I can't host the meeting, so if it's going to be in ?rhus, it will be in Lise's house. But of course I will co-host it with her and organize as much as I can. BUT. Before we start to plan this, I think we need to be sure it can't be done in Germany. That would be much more convenient still, as ?rhus is further away from everyone in the Stunts community (except Mingva and us) than Germany.
About ?rhus:
There is no airport in ?rhus. The nearest one (which is after all called ?rhus airport) is 47 km away. It's a very small one though, and the nearest bigger airport is 80-90 km away, with flights from Paris (and other places).
Traveling distance from Hannover to ?rhus is about 500 km, as Zak stated.
It is a city with 300,000 inhabitants, the second biggest in Denmark, but you can't expect it to be anything like Budapest. In Budapest there was a lot to see and experience every day, in ?rhus there is really nothing of interest to see. That having been said, ?rhus is a very nice city to be in, in my opinion, especially if the weather is nice. It's by the sea, and with beautiful surroundings. Lise's house is in H?jbjerg, which is a suburb, about 2-3 km south of the center of ?rhus.
There is of course lots of nightlife in ?rhus, but most of the places are really despicable if you ask me. There are no Depeche Mode clubs or outdoor parties like in Budapest.
But this of course means that we would have much more time to sit around inside and play Stunts, which we didn't do enough last time :D
We could also throw parties in Lise's house (she says :D)

That is not so easy to find, but I'll explain if necessary (which it won't be, as we will meet at my place and if worst comes to worst I would direct you by phone).
The meeting starts on thursday in the sense that the first people arrive on thursday, but I suppose the "official" meeting won't start before friday. Just like in Budapest, where Thomas and I arrive at the 6th, Akoss at the 10th, CTG at the 12th, but the meeting started at the 13th when the rest of the gang arrived.
To questions 3 and 4, I can only answer: "YES!" and we're looking very much forward to seeing you here, it's gonna be a blast, and we're going to have a lot of fun together just like last year, although it's going to be a lot of other people.

About trains: I just checked the site of the "Deutsche Bahn". There are connections (not directly), but travelling time would be around 6-9 hours. For most connections the price could not be calculated for some reason, only for one of them. It takes about 6 1/2 hours and costs 91 ?! :shock:

Well it also depends on when we start from Denmark. But any of your ideas sound just great to me. I also like to have a look around in the cities I cross on my journey -it'd be a missed opportuntiy to leave it out.
If only 1 common destination/departure city is available I suggest Hannover of course :)

This seems to be the right time to inform you all that anyone who plans to make a flame war of the meeting (of course you can flame each other with a grin, you know what I mean) and fight or row with other drivers, is not invited to the "party". I am sure this will not be a problem, and I am looking very much forward to it all!
IMPORTANT: Denmark is not a member of the Economic and Monetary Union, so you have to pay with Danish kroner, and not Euros here.
A lot of new pipsqueaks have come since I stopped racing, I wonder what that means... :roll:

Now the meeting is approaching and I am looking very much forward to it. To see the Stunts pipsqueaks I already know (Dinmor, Zak, Akoss, JTK and KHR) and the ones I will get to know at the meeting (Argammon, Alain, Krys Toff, Diesel Joe and hopefully more!)
My house is empty apart from me, and I have just bought a new computer which will soon be ready for serious racing! Apart from liveracing competition, which I hope we can spend a lot of time on, I can't wait to drink with you and have fun with you and race with you! (oh by the way that's a problem, last year we had a sober host, that's not very likely this year :D).
I promise I will keep order at the meeting and prevent any fighting. But of course everyone will have to appear with a positive attitude just like last year. It was a magical meeting, and everyone was so easy to get along with!
I only need to come up with something that can be as much fun as the castle-river trip in Budapest :D

Sleeping bags: there will be beds/mattresses enough for everyone. I will count the bedsheets and write again when I know if there are enough of those.

Yes, please bring Stunts on a CD, and either something that will make it work on XP, or a Windows 98 boot CD. Thanks. By the way, I can provide a screen, as it seems right now, so if you want to bring that computer you talked about, you can. Then we would have three (mine, JTK's and yours)

I am sorry to tell everyone that I finally decided not to go to the meeting because there are to many private issues,which stop me from being able to make a trip to denmark at this time without to many drawbacks.
I think it would have been a blast and I regret not being able to take part.

I talked to him by mail too, and he told he lives 150 km away from Aarhus (but didn't told which city). He also told he probably would not come a he doesn't have a car.

Hi there! I'm a friend of Jacky's and I'll be dropping by the meeting aswell. I've volunteered to bring my 3 computers (and possibly a network if you guys want/need that) so computers shouldn't really be a problem =)
I need to confess something though - I've never really played alot of Stunts. So I'll be the total newbie you can all rip to shreds =P

Akoss; I'm at Stavanger airport now, arriving to Budapest tonight and leaving for the way back (by car) on Friday afternoon. In the meantime: fights with Hungarian bureaucracy, PhD handing ceremony, shopping (items for the flat in Norway), quitting from my previous job officially... every minutes are scheduled. I'll have real holidays in Hungary from Christmas to New Year. That seems to be OK for a mini meeting - perhaps with the 7 beers for me.

Okay, as I said before, I am very busy now, too (I'll spend the weekend in Debrecen), but I thought you are inquiring about Stunts drivers to be shown up during your trip because you have some free time. Christmas time is too far away to say anything sure. You will win the beers if everything remains the same until 4th October.

Thanks! Copenhagen would have meant more extra distance than Kazincbarcika... Btw, I made a very short visit to Århus, to see an important location of Stunts history. Very nice city, but unfortunately I haven't found a single corkscrew up/down on the roads, not to mention a loop.
