I don't know but with his control the Hungarian team showed many brave attacks. Maybe offensive... :)

Lothar's style: never give up, we can win every match! That's not surprising, he is German, and he was a player in the Nationalelf. But he got used to be lucky in the German team (Germans are always lucky), and he had to face with misfortune a the coach of the Hungarian team (Sweden match...).

2006 is not only the year of World Cup, but also the year of two long-awaited Hungarian derbies: Kazincbarcika-Szolnok and Felp?c-B?csa. I've made my predictions for them, using MLSZ '99. Here you are!

Some months later I'll quote you, Usrin. You know, "rosszul fogadt?l, sopt?l, te fasz!". :D

B?csa will suck and KBSC will steal a point.

MLSZ 99 considers Szolnoki M?V a team in the second, KBSC in the third division... but it's not the same today.

Of course we'll see. I'll see it live, and you? :D The goal of the team is the podium, said the coach of KBSC. By the way, first training match will come:

21/1 (exactly one years after the real relationship between Laura and me started, we 'were together' from this date): Di?sgy?ri VTK - Kazincbarcikai SC (two old rivals and enemies, only 25 kms from each other, we had big matches - and box matches after them in the streets - earlier in the second division)

And about an international friendly:

Egypt - South Africa 1-2 (1-2)
Goals: Zaki (23', penalty shot) vs. Zaki (14', own goal), Zuma (45')

Well, Zaki is a very good football player, but he is even more greater in handball, as we saw during the Stunts Meeting in 2004. :) (Hungary-Egypt, Olympic Games...)

Akoss Poo: I also want to see it live. Is there a guest sector in Kazincbarcika? If there isn't, is it safe to cheer for Szolnok amongst the KBSC fanatics? :)

Sometimes there are some fans who are cheering for the guest team. They always choose a different part of the 'stadium', but in most of the cases, it's not available to notice them (they are without any signs of being a supporter of the guest team). I know the sector where the DVTK fans always take place, it is without home supporters in most of the cases. If you want to support the team actively (singing, shouting, etc.), it's the safest to stay there. If you want to sit in silence for the whole match, you can watch the match everywhere, even among KBSC fans. Even next to me. :D And if you are next to me, you can say your opinion to me, if the KBSC ultras hear that you are a not so radical Szolnok fan, I don't think you can be in trouble. KBSC ultras are not the most aggressive ultras.

EURO 2008 qualification:

Group C

Greece
Turkey
Norway
Bosnia and Herzegovina
HUNGARY
Moldova
Malta

Bad luck again... :?

We have beat Malta and Moldova twice, at least 3 points against Bosnia, minimum 2-2 points from the 3 other opponents - recipe for qualification.

My realistic tip:

Malta 6/6 pts
Moldova 4/6 pts
Bosnia 1/6 pts
Norway 1/6 pts
Turkey 0/6 pts
Greece 1/6 pts
Overall: 13/36 pts, 5th place in group C

Injustice...

France-Italy-Ukraine-Scotland together...
Sweden-Spain-Denmark...

and the usual assholes?

England-Croatia-Russia
Czech Republic-Germany

(I only mentioned the strong or relatively sides in the groups; 2 will qualify per groups)

WHY IS IT THAT ENGLAND AND GERMANY ALWAYS GET WEAK OPPONENTS?! Okay, Germany got the Czeches, but 2 will qualify.

skid off FIFA, UEFA!

B????????????????????FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!

Don't be afraid, we'll also beat the Germans! Btw, group C seems to be the weakest... but at the present stage of Hungarian football, Akoss' tips are realistic. However, if they found a good coach, reaching 2nd place wouldn't be impossible for Hungary.

Ukraine had a weaker performance in the EC 2004 qualifiers, and, after UKR had been qualified, they took their last matches too easy - they lost some precious points.

2006 is the year of the world cup but nobody gave tips. Let's play some kind of prediction game with it. Who do you think will be the Champion and who will be the Runner-up?
I think Brasil will beat Netherlands in the final but England and Argentina can be there too. Germany is local but they are a bit behind this 4 teams

The group of Brasil, Croacia, Jap?o and Austr?lia is not easy and uncomplicated like some would think.

