Since 2002, I am always in trouble with controling my weight. That was the year when I had to give up sports - but my hunger did not decrease with that (even worse, I ate more and more). No surprise, the muscular CTG (muhaha, yeah, in 2001) turned into a really fat guy in a few years - I started from ~70 kgs and went up to 99 kgs (2007). After that came rollercoaster effect: sometimes I could go down to < 85 kgs, sometimes ate up to 92-95 kgs. It was so easy to lose weight, but when diet finished, it came back damned fast.
The real problem started in January. I was in fat mode again (~92 kgs) and started to feel quite bad: liver problems (partly because of my weight, but I guess toxicity of chemicals at my workplace have more serious effect on my liver), general weakness and so on. I decided to try a new method: a never ending, but not so intensive diet with eating less fat and spices. It seems to work combined with light training - and with some officinal herb extracts (for example green tea with added CLA). Since February I lose 1 kg/month and the weight of my muscles is also growing. I think this one is the right method: with the less drastic diet I don't feel the temptation for "tuck-in" and I also enjoy the effect of training (I feel stonger and stronger every week). Now I'm about 84-85 kgs - if I reach the magic 80, I'll start the heavier training. I wonder how long my enthusiasm will be...
That's how it goes - not so good these days. :-\
Method: measuring once a week, right after the morning routine (breakfast, drinking 0,5-0,8 l tea / milk / mineral water / etc. , "output").
Seems like a significant weight drop.
My weight was osciallating between 57 to 61 in the past 10 years. Not really interesting.

I haven't weighed myself for several years. I really don't care. I'm getting fatter though, so I've taken up running. Let's see how that goes. Christmas is coming, which usually doesn't help. If only Stunts driving burned calories. Maybe I can get a new external keyboard where the arrow keys take a lot of strength to press down... And the escape button is even heavier, to facilitate hardcore RH workouts.

Having escape key far from the rest of the keyboard would make a good exercise indeed!
Btw when you take mutivitamin pills, your hunger increases. I'm trying to survive the winter under 86 kgs..

The last three Mondays: 82.9, 82.8, 83.4. And now I'm suffering from food poisoning (fuckin' mushrooms).

57?! How tall are you? I'm on 81Kg, 180cm tall

Well, but Usrin is keeping his weight despite the fact that he likes beer. ;D Unlike you.
It is an efficient way to make you shut up for 10 years though... Maybe if you go there again, they will tell you you'll gain weight when you're 40.
BMI is not enough representative. On one hand, it gives the disadvantage to taller people. On the other hand it does not calculate with your "basic form" (weight of muscles, bones). Klitschko's BMI is around 28 - is he really fat? ;D
I think my optimal weight is around 75 kg - that's close to BMI 25. Even my lean body mass is over BMI 20.
I'm around 189/95 now :-[, my BMI is between 26 and 27. Slight overweight.
I would have to lose 6 kgs to equal the upper limit of the normal weight.
Ideal would be 80 kgs, according to the BMI table.

I've already heard that from some of them. :P But they are still better than those who get anxious because of my weight. (Especially old people in my family claim that being so thin is dangerous, it is caused by some hidden illness... and such bullshit.) No, Zak, no one of tham works for insurance providers.
:D
I wish we could make some kind of weight exchange. I'm getting a little fat at the moment, which means I'll have to start running again, which will be cold. But when I do, the light will be returning. I've already really had enough of winter. In my perfect world, the sun would rise at 6AM, set at 10PM and then rise again 10 hours later. So there would be 26 hours to a day. Wait a minute, where were we? Oh yes. Weight. It doesn't really matter, does it? Only if you're so thin you feel physically weak or sway in the wind, or so fat you have difficulty doing things that you really want to do.
I have to disagree. Nowadays you have to be fit, good looking, etc. to get a job (any jobs). Being fat is a huge disadvantage, even in the eye of HR.
I'm ugly, so I need muscles to have a chance (besides my talent in anything else :D).

I disagree! I got all my jobs due to qualification and when we hire, we always look 1. at the qualification, 2. at the persinality, 3. does the person fit in the team and not for beauty etc.
+1.
I don't care about looks. Don`t even care much about qualification either.
Must have good personality with positive thinking, good team player and of course have the required skills.
And must fit within the allocated budget (hard to do in China...)

