Title: Hall of Fame
Post by: CTG on May 03, 2007, 01:43:15 PM
Question is evident, you can choose maximum 40 people! :)
Title: Re: Hall of Fame
Post by: CTG on May 03, 2007, 01:44:23 PM
Sorry if I missed somebody from the great podiumers or very active pipsqueaks.

40 is only the maximum. You can vote on 27, 12, 9, etc. or a single pipsqueak too. :)

(Don't be modest, vote on yourself too ;D)

There are so many drivers missing - each and every pipsqueak belongs there! See http://www.kalpen.de/stunts/hofame.htm (http://www.kalpen.de/stunts/hofame.htm)!

We have already ~530 pipsqueaks in the stats, I tried to collect the most succesful and the most active pipsqueaks.

Almost sure.

Post by: JTK on May 04, 2007, 02:46:34 PM
I am also very sure, because regarding from earlier contests and when he was still very active the longer contact to Roy Forever he was atotal different charakter than Roy Wiegerinck at all! I do defenitely not think, that they are the same person.

OK then.
JTK : you're the Stunts memory of earlier days of online contests. Did you took part of DeathMan contest ? I managed to found the results of Stunts Grand Prix (Lukas Loehrer's stunts contest back in 1997-1998) but failed to find a still active page with DeathMan contest infos...

Do you still have the tracks, the rules, the months they were raced, the replays and/or the results of it somewhere in your computer ?

Krys, unluckily there is nothing left from Death Man's Competition... try to ask him, maybe he still has something in an archive, but do not hope deeply... :-[ http://stunts.mine.nu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=84 (http://stunts.mine.nu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=84)

You are really old, if you realize that every "novel" idea born in your brain was already published by yourself - several years ago. ::)

I wanted to start a "Hall of Fame" topic with a poll - but now I'm just confused.

This community would be dead without the two rebel Hungarian alcoholists. With us, you can always find an ugly and antipathic opponent to beat.

Yes that's what I mean. Since I joined exists that "plus" in the community taking some competitions to a quirky legitimacy.

So apparently this is the Hall of Fame:

Alain
Alan Rotoi
Bonzai Joe
CTG
Gutix
JTK
Krys Toff
Zak McKracken

Too bad for Ayrton and Akoss Poo and Usrin and Leo Ramone and Mingva and Chulk and Renato Biker.
Title: Re: Hall of Fame
Post by: CTG on February 18, 2015, 06:54:30 PM
For me, the real Hall of Fame is:

Alain: Picasso of Replay Handling
Alan Rotoi: undisputed superhero of ISA/IRC
Bonzai Joe: best driver on Earth
CAP: legend
Duplode: champion, hacker, leader scientist in Stunts
Fdzierva: legend
Inavoeg: legend
Kalpen brothers: engines of Stunts community before 2001
Krys Toff: the one who made the most for this community
Mark Nailwood: the greatest name from the pre-ZCT era
Roy Wiegerinck: the most talented advanced RH opportunist
Zak McKracken: owner of the house where the porn was shooted.

I can't nominate Ayrton, Gutix or Biker in this club. They are just racing machines. While Argammon... well... he's the egoist & self-polishing Cristiano Ronaldo of Stunts. But he's just an Internet Tough Guy.

Great list!

You forgot yourself: Competition-manager, pipsqueak rising from mediocre to elite, ghost-producer and top spammer.

And what about Akoss?

I'm not sure about Inavoeg and Fdzierva. They were great pipsqueaks in their time, but how are they more deserving than Ayrton, Gutix and Renato Biker?
Title: Re: Hall of Fame

CTG is this a way to delegitimize some pipsqueaks?

Look what you wrote and for whom:

- Alain: Picasso of Replay Handling
- Roy Wiegerinck: the most talented advanced RH opportunist
- Ayrton, Gutix or Biker are " just racing machines"
- Argammon egoist & self-polishing Cristiano Ronaldo of Stunts

You know all of these are better pipsqueaks than you and have much better performance. You can't see somebody being better than you without cheating. That's sad.

Yeah, MOST of them were/are probably better pipsqueaks than me. But if you think I'm throwing shit on everybody being better than me, than why do I respect and admire the skills of BJ, Duplode (or even you)? I have no problem with faster pipsqueaks, but speed is not everything. Because being a legend is not only a pipsqueak skill based thing. You need some extra to be honoured. For me, Krys Toff's or Chulk's participation is hundred times more important than Ayrton's or Argammon's.

Alain: crappy live pipsqueak (even he admitted that), but an idol for RH addicts, like me. I'm ways better noRH pipsqueak, but probably worse in RH maxout. Absolute respect for him!

Roy: well... it's a well-known fact that he used advanced RH in 2001 and 2002 (when it was still forbidden). When you and BJ became top drivers, when Mingva published the possibility of undetectable advanced RH, Roy couldn't keep up with you. Considering that he used advanced RH, his winning times seem to be mediorce. BUT! He's an icon, the very first champion of ZakStunts - and based on the few Forum talks I had with him, a good person. But I'm afraid he wasn't even at Chulk's or Dark Chaser's level.

Ayrton, Gutix, Renato Biker: no social life AT ALL. With this effort, you can ask a South Korean geek to play 0-24h. (And I'm not sure if they are real... However, their owner is a lot better RH pipsqueak than me.)

Aryammon: Mr. Superior with big mouth, and even you know that. Yes, he's damned fast, probably the fastest with some cars - but a coward, when his favourite cars are out. He doesn't know the word 'respect', just check your old arguments. Or those against Alain. Alain Pere is ways better than Helmut in my eyes.

1, I won't nominate myself. Let's say I did (and probably will do) many negative things against Stunts world, dominating over my ghost infected competition, useless stats and a few innovations. That's what I call "the necessary bad". About rising: I think many other middle class pipsqueaks would be able to do that, so it's not that important.
2, Mr. Poo? Oh, come on! He's a crappy pipsqueak!!! ;D ;D ;D (my greatest annoying opponent ever, not only in Stunts)
3, Inavoeg and Fdzierva... hmmm... I don't know. Maybe they were really the Ayrtons of the pre-ZCT era. But subjective or not, their names are legendary.

No. I mean it's not counting right the voters. It's impossible to vote twice the same option with the same account.

The system counts the "still existing accounts" in the number of voters line, but keeps the votes of the deleted ones.

Btw I still don't get why do you consider "Picasso of Replay Handling" as a delegitimization. As far as I know, ZakStunts is an RH competition. And Alain was really a role model for mid-class pipsqueaks like me.

OFF: Interview with Alain, http://unskilled.stunts.hu/interview1.htm

I liked the good old times with regular interviews - both the ISA/IRC "press conference after the race" and USC interview chains. We should re-vive them.