Croacia is very motivated after the victory against argentina;
Japan is not a sand bag anymore;
Australia really want to show that everybody are underestimated them;
and every team that has the favouritism by his side, its not good

He had a bad day. But do you remember Oliver Kahn in World Cup 2002? He was the best keeper of the tournament before the final. Then he made a very amateur mistake at the first goal.

Fortunately Europe is a civilized place: murdering is very from us in this case (maybe in Serbia he would be beaten in the same situation but not get killed).

I've found a funny but sadly true poem when I tried to dig up the official UEFA Champions League lyrics. Here you are:

Quote from: "Matt Clark04"

Oct 2002, 05:15 AM

These are the official lyrics to the song ...

We'll build a competition from which you can't get knocked out,
As long as you're Real, United or your chairman's got clout,
It'll be the same old teams again and again,
At least four from Italy, England and Spain.

It's all part of our great master plan you must see,
To get lots of money selling the rights to TV,
The fans may get bored of all these meaningless games,
but it's all advertising space for the big brand names.

No room for your Belgians, Swedes or East Europeans
But we'll still call the winners...... The Champions!

It's even more true for intenational cups, just remember World Cup 2002...

DAMN IT!!! DIRTY LUCKY KAZINCBARCIKA!!! They got totally tired in 2nd half, whilst Szolnok had a lot of great moments. Based on the image of the game and possibilities for scoring, realistiic result would have been 1-4 to Szolnok, but the referee was against us (for example, forgot to give the second yellow card to Engi) and we ve had unbelievably bad luck. skid OFF!!! You are overstating Usrin! First, the stallin fucked referee forgot to give us a penalty in the first half for handball. Engi deserved a yellow card, but wasn't as unfair and unsportmanlike to be sent off. KBSC and Szolnok had around equally the same amount of goal scoring chances, Szolnok had of them really before KBSC's goal. In the end, it could really have been 2-0 or 3-0 - Szolnok played an all out for attack game, and almost paid for it.

In Nemzeti Sport:

KAZINCBARCIKA - SZOLNOK 1?0 (0?0)

85. perc: A szolnoki kapus, egy hazagur?tott labda kir?g?sakor Fekete h?t?t tal?lta el, ? De?khoz passzolt, majd D?vid el? ker?lt a labda, aki k?zelr?l a kapuba gur?tott.
1?0

A tal?lkoz? els? f?lideje halov?ny j?t?kot hozott. A csapatok elk?pzel?s n?lk?l futballoztak, szinte csak a rombol?ssal voltak elfoglalva. A m?sodik j?t?kr?szben emelkedett a sz?nvonal, helyzetek is kialakultak, ?m a h?rom pont sors?t a vend?gek kapus?nak kapit?lis hib?ja d?nt?tte el.

Mesterm?rleg
K?d?r Zsolt: ? Jelen helyzet?nkben a h?rom pont megszerz?se volt a c?l, nagy k?zdelem ?r?n siker?lt.
Kis K?roly: ? V?gig mez?nyf?l?nyben j?tszottunk, ?m egy hiba megpecs?telte a sorsunkat.

Yes, maybe... but we have seen many penalties given in situations like these.

I would like to mention 2 more things:

there must have been much more supporters than 300 which was written in the newspaper! I guessed for around 600 of them. And that means the prediction of MLSZ '99 was much more correct! (620 supporters) (And its prediction for the temperature was exactly correct: 14 Celsius.)

and skid off little Helen! against there was a lineswoman Helen! she really should have stayed at home in the kitchen! b?ff! she stopped one of the very promising home attacks referring to an offside situation - it wasn't offside, and there would have been an other goal from this scoring chance!

i want to show you the guest sector:

In Szolnok it has, therefore our match against Orosh?za has been postponed. (Btw, I don't understand why couldn't we play in V?s? Street, where all of our matches were held before 1999 or 2000, and the pitch is surely dry...)

AGF Aarhus will be relegated after 29 years in the best league :(

So 30 matches against crap teams next year. Well, then maybe at least we can win some matches.

I've found a newspaper from Monday at home. Let's see what N?plap (daily newspaper of our county) wrote about the match KBSC-Szolnok! Sorry, it's in Hungarian, but I think Akoss Poo is the most interested in it. :)

Quote from: "Szolnoki N?plap"
KAZINCBARCIKA - SZOLNOKI M?V-MONDI 1-0 (0-0)
Kazincbarcika, 300 n., v. Tak?cs J.