That depends on the job. If you are a TV star or a model, of course it counts. Same if you're a salesperson or a personal trainer (I wouldn't pay a person to train me if that person itself is obese. I cannot expect him to do with me what he cannot do for himself). Of course there are far more jobs where good looks o being fit do not matter, and luckily those are the really important one. Society can survive without models or TV, but cannot do it without doctors or teachers.
Theoretically you are right, but... researchers say that it's a huge disadvantage to have significant overweight at a job interview. Humans are still humans with all their prejudice, even a boss or an HR assistant.

I was afraid of a possible illness because of the unexpected fast decrease in weight, so I started to eat a lot for a few days.
Friday afternoon (anhydrous and hungry form of CTG): 77.6 kg
Sunday evening (after eating a lot): 82.0 kg (+4.4 is way too much, even if your weight has a natural fluctuation because of the input-output balance)
Monday morning (official measurement): 80.6 kg
The scale works fine (repeatable results), so it's not a technical problem.
The first official one under 80 (79.9, LOL)... :) Too bad, it's only an outlier point on the graph, because I ate up 1-1.5 kgs in the last few weeks.
3 days in Vienna ---> + 2 kgs... :-\
Hopefully < 80 kgs tomorrow morning.

Funny goal after so many lost weight: next week I should be 1.5-2 kg heavier. 74 is really low for me, because my stamina in already under the frog's ass (it was a lot better between 80 and 85). And I also wonder if I can stop losing by will or it's the sign of an illness.

91.5 kgs according to the scale, without having a diet. Living apart from parents changed some things...
BMI table is not that accurate anyway. I'm 180cm and my ideal weight (determined by a doc) is around 82 because I have broad shoulders and practice Judo (so I should have more muscle than the average). My brothers ideal weight is around 82 as well because he's tall but smaller in shoulders and hip than me, even though he's 189cm tall. So it's best to get it checked by a doc instead of using that BMI table.

Well, BMI really has some problems, since it does not take into account some things:
- gender (I think between a girl and a boy with the same height, a boy has a higher ideal weight)
- muscles (which is heavier than fat)
- body frame (for example me and our family have quite heavy bones)
- and somewhat surprising, but height (even the English Wikipedia admits that an exponent higher than 2 would be more realistic... the system 'favours' the shorter people... even CTG and me had already noticed this)
Considering all the things (male, 28.5, muscular legs, weak upper body, relatively massive body frame, 189 cms of height), I think the BMI table values are close to truth. It says my NORMAL weight is between 71 and 89 kgs, 80 kgs is ideal (89-107 kgs overweight, 107+ obesity). I find 71 too little for a man like me, but I consider 83 kgs as my own ideal weight, because at the age of 20-22 (with having all maleish features developed in me) I ran very good times with that weight data. My current weight is in real can be around the limit of the normal weight and overweight.
Then I started to do less sports (no university P.E. classes, our football team fell apart, I abandoned running, only cycling remained), I started to like beer and my body did not immediately notice that I'm a mature man - my stomach needed the same amount of food for a while (it's something like the demographic transition ;D). My body weight reached as high as 99 kgs a few years ago.
Now I'm living apart from my parents and I'm a working man now, I have taken up hiking - my weight started to fall at last. I'm on the right way without a diet to get into the 80s again.
Btw I've read that BMI between 25-30 (especially closer to 25, like mine, which is around 26 now) practically does not contribute anything to health risk... It is more like an aesthetic aspect.

I have to eat more and more. Yesterday it was damned hard to finish a 32 cm pizza (okay, it was a spicy one with hot pepper). Few years ago it was an easy task for me.
That's totally normal.
When I was 17, I was still hungry after eating a 32cm pizza.
When I was 23, one pizza was just fine.
Today I can only eat 60-75% of it.
Same weight throughout. No change.
Yeah, the recipe of a typical Friday night in 2007 was:
- 3-4 portions of chili beans / lecsó or a 32 cm (sometimes 45 cm) pizza
- huge pocket of chips
- 300-400 g cheese
- 3 l beer (or 1.5 l wine)
Good old times close to 100 kg... :D
Some food are too delicious to stop eating it when it is enough for your body... for example pizza, chili beans, spaghetti etc. ... I can eat them even if I'm absolutely not hungry, or if I am hungry, I can eat more of it than that would be sufficient for me...
But when I eat food which I don't really like, 500-600 kcal/portion can be enough for me...

Very fresh measurement (taken 2 minutes ago); 61.8 kg. It still doesn't matter how much do I eat during Easter (also ate huge amount s of ham, cakes and similar 'healthy' things)...

