Paks is the town of the only nuclear power station in Hungary. It really deserves a mutant track with a mutant car. Prepare for a mad, claustrofobic run with one of the hyperfast cheat cars... ;)
Coming in three weeks...
Lada Niva Comeback? Knight Rider?
Or Skoda Felicia. Or Honda NSX. Or anything else... :)
Lada Niva Comeback ;)
Track is ready, it will be very-very short (test lap in surviving mode: 36.65)
Spy satellites found it easily, they just had to locate high radioactivity... ;D
Nice landscape.
But icy sharp corners + dirt corners + cork up/down + 270? elevated corner with such a shitty car as Lada Niva comeback ?! >:(
No way, listfiller replay from me expected again. :-X
It's a nervekiller track but short enough. I guess winning time will be around 27-28 seconds.
And here's the track (although it starts only tomorrow):
Track name: Paks
Car: Lada Niva Comeback (Not installed yet? Download cheat cars pack from Zakstunts!)
Difficulty: 4/5
Predicted winning time: 27.50 (shortest USC track ever)
Deadline: 15th November 2007, midnight
First impressions?
From one of the ZS 7.0 threads:
Quote from: Argammon:D
I agree that whether a car is good or not is mainly a matter of taste. But about realistics: If you compare, for example, the lada niva comback with the Porsche Carrera I would claim that the Carrera is at least somehow driving like a car while the niva steers like a space ship from a cheap arcade game.
Now this quote is crystal clear. And for the record, spaceship arcades always stressed the hell off me...

Listfiller replay made in 5 minutes, with most time spent to restart due to this shitty motherf*cking stupid car. >:(
And my feeling for the moment is that I don't think this track/car adequation deserves any replay. :-X
Maybe this month will be my 1st month not appearing in USC scoreboard... ::)
Oh dear this track is aggravating :) I think it's the first time I've wanted to save my replay after 0.01.50...
The 0.3 second XP delay is really annoying on this track because the car is so fast that 0.3 seconds ago, you were at quite a different place. When you drive power gear in the Indy or other normal cars, it's always in large and easily predictable lines, so it's not that important.
I'll try again, but I could get really tired of this track :)

Won't you say that I could be soon the only driver with who raced in 100% of all official races...? :D ;)
Mark: you missed the first two seasons of USC so I'll be the only one taking part all the races.
Krys: you HAVE TO race. :D

As Krys probably understood, I was talking about the official races included in SWR (Participation race = 1,000).
From topic "Stunts World Ranking updates":

Quote from: Mark L. RiversNot racing in ZCT77, for the first time since SWR has been created, AbuRaf70 have a Participation?s Rate lower then 1,000
That means I'm the only one with a full participation race. ;D
Well... Maybe I'll send my listfiller replay just to keep my 100% participation rate, both as USC pipsqueak since its beginning and as SWR classified pipsqueak.
Great. Anyway I guess many other pipsqueaks think the same about Paks. No doubt, it's a really hard track with Lada Niva. ;)

Don't worry. It was a very first try. I'm under winning time predictoin already... Well that's not true but I'm under 30 secs.
Now I'm under 29 secs... beware!!!
Hahaha okay, I'm under 28 without braking. ;D
No time to update but I confirm Chulk's 28.65 sent in e-mail. From now he's leading!
Super Brian 30.75
Mark 28.45
CTG 28.40 :P
Chulk: 28.35 ;)
Hmmm... I can't improve now. Maybe later. :D
Chulk is leading again. Update: dunno when, I'm very tired...
Dottore 27.95
Mark L. Rivers 28.15
(I can't update from workplace)
After a week of reflections, I concluded 10th place overall might be a nice target to aim for now. Thus, I am going to endure the track - expect a opening listfiller soon...

You'll see yourself up and fighting for the lead even sooner than you expect. Car is not that hard once you find its tricks.
This car has no tricks. But the track has. ;)
By tricks I meant the way car handles. Like Countach gearing. It's not a trick but you have to know that to drive faster.
Then just two things to know: short brakes, flat flying. :D
How about and update CTG...? ;)
Chulk: you are just co-leading, so no LTB hours for you, only if you improve 0.05!!!
Update: in the next 12 hours... :D
Site updated. Maybe another update comes on Sunday but after that I won't be here, even not at the deadline - so final update can late a few days due to my health.
If I survive it...

Why not? I read the rules but couldn't find the reason. Anyway I can't improve right now, and it wouldn't make any sense either as I wouldn't reach 150 hours of leading time (a bit more than 6 days) until deadline (only 5 days away). If I had known that 3 days ago when I did that time...
small statement: no replay from me of racing this track cause i cant control that speed hungry beast

I can only say my position is not much better, Felix... even CTG asking Chulk to improve 0.05 for LTB almost feels cruel with the "car".
And speaking of bad-tempered vehicles: will we have a GTO track anytime CTG?