Kazincbarcika: SZ?NTAI - Han?sz, HARN?CZ, KOV?CS R. - Engi, Badalik (De?k, sz?netben), Ordab?na, Elek, (D?vid, sz?netben), Kerekes - Kov?cs P., Dar?k (Fekete, 60.). Vezet?edz?: K?d?r Zsolt.
Szolnok: R?zs? - Pint?r L., ANTAL, BALOGH, SZALAI - B. T?th, Gr?z, Pozs?r, FORG? - Kotula (Bali, 52.), BARDI. Vezet?edz?: Kis K?roly.

82. perc: R?zs? a hazapasszolt labd?val telibe tal?lta De?kot, a lepattan? v?g?l D?vid el? ker?lt, aki k?t m?terr?l a kapuba gur?tott, 1-0.

Az els? f?lid?ben nem forogtak vesz?lyben a kapuk, ?m sz?net ut?n a Szolnoknak k?sz?nhet?en meg?l?nk?lt az iram. A tal?lkoz? helyzet?t is a k?k-s?rg?k jegyezt?k, azonban Pint?r elv?tette a lehet?s?get. Ezt k?vet?en egy egy?ni hiba eld?nt?tte a meccs sors?t.

K?d?r Zsolt: - A h?rom pont megszerz?se volt a legfontosabb, s ezt teljes?tett?k.
Kis K?roly: - A g?lig mi uraltuk a j?t?kot, ?m ellenfel?nk egyetlen helyzet?t kihaszn?lta.

5 GOOD players in Szolnok, only 3 in Kazincbarcika (and one of them is the goalkeeper) - that tells almost everything about the two teams. :D

(Before you ask: writing "Ordab?na" is not my fault, it was written this way in the newspaper...)

But yesterday we lost a match when simply we played better, and I was angrier than any time this spring season:

Baktal?r?nth?zi Tirp?k VSE - Kazincbarcikai SC 2-1

Today:

Ferencv?ros - ?jpest 1-2 (1-0)
G.: Lipcsei (penalty, 19.) vs. Kov?cs Z. (92.), Rajczi (penalty, 96.)
Sent off: Botis (95.) vs. B?jte (90.), Kov?cs Z. (after the match)

My opinion about this match is around the same as LucaToni says in Nemzeti Sport forum, in Hungarian:

Easy victory in the home of Soroks?r (we've overtaken them on the scoreboard with this result):
Soroks?r - Szolnoki M?V 0-2 (0-1)

Szolnok is 6th with only 19 games after the 20th round. If our match against Orosh?za (much weaker team) hadn't been postponed and we had won, we would be on 3th place. B?FF!

Altough I'm not a football fan I've reinvented the rules. It happened because whenever I tired to watch football I gave up after 10 minutes because it's so boooring. My brother (who is a big fan :)) said it's quite a nice idea:

The change is simple but effective: The team which shoots a goal is forced to reduce the number of his players by one. So the other team could score easier, and when that'd happen, minus one player from them too.
Optional rule: at half time every team could raise it's player count by one.

Post by: Usrin on April 27, 2006, 11:05:34 AM
I think if this rule was used, absolutely nothing would happen until the 80th minute of the matches, because neither team would like to score and lose a player earlier... Then, the last few minutes are survivable with 10 players in most cases, so more than one goal on a match would become extremely rare. (And the most common result would be 0-0, when nobody can score in the last minutes.)

lol nice idea :)
but such a thing already exists.

ever heard about the bike messenger races?
one event is standing in one place with the bike. As some bikers could do it for hours, the rules were modified so it is a lot more intresting this way:

you start standing with your bike in one place
after 5 minutes you have to let go the handlebar with one of your hands
after 10 minutes no hands allowed
after 15 minutes you must take off one of your legs from the pedals
after 20 minutes you cannot touch the pedals

as I recall the best result was 22 minutes! :)

I especially like this situation if happens to Fradi (=Ferencv?ros) or ?jpest. Here are my reasons (especially for those who don't know much about Hungarian football).