The last 4 weeks: 73.9, 73.9, 73.8, 73.8; I could never produce such a stable month before that.
The lack of exercises (because of my injuries) brought back some extra weight: 74.9 kg at the moment (it was 76.5 right after the Belgian trip, but with some intestinal problems, like no "output" for 4 days... :D). I need a strict diet, again...
90.5 kg. Two weeks ago, this value was 96.5 kg.

93 this morning, before a big shitting. That's surprising, because I thought I had eaten a lot this weekend. The Saturday morning 94 could be a peak value.

Dieting is not enough if you don't exercise
I mean an extra "cleaning" diet, free from some harmful ingredients (e.g. more fruits/non-puffing vegetables, less spices, a lot of herb tea, etc.) - although I keep the gluten/lactose/egg/soya free and low fat diet for almost a year. Losing some weight was only an extra expection - and maybe useless, too. I'm not fat at the moment (facebook photos prove it :D).
Exercises: it's forbidden at the moment, waiting for shoulder surgery (probably in October). However, running is still an option - I gave it up in the spring when > 25°C weather arrived.
I took up running recently again coupled with some light body exercises at home (no mountain in Shanghai... :'() so far results are promising, I am already under 23 minutes on 5km starting from an embarrassing 25 mins. Goal: 20 mins.

Overestimated. Daily average, since I'm on a lactose- / glutene- / soya- / etc. free diet (40 days):
- 2480 kcal
- 106 g protein
- 267 g carbohydrates
- 100 g fat
- 4.4 l fluid (mainly mineral water and tea)
Registering again (since 10th February), daily averages:
- 2430 kcal

- 249 g carbohydrates
- 88 g fat
- 23 ccm alcohol ::)
- fluid intake must be similar to the old data, no registration

Season record: 71.8 kg (I'm losing weight again, my power is decreasing, my mood is getting depressed, böff).
Saturday evening, after hiking, new record since I have my own scale (=since last December): 96.9 kgs.
I could have been a bit dehydrated, since this morning I measured 97.7 kgs.
Calculating with 97.7 kgs, taken as real value:
Obsolete BMI: 27.35
Modern BMI: 25.86
According to Modern BMI, I should reach 94.44 kgs. It seems there is too little time to do so before Bulgaria...

BMI and modern BMI are bullshit, ideal weight is depending rather on your basic muscle weight and the thickness of your bones (e.g. I would be unable to go under 65 kgs without cancer or any other serious illnesses).
My measurements: nothing interesting, fluctuating between 72 and 75 kgs.

Of course everybody has her/his own reasons why she/he is that heavy... I have thick bones, I am muscular (being muscular to the extent which affect BMI badly is unhealthy I think, as well, so BMI is somewhat correct here as well), I am taking medicine which cause obesity, I am taking contraceptives, I don't have time to do sports, my parents had overweight as well etc... but BMI, and especially new BMI (which was recommended even by the inventor of the formula, yes, with the 2.5 exponent) is a very good normative index.

70kg two days ago :)
I'm shitting on armwrestling. I measure my performance in hiking/climbing/biking.
And this morning I measured 97.0 kg - on the strictest scale, which is located in my living-toom (96 kg at my grandma's).
I was 102-102.5 kg in December-January. Now I can wear W34 L34 jeans leisurely again.

Despite of hiking/climbing/biking/etc., it's quite a slow decrease. You should be under 90 with a proper additional diet (less fat, more protein) and light workout.
Today morning: 74.2 kg, nothing special. Probably the most boring year from the aspect of my weight.

I don't think that I eat much fat. I just eat way too much carbohydrate. And alcohol intake also contributes to energy overconsumption.

1, It also depends on what kind of carbohydrate you eat (glycaemic index). I guess you eat too much bread and maybe pasta.
2, Oh well, alcohol... the same problem here. I guess that's the "magic" ingredient keeping my weight at this level. However, it's worth to check the nutritional value of different alcoholic drinks (per ccm alcohol). You have to avoid sweetened drinks, e.g. cider, vermouth, Martini, some herbal liqueurs, etc. Beer is only slightly better. On the other hand, red wine (dry!) has rather advantageous effect on your weight and your cholesterol level (also decreasing triglycerids level in your blood).

When I arrived at home after work, I weighed 95.9 kg. New record on the scale! Though I was thristy - this means it's not an official weight record. Lowest value since the late summer of 2013.
Congratulations!
I don't think I've weighed myself for about 10 years.
95.6 kg, dehydrated, after a biking, 1-2 weeks ago, unofficial record
96.0 kg yesterday morning, OFFICIAL record
