Let's see my tips:

1,  Alan Rotoi (he can beat his student/ghost easily with half power too)*
2,  Bonzai Joe (he'll take it seriously but he must discover his main opponent again)
3,  Gutix (the second best driver of South America)*
4,  Alain (will find some motivation, but he isn't ready to fight Rotoi again)
5,  Akoss Poo (Laura makes him slower... :P )
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6,  Usrin (remember Z39, he was GOOD on that)
7,  Zak McKracken (I only hope he'll race more seriously)
8,  CTG (I'll leave out some weeks, let's make a modest tip - I'll finish higher - or I hope I will)
9,  Krys Toff (first prestige match in ZSC2005 with CTG victory... :D)
10, Dark Chaser (the new CTG... or not? Skills are similar to my late 2002- early 2003 performance)

* - kidding :)

1. Alan Rotoi
2. Gutix
3. Argammon (he may be 4th too)
4. Bonzai Joe (he may be 3rd too)
5. CTG
6. Ayrton
7. Alain
8. Chulk
9. Zak
10. Dark Chaser

And about Gutix I think he is the best pipsqueak right now. He reached the Roy Wiegerinck level.

Nowadays top7 (Akoss, Alan, Alain, Argammon, BJ, Gutix and me) is a lot faster then Roy was in 2002...

Gutix is:

- top3 driver with all the cars
- probably the best replay handler at the moment
- expert in finding and improving tricks/shortcuts
- strong mediorce driver in motivation to max out replays (although sometimes he wins without maxing it out - compensates with own tricks)
- mediorce driver without RH
- still beginner in tactics (think on some lost USC races and the IMSA QF)

In overall: Gutix is the 3rd pipsqueak ever seen on my subjective list.

The list at the moment (best twelve - without the good old pipsqueaks I never saw in action like Nailwood) - this is about talent and all the skills (not only the current times - in that cathegory most of us would make a lot better result then Roy or CAP):

1, Bonzai Joe
2, Alan Rotoi
3, Gutix
4, Akoss Poo
5, Argammon
6, Alain
7, Roy Wiegerinck
8, CAP
9, pArAnO
10, Tsino
11, Bismarck
12, CTG

Anyway why don't we make a winning time prediction too for some bonus points?

My current tip is: 1:12.80
Title: ZCT 47 - The New Era
Post by: Argammon on January 05, 2005, 12:52:34 PM
LMAO CTG,you must be kidding!
Akoss above me and even more so above Alain is a good joke.
More so,I remember the few times I -did- race seriously, that is for example from december to (was it the end of february) of last year noone could really touch me,but then again Alanrotoi was -not- racing seriously at that time, while Alain tried.

Anyways Akoss is in no way better(sorry Akoss) And everyone else is just a matter of personal oppinion.
I mean saying Akoss is better is saying like Budapest is better than the national team of argentinia in football.
Ok,you can say that is your opinion, but it's downright nonesense also!

Now about this month:

1)Argammon
2)Alain
3)Gutix
4)Alanrotoi
5)BJ
6)Akoss?
7)ctG?
8)Usrin?
9)Zak?
10)Krys?

1)Is undoubtly the best with all cars but IMSA,INDY if he wants to,if Alain does not race seriously he might not have enough motivation and might end 4-5.

2)If he races seriously the first 2 places are as much secured as famour old Fort Knox.(or however you spell it)
When Arg and Alain are battling the others don't really have a chance regardless of how they try

3)Won last year and will win this track if there won't be an Alain-Arg battle
4)Is not better than Gutix
5)Does not race 100% but is better than the rest because he just got way more skill to beginn with

------
HUGE GAP
------
6-10 Are more than 1 class behind the top 5 and can't touch them!I see the difference being as big as between a first and a 3rd class football team so you can imagine what I mean.Even if not all of the top 5 really race seriously they should be easily able to beat the rest.

Ehhhhhh the superior feeling again... Argammon, you are simply a ******' liar (not only in Stunts but in life too) - but I don't care. You will say I am low, I am primitive, but you are only an unmodest German asshole (sorry Germans, every nation has some stupid members...). And I'm not interested in your answer so you mustn't write anything here!

All right, let's calm down:

Akoss is better then you... I think your so called skills are based on many-many hours of suffering on the track. You will disappear again if the truth comes closer (oh oh oh, your exams... etc.) and come back on the track/car which is good for you. You will say the opposite of this - I know it well - but how can you prove it? Shall we test it once? I'll give you a track with your most hated car, and make a replay in 20 or 30 minutes. We will see what you do on track! If you will be good enough I'll apologize. Really...

lets have a try this year :)

1 Argammon
2 Gutix

4 Alan Rotoi
5 Bonzai Joe
6 Akoss Poo
7 CTG
8 Zak
9 Krys
10 Usrin

I think Argammon's rankings are quite fair (but I still consider Alan Rotoi to be the best driver), but I disagree that we are 1 class behind that top 5. If we must be, then only CTG and me, and the drivers at 8th-10th places are another 2-3 classes behind us.