FERENCV?ROS (=9th district of Budapest): the team having the best results in the past (most championship titles, etc.), but currently an average one in the 1st division. However, cheering for them is always a big fashion. (For example, a shitty beer can be sold very well under the name "Fradi Beer".) For most of their fans, fashion is the only reason for choosing Ferencv?ros. But they believe that they're the "Team of the Nation", and a true Hungarian can't cheer for any other team. They believe that playing in Ferencv?ros means something very special (having "Fradi-heart" makes them unbeatable), and hardly understand when a player doesn't feel that and leaves Fradi for more money. In this case, their former gods can become "traiters" immediately. Fradi is very popular also amongst Hungarian referees, but fans think that they've historical rights to have this advantage. The most ugly thing is that Fradi has fans everywhere in Hungary, even in cities with quite strong teams (Debrecen, Miskolc). These fans are quiet on 364 days of the year, but when Fradi plays in their city, they go to the guest sector, and abuse the home supporters together with Fradi fans arriving from Budapest. "Debrecen peasants" of "Miskolc gipsies" is very strange from the mouth of a local resident... But their greatest enemy is in Budapest: it's ?jpest, that's why Fradi fans always shout "Dicksucker ?jpest", even when celebrating a goal.

?JPEST (=4th district): the team with the 2nd best historical results, with much less fans. But these fans are probably the most unintelligent people in Hungary, together with some of the players. I'll never understand how can they have such a sense for choosing the greatest assholes... Nowadays, they've probably the strongest team, but that's no reason for their unlimited self-conceit. (However, they don't have as strong beliefs about their superiority as Fradi fans have.) The current president of the Hungarian Football Association is a former coach of ?jpest, probably that's why nowadays they get very generous presents from referees - even against Ferencv?ros... I think it's not surprising that Ferencv?ros is their greatest enemy: matches between the two teams almost always lead to serious fights around the stadium.

I can't decide which one I hate more. Perhaps Ferencv?ros, but it's always a great pleasure when any of them suck. :D

They're close to each other in historical results, but I didn't looked up the data, and guessed ?jpest is 2nd. But if counting their titles, you're right. MTK: 22x champion, 12x cup winner, played final in European Cup Winners' Cup once. ?jpest: 20x champion, 8x cup winner, played final in UEFA Cup once.

Akoss Poo, if you say lineswomen are dirty, what do you think about female referees? And what do you think if one of them referees an important match in Eastern Group of NB II? And what should I say if she "forgets" to give an unambiguos penalty to Szolnok in V?c, and that's why we can't win in the home of the leader of the championship? And this is the sad reality. The match was on Thursday, but I've just read about it. I don't find the words for that...

Frenchwoman, 44, is among 8 candidates out of 80 who fail sprint test

NEU-ISENBURG, Germany - Frenchwoman Nelly Viennot failed a sprint test Friday, ending her hopes of becoming the first female World Cup official.

The 44-year-old Viennot was among 80 candidates tested on physical fitness and knowledge of rules at a four-day FIFA workshop for assistant referees. Eight failed, including Viennot.

Sixty officials will be selected early May for World Cup duty in Germany. FIFA has already announced the names of the 23 referees who will officiate at soccer?s premier event.

I always remember with pleasure when I saw AGF beat ?jpest by 3-1 on ?rhus Stadion, and thus qualify for the 1/32 final of the UEFA cup. Then they sensationally beat Nantes after 2-2 at home and a 0-1 victory in Nantes. The goalkeeper received the first top mark that the local newspaper had ever given anyone. Then in the 1/16 final, they played 1-1 against Twente at home, but then lost by playing 0-0 in Twente  :(  They hit the bar twice...
Those were the days... Next year: second best league. That sucks.
It was interesting to read about those football clubs, Usrin :-) If I move to Budapest, I will make sure I cheer for MTK Budapest then :-)

It's proved that Juventus influenced the sending of the referees to the matches, but is it also proved that they asked the referees to cheat on matches? If only the first one is true, Juventus can survive with a less serious  penalty, but if the second is true, yes, they can go down to Serie B or even to Serie C1.

I don't think Juventus would be deprived of their 2004-05 title!

If these sucks happen and MTK don't lose points (and why would they lose?), ?jpest drops back to 4th place, which means no chance for playing in any international cup. That would be really funny. :D

Btw, if Feh?rv?r (cup winner) would be 2nd in the championship, who would be the other Hungarian participant in UEFA Cup? Vasas (played final in Hungarian Cup) or the 3rd best of the championship (hopefully MTK)?