Yep. :)
Chulk: I never thought it will be a problem but if you check the similar standings from the past you will see none of the championships gave LTB for those who just made the same time as the former leader did.
OK, I believe it didn't happen before but you should pt it on the rules. If I had known I would have tried to improve that 0:00.05 gap or I wouldn't have shown my latest replay. No problem anyway. ;)
Hey T?ff! Don't forget to race!!! :D
I wonder if Argammon can do the trick I imagined for this track when I built it...
Quote from: CTGHey T?ff! Don't forget to race!!! :D
My 5-minutes-made listfiller replay is really slow compared to leading times.
I still don't know if I will send it.
I have SuperBrian's replay since a few days but didn't watched it so far. Maybe watching my partner's replay will give me back motivation to race with this sh*tty car... Dunno. It's not my interest to send a listfiller last place for the forthcoming ISM qualification. Maybe I simply won't send any replay.
For me, Stunts must mean fun to make me race. There's not too much fun on the track itself (too much sharp corners and ice IMO) but with such a car... It becomes a nightmare ! ::)
Maybe you will feel better on the next Acura track... ;)
Less than 10 hours left and only 8 pipsqueaks out of pits... COME ON!!!

This car doesn't make me cum on.
Sorry, I couldn't resist to publish this bad joke.
I'm very-very disappointed. Only 9 pipsqueaks at the end, Krys Toff left out a contest after 52 completed USC races (the perfect streak is over), Werda did the same after 21 consecutive races, while Argammon disappeared. Results: a bit later. Little hint: whoever won, it's his first victory in this season of USC...

I think it's for the same reason for Werda, Argy and me : the car.
Some cheated cars are great, some are just useless and forgetable. Niva Comeback is one of the 2nd category.
But the Lada Niva's claim to fame is that it is the fastest car ever. However, I didn't race either because, well frankly because I forgot to send my (not very good) replay created long ago, but didn't race more because, as you know, I hate double corners, and this car was only about double-corners, and in this extremely annoying car. CTG, you knew you were making an extremely annoying track, you must pay the price :P If you want many pipsqueaks, go for tracks like ?zd or Cordoba.
Hope you get through your disease soon and fit for fight again!
Update: tonight.
Next track is for Acura (as I said earlier). Quite short, quite fast and quite easy. But it also contains some sharp corners... ;)

That lives Doc, CTG and CTG out of the question. It's either Mark, me, Duplode (who is in great shape lately) even though he had problems with controlling the car (who didn't?!) or a surprising Superbrian. We'll see tonight. I hope for the 2nd option (obviously ;))
Results, WRL update, analysis, replays: UPDATED!
Special congrats to:
- Mark for his lucky trick
- CTG for finding back to the podium
- CTG for his great performance and the MOR bonus
Shame on section:
Too long to write it. But especially Krys (52 races in a row)

The only one to blame for not seeing me racing is you.
I warned you even before raced started : when you published the map and told the car name.
I had really no motivation AT ALL for racing this track/car couple.

You survived some crappy tracks in other competitions too, now you made your USC record imperfect...
Anyway I'm going to forgive you if you send a strong Si?fok replay this week. ;D
Hyper-crazy trick by Mark, especially thaking in regard how even the simpler cut used by the lot of you feels bloody annoying to perform... :P
CTG, in a mildly cynical mood but otherwise seriously, I ask: shouldn't Super Brian and me recieve the IRC bonus point?

CTG, in a mildly cynical mood but otherwise seriously, I ask: shouldn't Super Brian and me recieve the IRC bonus point?
If you drove the cork up/down then you get IRC bonus... ;)
Duh, what was I thinking ? ???
Sometimes IRC rules are not clear totally, but imagine if you make a slow loopcut, it's still over the track but not accepted...
That's the difference between IRC rules and ISA rules. ISA rules only stated "one wheel on/over the track at all times", but IRC rules stated that you must drive through each obstacle (loops and corkscrews) the intended way.
Crystal clear CTG, I just had some heavy brain fade when ignoring the u/d cork *blushes*. Anyway, thanks BJ for clarifying ISA vs IRC, something I wasn't 100% sure of despite racing WSC for eons...
IMSA Cup was in-between compared to ISA and IRC : Stunts elements were not forced to be raced only if you jump over them (like a cork up/down). ;D
WSC is 100% like IRC.
But now let's turn the page and drive Acura!