1. alain (he simply is the best)
2. argammon (in the same second)
3. gutix (he wont hang up with us, and lose this month)
4. bonzai joe
5. alanrotoi
6. akoss poo
7. CTG
8. krystoff
9. mingva
10. dark chaser? hello? where are you?

this is the stupidest ranking ever... now lets bet better:

1. alain (the king of stunts, and 2005 champion)
2. gutix (he is our boss)
3. akoss poo (this is not going to be the 2005 champion because of personal problems)
4. bonzai joe
5. argammon (lucky to be here because he stopped playing in the middle of the way)
6. alanrotoi
7. CTG
8. krystoff
9. mingva
10. dark chaser

later in the month i will correct my bet to get closer to what will happen

updated on the 22: its probably not the good one, but... we still know that the podium will be argammon, alanrotoi, bonzai joe

i could try to be there and gutix too. so:

1. Argammon
2. Alan rotoi (he can)
3. Gutix (he could? its my outsider)
4. Bonzai Joe (he would be on the podium if argammon didnt suck his rpl)
5. Alain (thats me, and lets get humble now...)
6. CTG
7. Akoss poo
8. Dark Chaser
9. krystoff
10. zaqrack

i hope to be higher!!

LOL why nobody believes me when I tell I will be the winner this month :)

I must disagree with Argammon and CTG.
In my opinion when somebody really wants to win he will. When somebody has the strengt, the will and the skills.
I don't know about Argammon because I've never saw him race seriously at max motivation. I mean he sure did it when I wasn't here so I can't speak about him but I know some people with these characteristics: Bonzai Joe, Alain, Roy Wiegerinck and Gutix.

Dear CTG,I think we should not start an off topic war here, should we?
That being said let me just say I wasn't really serious either in my prediction.Tried to spice the whole month a bit.If you don't understand some funny rambling I suggest you can still believe in your silly superiority
theory.
About Akoss:Sorry Akoss if my comments have been a bit harsh ;) Who's better is just a matter of personal opinion and I don't think you or I have to prove anything.

So long.....

I was always a Rotoi's driving style fan. When he says "I'll win", he does.
So, my tips are those (and I hope Argy and Alain will really race hard this month) :
1/ Alan Rotoi
2/ BJ
3/ Argy
4/ Alain
5/ Gutix
6/ Akoss Poo (if he comes back)
7/ CTG
8/ Ayrton
9/ Usrin
10/ Dark Chaser
11/ me (GTO is not my best car at all)
12/ Zak
13/ Chulk
14/ Diesel Joe
15/ ...

I expected a racing stop from Mingva as he told he won't race but just manage prediction game.

Winning time by Magic Rotoi : 1:09,85
Title: ZCT 47 - The New Era
Post by: BonzaiJoe on January 06, 2005, 10:55:48 AM
I suppose Gutix will make three huge magic carpet leaps in the beginning of the track and attain power gear after 15-20 seconds, then keep it the rest of the way and win at about 1.03. The rest of us will have to settle for 1.09-1.15 if we do it power gear style, and 1.30-1.50 if we don't.
Title: ZCT 47 - The New Era
Post by: Argammon on January 07, 2005, 12:40:01 AM
I still think I will be able to drive some 1.06'er time :)
If Gutix does 1.03,congrats that will proly beat me :)
but I am starting to think alanrotoi will be really strong this month as it is powergear time and he is motivated.
Let's redo my prediction:

1)Alanrotoi 1.02.XX
2)Gutix      1.04.XX with alan's replay
3)Arg         1.06.XX with BJ's replay
4)BJ           1.08.XX
5)Alain       1.09.XX
6)Akoss      1.11.XX
7)CTG        1.13.XX
8,9,10 as in my last post for now....
Title: ZCT 47 - The New Era
Post by: al il professore on January 08, 2005, 04:09:58 PM
we cant predict the magic carpets happening. someone will be lucky enough to get it, that's all. i dont know anybody who can make a magic carpet happen on purpose. on a place on a track where he decided. on that day, its a twenty second gap.

ten second is a year. twenty is a time and space paradox.

fortunately, it never happened. (z16 was a lone star)

when it will happen, it will hurt. (because when it will happen, there will actually be a magic carpet trail all the rpl long and the speed and rpm needle will dance like hell... i want to see one rpl like that one day)

you know i wasnt at the stunts meeting, but one of my dream after seeing a rpl from a good opponent, is to see a good opponent technique on a keyboard. because until now i didnt see anybody else than... me pushing the keys.

i race with three right fingers on the direction keys and two left fingers on the gear lever. one of my left fingers also type very often the escape key... and i rewind the tape with enter

i heard about some racing with two hands on the direction keys and using space to change gears.

i hope that i will see alanrotoi sweating for real on a keyboard one day, because this guy is mad... i'd like to see how bonzai joe and argammon fingers work, also.