An incredible suck of Kazincbarcika: Kazincbarcika (9th, 35 pts) - Budafok (13th, 24 pts) 0-4... What the hell happened there??? It's very suspicious, because Budafok is fighting for the place in NB II, while these 3 points absolutely don't count for Kazincbarcika... perhaps they've sold the match. :?

Szolnok won again: Szolnok - Vecs?s 4-2. Now, we're 3rd, with as many points as J?szap?ti (2nd) has!!! GO SZOLNOK, skid OFF J?SZAP?TI!!!

UEFA Cup finals for Hungarians:

1965: Ferencv?ros - Juventus 1-0

1968: Leeds United - Ferencv?ros 1-0, 0-0

1969: Newcastle United - ?jpesti D?zsa 3-0, 3-2

1985: Real Madrid - Videoton SC 3-0, 0-1

In the old system at least one team of us used to survive the first round (not the pre-qualifications, but the first round). Once Debrecen reached 3rd round in the last ten years.

In the new system: Ferencv?ros qualified to the group phase in 2004 and almost qualified to the next stage.

Usrin:

1. I also don't know whether the 3rd or the cup finalist has a place in the UEFA Cup. I guess the cup finalist (Vasas)

2. According to www.gportal.hu/kbsc, none of the red cards were deserved. I also found the result very suspicious - KBSC was famous for laying down to dicksucker clubs for money in the earlier times... Little money, great players... But now the situation might be different: I felt sometimes that the players are unmotivated, they are playing 'alibi football', and concentrating on night parties instead of playing with dignity for their hometown (yes, most of the players were born and are living in Kazincbarcika). The poor results of the spring are very sad, there must be some thing done.

If ETO will be demolished by ?jpest then it will be a cheated match (improving goal balance against Debrecen). Remember ?jpest - Honv?d 7-0. Honv?d is not that crap team and I guess they "went down" for some money. ETO will do the same.

If ETO fights and makes the match tight then the refree will give red card to one of our players OR give an easy penalty to ?jpest. If not then Kov?cs Zolt?n (dirty!!!) will score in the 95th minute.

Dirty purple league, dirty cheater ?jpest, smelly-dirty Kisteleki! ?jpest to NB III!!!

He plays in West Bromwich Albion, Premier League. Unfortunately he had a bad long injury this year and his team fall out of Premier League. He has some offers from other clubs like Tottenham, Aston Villa and Charlton - but he's loyal to WBA and will try to help them back to the best league. He's 27 at the moment, let's hope he can still play on the possible EURO 2012 in Hungary.

It's totally about money. Ferencv?ros couldn't pass the criteria of some stupid economical rules. Their better players will leave the team, the rest... well, they can have problems with second class. I give only 60 percent for them for coming back to first class in a year.
Title: Re: Football Fanats 2006 - The year of World Cup

But if they started in 1st division, they would surely go bankrupt in a few months - the strict financial rules are made for avoiding these situations. And if a team backs out during the championship, it means they can start the next season only in 3rd division. (Well, it would be even funnier. :)) Last weekend Ferencv?ros played a training match in Felcs?t (50 km from Budapest), and they simply couldn't afford ordering a bus - Felcs?t had to send its own bus to Budapest for the "famous" guests...

Title: Re: Football Fanats 2006 - The year of World Cup
Post by: Usrin on July 27, 2006, 08:31:09 PM
CTG: I agree that our championship needs Ferencv?ros and its fans, even if they're very dirty... But relegation to NB II was the best decision that MLSZ (Hungarian Association of Football) could make in the current financial situation of FTC. Now they have a good chance for getting back to the first division in one year. But if they had to give up NB I in the middle of the season, it would probably mean the end of their history. (Do you remember Szeged FC from 1999 or 2000?) And don't forget that current situation is the fault of the present and previous (Torgy?n...) leaders of Ferencv?ros, and not anybody else.

