't know if it was its original name, but it was a soccer game), Leapfrog, Chopper, Aztec Challenge (how annoying the first stage was...), Speed King (with my uncle and with my family), Gyruss, Neptuns (eternal classic with my uncle), Olympic Skier, Styx Z, Wizard of War (against my uncle and my parents) etc. (there was a game where we had to shoot ships, the small and fast ones were the most valuable, I can't remember its name :), but also a favourite one)
On PC (1996-, in chronological order): Scorched Earth (eternal classic, probably I was as good in this game as in Stunts, always beat all of my friends), Test Drive 2, GPC, Lotus III (against friends we played it a lot) CD-Man, Mortal Kombat II, Mortal Kombat III, Stunts (without any comment), Summer Challenge, Winter Challenge (great tournaments against friends), FIFA '94 (great matches against friends), FIFA '96 (great matches against friends), Warcraft, Pinball Fantasies (greatest pinball game of all time), Brett Hull Hockey '95, FIFA '97, Duke Nukem 3D (the one and only Doom type game I liked), NHL '97, Psycho Pinball, Heroes of Might and Magic II, Nascar Racing, Worms+, Kingpin Bowling, Warcraft II, NHL '98, World Cup '98 (classic one, played with a friend of mine after afternoon bike riding), Need For Speed, Transport Tycoon Deluxe (as everlasting classic as Stunts and as Scorched Earth could be if it had been available on better CPUs), FIFA '99 (my favourite FIFA game, lot of custom teams and players - like in all of the FIFA games), Heroes of Might and Magic III, Need for Speed III (classic one), NHL '99, FIFA 2000, FIFA 2001, Need for Speed Porsche (favourite car racing game), NHL 2001, Colin McRae Rally II, FIFA 2002, NHL 2002 (the Pittsburgh Penguins consisted of my friends, and of beautiful girls, and beat everybody in all of the NHL games mentioned so far), Rise of Nations, NHL 2006 (in the dormitory, against my roommate, oh, how he hated to play against me).
Nowadays rather table football (and msn) than PC games...
TOP 10 of all PC games (time spent playing with it, as far as I'm trying to remember, series are on the list only with the most popular episodes)
1 Stunts
2 Transport Tycoon Deluxe
3 Scorched Earth
4 Need For Speed - Porsche
5 FIFA '99
6 NHL '98
7 Heroes of Might and Magic II
8 Summer Challenge
9 Mortal Kombat III
10 Pinball Fantasies
I had forgotten about Doom (I and II)! Thanks Akoss for reminding me.
I never play computer games anymore... Even before my arm injuries, I played nothing except Stunts. I don't know, I just don't find it interesting anymore!
I remembered THE game I spent most time playing with:
The legend of Zelda: a link to the past (in SNES). I was hard to complete it and I played it when I was 8 or 9 and I didn't know much English at that time so I mainly guided by the few words I understood, which made it even harder!
Difficult for me to choose games...
All support and all time favorites :
- Stunts
- Civilization II
Other games I like a lot and play regularly :
- ToCA/DTM Race Driver games
- Forza Motorsports (sadly I don't have money to buy X-Box 360 and Forza 2...)
- Burnout and FlatOut games
- Qix/Stix (simple and efficient, a must-have of classic video games, more classic than Pac-Man or frogger for me)
- Trailblazer 1 & 2 (named Cosmic Causeway)
...
That's strange : I have a C64 too, but liked almost none of the game Akoss mentionned except Night Mission pinball and Stix.
My C64 favorites are Trailblazer 1 & 2, Qix/Stix games, Defender of the Crown, Arkano?d 2 (revenge of Doh), Bomb Jack, Boulder Dash 1 to 3, International Karate +, Bruce Lee, Green Beret, Summer Games 1 & 2 and Winter Games by Epyx, Cauldron 2, ...
For playing with a friend, Spy vs Spy 1, 2 & 3 are the best with a C64.
For info about C64, one of the best computer in computer history :

I can't really put them in chronological order.
Games I competed online ; my comment on it
-Stunts ; Yes it was fun despite replay handling.
-Civilization 2,3 ; It was fun for a while, that's it. Top 10 for a while.
-Age of Wonders 1,2 ; That one suited me well. (Best/one of the 2 best) player for a long period.
-some small arcade games/chess ; not worth mentioning
-probably something I forgot about ::)
Games which were fun and I compete online:
-Fallout serious
-Jagged Allience serious ; especially deadly games against friends :D
-Master of magic ; old classic to me
-Various racing games ; but usually not alone only against friends....
There are many more which I most played at LAN-Parties or against friends. Many of them are on Akoss list for example ;D.
I didn't play much single player games as I prefered competition against human players. But even that has decreased significantly in the last 5 years.