I think Bonzai Joe and Akoss are using both hands at the keys.
I am driving 'classical style' and only need one hand for the arrows....

BTW My prediction changed again *g*

1)Argammon
2)BJ
3)Alanrotoi
4)Gutix
5)Alain

7)CTG
8)Zak

Alain: your driving style sounds completely impossible :D If I try to drive like that, it would be harder than driving with my left hand I think :D No wonder you have difficulties with live racing when that's your driving style. I think my style is unique. At least it was so unique that JTK took a picture of my fingers at the keyboard. I can send it to you if you like. I use space and enter for gear shifting, and use my right hand for going forward and right. I use my left hand for shifting gears and going left, and the brake alternates between my right and left hands, depending on which side I am going to while braking. That way I have full control... I suppose Argammon drives in the same way, otherwise he could never be so good at live racing. But Akoss Poo drives with one hand only, and he is a nice live pipsqueak too, he did beat me at 3 of the approximately 10 live races in Budapest.

You guys must come to Hameln this summer!

Bonzai Joe:

No you are not right: I am driving nearly exactly like Alain!
1)I am usually controlling the arrow keys with one hand only. But I do use the 2 finger method in rare occations.
2)I am usually even shifting with space and enter as I am used to it.But I think the other 2 keys might be better.I think I did shift with them 1 year ago on few tracks.
3)I think Alain's way to drive is kinda reasonable ;) I find your way to be driving more weird!

If I drive with manual, I follow Bonzai Joe's style (he told me two years ago, that shifting is also working with space/enter, because I wasn't able to use A/Z :)).

I use my left hand to shift and turn to the left - like Bonzai Joe. But if I use auto gears, steering is easier with both hands.
Title: ZCT 47 - The New Era
Post by: Argammon on January 10, 2005, 04:29:25 PM
How do I think to much of myself :) ?

I think I am very realistic... I am proly the best when it comes to driving the 'slow' cars in stunts. But when it comes to Indy or especially IMSA there are some (indy) and many (IMSA) who I have no problem with to confess are better! And if it's a slow car with powergear it seems to be pretty much open (like this month)

My -luck-? is that there are a lot more of 'slow' countach/lm002/etc etc in stunts than indy/imsa like cars.
Imagine the oppositite:There would be just 2 'slow' cars and all the others would be like indy/IMSA.I would not have any problem to say that with most of the cars the others are 'simply' better and that I can only 'shine' with the very few selected cars which suit me.
Now that it is the opposite:Quite many cars suit me and I suck with a small selected rest,I don't see why I should not be allowed to state exactly that.

As I said it's partly luck that there are more of the slow breed than the fast one,but as it is like that, and if you look at most of my results with that breed.I can say I am good with them without some CTG jumping on the 'superiority complex' bandwagon?

I tried to make this clear without any more flaming material.Let's stay away from it and if you want, you can fight me on the track. And if you beat me I will congratulate you regardless if it took you  5 or 500 hours to so.

PS:I could also answer the 'hide' stuff you put up in the news section. But this is probably not the place. If you have any other 'issues' with me you can easily PM me instead of bringing everything to the news section (ok you said you stopped)

Greetings
-Arg

I race with keypad + AZ keys for shifting. I need space to be more comfortable the driving. I tryied once BJ's way and it's very hard for me.

When I started the competitions I raced with F3 view without dashboard (3 steps to the right + 1 to the back) it was very easy to race like that for me. But when the competitions got harder and harder I found the easiest way was F1 w/dashboard.

bj: "I think my style is unique. At least it was so unique that JTK took a picture of my fingers at the keyboard. I can send it to you if you like."

send it to me :)

"and the brake alternates between my right and left hands, depending on which side I am going to while braking. That way I have full control... "

you have full control on the braking... ok but braking is not winning. compare my replays keystrokes to yours or anyone else and youll see you brake too much (or more that me) everytime.

but you have full control: your fingers can push any key at anytime, mine lose time to alternate between forward and back

plus some tricks are more bonzai joe friendly than alain friendly

To Argammon:

Well, mostly your big results match your big mouth, I just think the reason why you don't get all the worship you believe you deserve, is that you don't race very often. If it's really so important to find out who is generally the "best pipsqueak", we need a completely new approach. Occasions like the Stunts meeting (only with more participants) can make it clear who is the best live pipsqueak, but to find out who is the best RH pipsqueak, we have to make a day, or days long RH-"live"-competition.