Btw, why do you think that Western & Central (see V?c) Hungary deserves so many strong teams? Si?fok (not more than 30000 inhabitants) should have a team in NB I, while B?k?scsaba (55000 inhabitants, football is much more popular and has much stronger history, team was regularly within Top 6) shouldn't? Or the 4th biggest city of Hungary (Szeged) can't have a good football team? I think the best NB I would be the following:

- Ferencv?ros
- MTK
- Kispest
- ?jpest
- Gy?r
- Halad?s
- Zalaegerszeg
- P?cs
- Feh?rv?r
- Tatab?nya
- Sopron
- Di?sgy?r
- Debrecen
- Ny?regyh?za
- B?k?scsaba
- Szeged

(At first I wanted to write Kecskem?t instead of Tatab?nya or Sopron, because it's two times bigger than the mentioned Transdanubian towns, but I'm afraid football would never be such popular there. In the past, Kecskem?t never had more than a few hundred fans in NB II...)

Interesting matches of NB II Eastern Group in this year & predictions of MLSZ'99 :)
Bad news: KBSC comes to Szolnok in March, so summer/autumn bicycle tour can't be organized for that match. :(

19 Aug
Szolnok - Ferencv?ros 1-1 (0-1)
3791 spectators, weather: rain, 4?C.

26 Aug (during Metnet meeting...)
Kazincbarcika - Szolnok 1-1 (1-1)
565 spectators, weather: clear, 3?C.

4 Nov
Kazincbarcika - Ferencv?ros 1-3 (0-3)
1905 spectators, weather: clear, 28?C.

Btw, I'm afraid I would have to improve the weather forecasting part of MLSZ'99. :)

Lot of things to mention.

First, the NB I should look like the following:

Ferencv?ros
?jpest
MTK Hung?ria
Budapest Honv?d
Videoton Sz?kesfeh?rv?r
Gy?ri ETO
P?csi MFC
Di?sgy?ri VTK
Debreceni VSC
Szeged LC
Eger FC
Salg?tarj?ni BTC
Kecskem?ti TE
B?k?scsabai EFC
Ny?regyh?zi VSC
Kazincbarcikai SC

Yes, we need Ferencv?ros in NB I, and we also need ?jpest, even if they are dirty. The Eastern half of the country is much bigger than the Western, so we need much more Eastern teams in the NB I. Because of bad financial circumstances, we always see only a few Eastern teams in the league, and some famous Eastern teams in the regional divisions (e.g. Eger). So Eastern teams need some compensation, and yes, we need that much of Eastern teams in the first division - now let West suck.

Well, it's sad to see KBSC-Szolnok will be during the MetNet meeting, I'll probably miss the match... but of course I'll go to watch the KBSC-Ferencv?ros match in November.

We can organize the bicycle tour of course in early autumn (that would be the best), it's a pity that we won't see the match.

Halad?s and Zalaegerszeg are needed anyway in NB I... I can't believe that a Kecskem?t-Eger "derby" would be as interesting as Halad?s-Zalaegerszeg. The latter would be played in front of 8000-10000 spectators even if the two teams are far from the "podium", while Kecskem?t-Eger (or Eger-Kecskem?t) wouldn't have more than 2000 spectators in the same situation. 10000 would be totally unreachable for them even if they fought for the championship....

Salg?tarj?n seems to be a better idea, they regularly had 1500-2000 spectators in NB III, so we can expect how popular would they be in NB I... So just a little change in my list: I replace Sopron with Salg?tarj?n. (Tatab?nya is bigger than Sopron, and has a long history of good football.)

I don't care about PSG too. ;D I didn't like Lyon a lot but year after year they proved me wrong. This team has a soul now, it's not just an addition of mercenaries like Real Madrid. Lyon was like that too at its beginning, when Aulas and co. came and decided to build a top team with lots of money, but now this team has changed and they have a soul. I like teams with a soul, like Arsenal, like Marseille, like FC Barcelona. I don't like Real Madrid or Chelsea.

I'm just surprised that there's no recent posts about problems in Italy and players transfers from the 4 teams that will go into 2nd division. Anyway, Feh?rv?r will be Hungarian champion for forthcoming season, because there's an "Akoss" in their ranks : Koller ?kos. :D

Debrecen will fall before that against Rabotnicki.

Rabotnicki - Debrecen 4-1 (overall 5-2)

Shame on all the hungarian "professional" teams.

Let's see the positive part of these things: we will have an incredible good hungarian championship this year because none of our teams will lose energy in the international cups.

Ironic sentence from the biggest hungarian sports newspaper after Feh?rv?r's lost match against Grasshoppers (1-1 at home, 0-2 in Switzerland). Feh?rv?r was the only Hungarian team surviving the first round, but the second was too hard for them.

