I'm not sure if I mentioned it already, but I had found Kalpen and the other Stunts sites long before I actually entered the community, and back then I briefly considered the idea of joining. While navigating through backup folders from my old computer, I was surprised to find evidence of that fact - competition replays dated from 2004... :) Obviously none of these laps ever reached the scoreboards, although I recall having sent at least one of them to 4DSL, but for some reason - wrong game version maybe? - it never saw the light of the day. I didn't have much motivation to join and remain active back then, not to mention 2004 was an extremely busy year for me (University admission tests), and so nothing else came out of it. After the first months of 2005, I spent two years without playing Stunts, and only after this long while I finally enter a race at Kalpen 2007... Anyway, in case you're curious about what kind of impact my entry would have in 2004 (:D), I attached the laps (all of them are for Mindscape 4D 1.1).
I also remember a test race - never sent the time to scoreboard. It was ZCT12 with LM002 and my result was... well... weak? :D As far as I remember, it was about ~1:47, finishing in the middle of Pershing-Dario-Fred Merc-Judge Greg pack (8-11th place).
Me acuerdo de esa carrera Aburaf! Sali 3º detras de Tsino (Alan?) y Dark Chaser
I remember that race Aburaf talks about! I was 3º after Tsino (Alan?) & Dark Chaser (I think he's away for 2 weeks...) ;)
Segunda Carrera: Hobbiton - Final - agosto 2004
1º Dark Chaser 2º Chulk 5º Ayrton 10º Paleke 18º AbuRaf70 34º Alan Rotoi
Tercera Carrera: Moria - Final - Setiembre 2004
1º Chulk 2º Dark Chaser 3º Ayrton 10º Paleke 16º AbuRaf70 18º Alan Rotoi
Cuarta Carrera: Tirith - Final - Octubre 2004
1º Ayrton 2º Chulk 3º Dark Chaser 10º Paleke 12º AbuRaf70 22º Alan Rotoi
Quinta Carrera: Isengard - Final - Noviembre 2004
1º Ayrton 2º Dark Chaser 3º Chulk 7º Paleke 8º AbuRaf70 15º Alan Rotoi
Sexta Carrera: Mordor - Final - Diciembre 2004
1º Ayrton 2º Dark Chaser 3º Chulk 6º AbuRaf70 7º Paleke 12º Alan Rotoi

Back in the days where I could easily beat Ayrton...
Mistery solved! (I think we talked about it but maybe not in public) Duplode was DQF (sorry! :'()
Reasons might be:
- incomplete rpl
- corrupted file
- empty email (I think was this one)
About Aburaf I miss him. :-\ Chulk and I were talking about him few weeks ago. He feels the same.
There it is! It is entirely possible for me to have forgotten to attach the replay, indeed. Nice memories, anyway...

(Head over to R4K (https://www.raceforkicks.com/index.php?page=race&race=2024-02) to join us at Rivendel!)
You are welcome again 20 years later!
I would like to restart the Stunts clock! :)