Why don't you try SDR noRH competition (video recording with DOSBox to prove noRH racing).
Check the Stunts portal and join. ;)
But it's Indy now, he hates Indy. ;D
Yes, it's Indy now but not always so he could join. Besides this NoRH track doesn't have much PG.

Update. I spent a lot of time with these games in the last 10 years:
Racing1, Stunts - RH, RH, RH... too much time!
2, Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed - as for me, this is the best racing game ever; remember the online battles (Argammon, Zak, Alain, CTG)
3, EA F1 2002 - the only weakness is the stupid AI, it is too easy to overtake them; 1995 mod is also great
4, Network Q Rally - the good old Windows 98 era, great races with Akoss Poo
5, Lotus III (The Ultimate Challenge) - primitve and addictive, you just can't quit :)
6, Need for Speed I - Autumn Valley sucks!
7, Sega Rally Championship - funny one with Lancia Delta Integrale / Toyota Celica and boost handicap; we played a lot with Böbszlee
8, Colin McRae Rally 2 - cracked version, not working properly (only on my old, very slow computer with low graphics)
9, Drag R.acer v3 - primitive online game at addictinggames.com
Football games1, FIFA 2000 - simply the best! MTK Budapest with Béla Illés won everything... :D And the cheat functions (alien attack, giant players, lightnings) were really funny.
2, FIFA 98 (Road to World Cup) - all national teams with a huge database of players, indoor matches... gameplay is a little bit slow for me, probably it's the fault of emulation
3, FIFA 2009 - good graphics, stupid jokes in commentary, "Barbie style" player edition (but you can't change their weight!), limited number of custom teams, too schematic goals and annoying c.r. in ManUtd. A good game anyway, especially with the Hungarian championship patch.
Fighting games1, Mortal Kombat II - "Baraka wins! Flawless victory! Fatality!" :D It's damned hard to beat Kintaro and Shao Kahn. Wise man says AICULEDSSUL.
2, Mortal Kombat I - Goro is no opponent for Sonya Blade, but I suggest to use Sub Zero in the final fight.
3, 4D Boxing - AI names are... LOL :D
4, Electric Man 2 - stickdeath type game at addictinggames.com, it's worth to try!
Strategy games1, Transport Tycoon (Deluxe) / Open TTD - I don't say anything. "Exit to Windows" in every 10 hours. ;D
2, Age of Empires - it was long-long time ago, but I still remember how great it was.
3, Heroes of Might and Magic I - epic battles in the hostel versus two schoolmates (2001/02)
Other games1, Google Earth Flight Simulator - no comment. It's fun.
2, Who wants to be a millionaire? - we have a good Hungarian PC game version
3, Pinball (Windows version) - another addictive one
4, Szakadt csöves '88 - I guess it says nothing to non-Hungarian pipsqueaks. How could I cathegorize this game? :D :D :D
And not mentioning the other online games (receptura, jatek.hu, etc.)...
Lots of favorites and big timewasters from CTG's list:
Stunts
Transport Tycoon
4D boxing
Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge
also to add:
Pizza Tycoon
Tie Fighter
F1 Grand Prix 2
Doom 1/2
Super Mario Bros 3 (NES)
Street Rod (C64)
Snake (Nokia :)
but in the past 2 years, I don't really play any PC game besides Stunts. If I have more time, I launch an Amiga/C64 emulaltor or an old LucasArts roleplay game

Oh, how envious I am now! I always wanted to try this game.
I had this early on my winchester for a while, but I could not start it (probably a file was missing), so I deleted the game.
I liked Heroes II the most, then Heroes III (good enough), IV was also tried and found not good enough. So the earlier versions proved to be the better ones.
Unfortunately, I can't download Heroes I from anywhere without a fee, and I have a cracked version of Heroes II, so my Dosbox always shouts for a CD in the drive (what to do, there is already a virtual drive set for the game itself)... So only watching some Youtube videos remains for me (the soundtrack of HMM II is different there from my own version of the game, and the new sound blaster cards also sound differently)...
Me and my friends played HMM II and III many times (multiplayer hot seat game, our alliance against computer alliance) in the past.
About Szakadt Csöves: you're a homeless in the streets of Budapest in the '80s. Gypsies are on the street against you and you are also wanted by the police. You have to avoid meeting them or you can also beat them. The task is to collect money to go to have a party somehow and forget all the sh*t you have in your life. You can buy alcohol to increase your energy level impaired during your fights, and there's also glue as a drug to optimalize your reaction time. You can steal or ask for money to get it, but there's a risk of getting beaten in this case. You can rape girls on the street, but this is a dangerous movement, too. There's no graphics, only movement directions and acts to be chosen, this is a 'text game'. You can fulfil the real task if you want, but the real goal of the game I think is to find all the hilarious comments you can get on the screen (said by the gypsies, the peasant, the skinhead, the old b*tch etc.). Eternal classic. ;D :o 8)