Hungary - Norway 1-4 (0-3)

Big slap in the first round: three norwegian goals were just ridiculous (our goalkeeper's and backwards' mistakes...). index.hu says: let's choose another sport (water polo) or another team (Italy). They are totally right.

Congratulations to Kazincbarcika - in the cup you were be better than Szolnok, because T?r?kszentmikl?s-Szolnok 2-2 means a great SUCK for us. (T?r?kszentmikl?s plays 3 divisions lower than Szolnok, therefore they qualified for the next round with this draw.) Btw, Kazincbarcika reached the same result (2-2) against Szolnok, which means their power is equal to a team in the 2nd division of JNK-Szolnok county.

Previously:

K?ny SE - B?csa FC 1-3
B?csa FC - Gy?rszemere KSK 3-2
T?t SE - B?csa FC 0-6

B?csa is leading the championship after 4 matches: 4 victories, 15-5 goals.

Cs?fordj?nosfa also made a great start:

Sopron Boys SE - Cs?fordj?nosfa KSE 0-1
Cs?fordj?nosfa KSE - Pusztacsal?d FC 7-1
Nagyl?zs SK - Cs?forj?nosfa KSE 2-3

The stallin referee forgot to disallow the Mak? goal! The ball was only on the goal line, not behind it (KBSC supporters told)!

But, still, it is a good result in Mak?.

A KBSC szurkol?i oldal picit m?g jobban any?zik:

Csapatunk ma Mak?n szerepelt. A m?rk?z?s 1-1-s d?ntetlennel ?rt v?get, katasztrof?lis j?t?kvezet?s mellett. ?gy tov?bbra is mumusa maradtunk hazai csapatnak. G?lunkat Engi Tam?s l?tte.

Mak?-Kazincbarcika 1-1 (0-0)

Mak?, 400 n?z? Vezette: Beretty?n P?ter (5) (Szpisj?k, Bodac)

Mak?: Czirbus ? Magyar (Bakos ?., 46.), M?rocz, Bodonyi (Had?r, 32.), Varga R. ? Kis K., Kulacsik, B?ny (Bakos T., 68.), F?l?p T. ? Scheiber, Zakar.

Edz?: Tak?cs Zolt?n.

Kazincbarcika: Botl? ? Han?sz, B?nyai, Harn?cz ? Engi, Kov?cs P., Dar?k (Simk?, 80.), Kerekes, Seb?k ? Badalik, D?vid (Elek, 59.).

Edz?: K?d?r Zsolt, Kolesz?r Gy?rgy.

Esem?nyek:

75. perc: Egy hazai kontra v?g?n Han?sz bel?p?je r?v?n 11-eshez jutott a hazai csapat. A b?ntet?t Botl? gyors vet?d?ssel v?dte.

76. perc: A 11-es b?l kipattan?t bedob?sra siker?lt kir?gnunk. A bedobott labd?t Varga R. cs?sztatta meg, Botl? a g?lvonalr?l ?t?tte ki a labd?t. Mindenki meglepet?s?re a partjelz? g?lt intett. 1-0

84. perc: Han?sz ind?totta a kil?p? Engit, aki betolta a labd?t a tizenhatoson bel?lre ?s 15 m?terr?l laposan a bal als? sarokba l?tt. 1-1

Dar?k kapott egy ind?t?st, ?s egy csel ut?n ?ri?si labd?t adott Badaliknak (nem volt lesen), aki kicselezte a kapust, majd a kapuba l?tt. A partjelz? lest jelzett....

89. perc: Engi egy csel ut?n az alapvonal k?zel?b?l beadta a labd?t. Egy becs?sz? v?d? menteni akart, de a kez?r?l ment ki a labda. A b?r? 11-es helyett sz?gletet ?t?lt.

Sorry for the Hungarian this time.

Other matches in same group :
Lituania 1-2 Scotland
Ukraine 3-2 Georgia

Classification :
1. Scotland, 6 points (+7)
2. France, 6 (+5)
3. Georgia, 3 (+2)
4. Ukraine, 3 (+1)
5. Lituania, 1 (-1)
6. Italy, 1 (-2)
7. Feroe Island, 0 (-12)

With 3 goals per match so far, even versus World Champions, this is a very good beginning for France in European Nations cup qualifications. I hope it will continue this way.