So far we have this competition, in which talent and work are about equally represented, and is that really so unfair? If a chess player is super-talented, he still has to practice every day and use all the time on his clock to consider his moves...
Title: ZCT 47 - The New Era
Post by: Argammon on January 12, 2005, 11:30:46 AM
Hmm I don't really need any worship, and it's not that important who is the best pipsqueak.I guess everyone has his own thoughts of that.
I am just posting my opinion here, which should not be called 'big mouth' I know what I am good at,and what I am not good at.For example,as I have said before,I would never claim to be the best indy pipsqueak.....

And if I feel underestimated I will overdo my talks in the opposite direction....Now you could say I could as well stay quiet and try to get some advantage from being underestimated but whatfor? I can win some tracks and noone cares really ;)
If everyone worshiped me for good results,or whatever,I would be exactly the opposite, kinda a lot like CTG,and that is how I am in RL most of the time.... The only way I will generally stay silent on that matter is if there is if I think people's few is generally ok... which can deviate in this or that direction....

For example I have found Alanrotoi's posts on that matter lately to be quite realistic and precise... couldn't agree with him more.

You just seem to talk a lot about how great you are, that's all... You must accept being called "big mouth" then. I'm not saying you are not great - then I would have said "too big mouth". A small mouth doesn't fit a great driver either, but there's always a balance  :smt058

Okay, new tips - as you can see, the former one was still without Argammon...  :)

1, Alan Rotoi
2, Argammon
3, Bonzai Joe
4, Gutix
5, Alain
6, Akoss Poo
7, Dark Chaser
8, Usrin
9, CTG
10, Zak McKracken

If I can still change my prediction:

1)Alain
2)Argammon
3)Alanrotoi
4)Bonzai Joe
5)Akoss
6)CTG
7)Dark Chaser
8)Zak
9)Gutix
10)Krys

And Mingva, was that comment really necessary? Both the 'let him win' and the he will leave :) :) :) part would usually ask for a nasty reply from me,which could very well lead to another flamewar.
As I am not interested in those anymore I will simply not reply with any hostilities, instead I am just asking you to consider if it's worth to be like that in the future.

See ya and happy racing

It's the last day to submit/edit your tips  :!:

Sorry Argammon. I didn't wanted to insult you with my previous post. It seems, you're in bad mood after Alain beat your time  :smt090

now lets play for history. alanrotoi is preparing and bonzai joe also is playing to be on the podium. only one can be the winner. gutix could join the fight, akoss and CTG: time to prove your level raised to the maximum! This month, we could have the race of the year! the race of the decade!!!

i hope that the first five will be in the same second :) it can happen!

Sorry Alain, I thought you wouldn't race 100% seriously. After all, I have to make my final tips:

1 Alan Rotoi (he is the best and he will surprise everybody in the end with his fantastic time)
2 Argammon (fights hard against Alain but doesn't notice Rotoi's power)
3 Alain (will lose by 0.10 in a tight fight against Argammon)
4 Bonzai Joe (races only 98%... and that's not enough)
5 CTG (with this car he can't surprise the leaders)
6 Zak (it is his car, so finishes higher than usual)
7 Dark Chaser (in a new team he is capable of catching some lazy top drivers)
8 Akoss Poo (it seems i have a girlfriend)
9 Gutix (he seems to be away)
10 Usrin (on the last weekend, he drives a time which is enough for top10)

for me the winning time will be 1.06. and now, seeing what i saw on this wonderful replay of mine, i can believe no one will be under the minute.

i replayed the start of my replay and found another second bonus in the first twenty seconds!!! so my start was very weak while my end is very strong.

i will have a 1.07 final replay.

and i think a good pipsqueak  (or perhaps me) can win another three seconds there with a powergear after the first loop and before the first cork... and reach 1.06 to do a very good replay. it is probable that a 1.01 could be driven by a superstar, once a decade so it wont happen.

1 Alain
2 Argammon
3 Alan Rotoi
4 Bonzai Joe
5 CTG
6 Gutix
7 Dark Chaser
8 Zak
9 Akoss Poo
10 Krys TOFF

(Akoss Poo: sorry, the chance of my racing on this track is only 20%. I have to learn more than I expected, so I had to postpone my exam from 28th to 31th January; and on 29th, there will be a Metnet meeting, I think you know about that.)

Weeee.... I would like to remind everyone that I predicted 1.06.70 very early this month as winning time. And as things have turned out, that might be very close to the actual result :) :)

i already drove 1.09.05 without checkpoints so 1.06.70 will be really easy to reach with checkpoint driving. so long with wannabee accurate predictions.