I think HMM I vs II is something like MK I vs MK II, TT vs TTD or Stunts 1.0 vs 1.1. The first one is a great basic concept, followed by a better version. And somehow the third one is usually worse...
Stunts
Civilization
Civilization II
On the phone:
DoodleJump
X2 Football
For the last two years Stunts has been about the only game I play with any regularity. That being said, some other perennial favourites:
Gran Turismo 2
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
Championship Manager '03-'04
Winning Eleven 2000 U23, in a hacked flavour converted to '00 Brazilian league
SimCity 3000
Age of Empires II
Final Fantasy Tactics (I don't think describing it as "the Stunts among RPGs" would be an exaggeration)
Final Fantasy VIII (replayed it to the end in 2009 after many years, and enjoyed every minute)
Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic
Chronologically the list stops at 2004 - I never bought a console to replace my first-gen Playstation, and was not bothered enough to keep up with the technological advances of PC gaming for the last half decade or so.
I did forget Lands of Lore and Little Big Adventure 2. oth great games and played them a couple of times from start to end :)
I remember Little Big Adventure! (not the sequel though). Very unique adventure/action/rpg mix.

I've never tried Playstation, only PC. As for me, keyboard is the best controller unit.
I remember playing Stunts with steering wheel at HSM 2003 / WSM 2004. ;D

Nope.
I'm intrigued... what is it?
One or two steps forward, then jump + low kick, when he's approaching. Kintaro hits so slowly there...
It's basically the same jump kick thing I first mentioned, only hitting when while going up...
Quote from: Chulk on December 12, 2011, 03:32:15 AM

The only difference: you suggested to attack Kintaro right after a successful hit/kick (when he can't defend himself). My version is to use his weakness during his own attack: in 80 percent of the cases he'll try to hit you, when you are too close. Result is the same. :D
Fighting against Shao Kahn is simply disgusting. I hate Mileena.
If you hate Mileena, the other easy way to beat Shao Kahn is to play as Liu Kang an use his low fireball all the time. Most of the times, Shao Kahn will throw his green arrow and Liu will crouch under it and shoot his own fireball.
The game I spent the most time on is Lineage 2 :-\

AICULEDDSUL FOR EVERYBODY :)
Codemasters F1 game is really disappointing. Few weeks ago I tested F1 2010, it's simply BAD. The only aspect with positive result was the music: Watercolour (Pendulum) became one of my favorite songs.
guys i am almost crying, remembering how much fun i had with all these games from the past.. especially with albion (it took whole year of my life to complete that monster), baldur's gate 2 (another 10 months?) + series. (uff.. we talk about these two games with my friend up to date)
I am surprised - no quake, commander keen, total war, duke nukem, winter/summer challange, ceasar, worms? i also liked little fighter 2 as we played mainly hotseat multiplayer.
my shoolmates living in a school hostel (how is it called?) still play age of empires 2 in a big style :) the famous quote to a girl who called them to a party: "hey partying is for gays, age is for real men!"
i had all-nighter in gaming many times, mostly with my friend and heroes 3..
surprisingly i've never played stunts so much.
That sounds great - except for the Age of Empires players. That sounds a bit sad :-)
I also played Commander Keen (in order of time I spent on them: (4,6,,,,,,,dreams,,,,,,,,,5,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,1,,,,2,3)). Lise and I used to have contests about finishing Keen 4 and 6 quickly. Lise's record for Keen 4 is 14 minutes 48 seconds. It's pretty damn good (but of course some Korean kids on the internet have done it faster).
Winter Challenge and Summer Challenge were also great fun - at least if you liked pressing the Enter button a lot. Worms: sure, but I already consider that a different era.
Then there were the adventure games... Monkey Island, King's Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Gold Rush, Space Quest, Police Quest and of course Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders (which I never completed).

Lands of Lore Throne of Chaos? loved it!
True Love? I know Bonzai Joe also played this nice game :))

Don't forget the Kirandia's trilogy ;)
Open TTD will be downloaded tonight - again. 8)
I am playing lately on our Wii regularly. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 11 is a completely different kind of game than the original series, but it is quite fun.
Also like Mario Kart. Trackmania did not grab me.
From the non-racing genre, I play Super Mario (of course!) and several fitness games.
Subarctic scenario is completed, let's move to the desert!
Recently I re-played a very old game, actually the first game I really liked when I was a kid - Captain Comic from 1988. In my memory it was long and winding, but these days it was actually a bit short. It wasn't easy though, as I had feared, and the pixelated backgrounds were very, very beautiful. I think there was a time around 1988-1992 when screen resolution in computer games made for beautiful and enchanting pictures which stay in the brain.