Very disappointing and annoying results by KBSC in the latter weeks:

Championship:
KBSC-Kecskem?t 1-2
Tuzs?r-KBSC 2-1

Cup:
Berkenye (regional 1.)-KBSC (NB II) 1-1
Because Berkenye plays in a lower division than KBSC, KBSC was knocked out from the Cup with this draw.

But today we will host the mighty Tirp?ks, who are lying in 2nd spot in the championship, and only the victory is acceptable against them.

GO, GO MALTA!!!

Malta - Hungary 2-1 (1-1) in the 53rd minute. Yes, we suck. They are so hopeless that I started to cheer for Malta. They will win. We are only with 10 players on the field. ;D

We sucked! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

Top dogs at hungarian football association say that Mattheus was the evil, he stole a lot of time from Hungary to improve. Well... During the Mattheus era Hungary played more or less well, sometimes we caused surprise and our clubs were also quite successful. They fired Mattheus and the new national coach is Peter Bozsik, former coach of Zalaegerszeg (which beats Manchester United at home, hahaha). Since that we just suck. Not only at national level but our clubs too.

This year:

UEFA Cup:

?jpest - FC Vaduz 0-4

UEFA Champions League:

Rabotnicski - Debrecen 4-1

National team in the Bozsik era:

Hungary - New Zealand 2-0
England - Hungary 3-1
Austria - Hungary 1-2
Hungary - Norway 1-4
Bosnia - Hungary 1-3
Hungary - Turkey 0-1
Malta - Hungary 2-1

Did you really lose vs Malta ? :-S

That's bad...

I don't know what I would have done if Denmark had lost vs Liechtenstein...

But maybe one of the things that I like about Hungary is that people care more about good music than football :)

This one was Malta's first victory for 12 years, 4th in overall (at qualifications).

1:1 is a little shame but still a point - they were too defensive to score more.

2:1 is a giant shame - they scored twice without being too defensive and we couldn't answer it.

Rennes - Lyon 1-0
Yes, a surprise. Tiago, Carew, Malouda not playing, Juninho having a red card, and a fantastic match from the goalkeeper of Rennes during the 2nd half made this good result for Rennes.
This is the way it goes with Rennes : either they are really good (like yesterday or in February 2006 when the defeated Lyon 4-1), either they are just crap.
Problem with Lyon is that everybody is over-motivated when they play against them because they are easily leading the French championship, like Marseille did 15 years ago. So every match is difficult for Lyon as their opponents are always playing their "match of the year".
But I don't fear for Lyon, they will not be beaten again soon.
I'm feeling more sad about the new stupid defeat of Auxerre... >:(

The legend left us, the story ended. This morning Ferenc Pusk?s, the best hungarian football player ever, died after a long suffer. I won't list his titles - everybody knows that he's on the same page with Pel?, Maradona, Beckenbauer and Platini. Rest in peace!

I just had the info too that Puskas died.
A few statistics (I know CTG loves stats) of this real leader of the Hungarian dream team :
- 83 goals in 84 matchs with Hungary team,
- 511 goals in 533 matchs in championships (Hungary and Spain),
- 41 goals in 36 matchs in european Cup (with Real Madrid).
Nice stats. Rest in peace.

Congratulations to CTG, winner of the tipping competition for NB I 2006/2007! :)
(Look back in the topic for the predictions...)

I've counted the difference between the predicted and real position of each team, and added up these "error points". The results are the following:

1. CTG, 44 pts
2-3. Akoss Poo and Usrin, 46-46 pts.

Btw, Akoss Poo deserves the silver medal better, because I didn't manage to predict the champion: I put MTK to the first place instead of Debrecen.

B?FF!

EURO 2008 qualification:

Group C

Greece
Turkey
Norway
Bosnia and Herzegovina
HUNGARY
Moldova
Malta

Bad luck again... :?

We have beat Malta and Moldova twice, at least 3 points against Bosnia, minimum 2-2 points from the 3 other opponents - recipe for qualification.

My realistic tip:

Malta 6/6 pts
Moldova 4/6 pts
Bosnia 1/6 pts
Norway 1/6 pts
Turkey 0/6 pts
Greece 1/6 pts
Overall: 13/36 pts, 5th place in group C

That was the darkes era of our national football so far (Malta - Hungary 2-1).
